Fast becoming a favourite of mine. He is one of those players who is always nipping at your ankles. Chases, harasses, tackles then gets up and creates an option moving forward and kicks goals. I’d love to see a bit of mongrel in his game and get in the oppositions face occasionally. Not sure that is his style tho..

On paper I like Petty, JVR and TMac as our preferred forward structure. It brings aerial and ground ball contest and 3 mobile forwards able to rotate moving up the ground and back. But, BBB has been kicking goals. I liked Petty’s game last week. He competed in the air, on the ground and always looked dangerous. The goals will come. Loved how he brought some mongrel in the forward line. Inferred pressure is important and creates turn over.

There isn’t many games you would think of as a blockbuster, much watch game. The tiges and bullies game is the only game you would think with form and rivalry could make an interesting game. Pies and Lions should be a good watch depending on which Lions outfit turns up. I’ll be cheering for the Crows and Hawks…

Just had a look at Big Footy and the Colonwood site is in melt down. They are eating each other up with Grundy. They call us ‘Dreamons’ and Grundy, Soy Boy. 🤣😂 Enjoy your beers for breakfast Colonwood boys.

Is Schache a possible selection if BBB needs a rest and TMac needs an extra run at VFL level? TMac hasn’t played for 9 months prior to his two games this year and looked rusty and not up to speed.

Our forward talls were mobile and defensive attacking. They were a presence when they did not mark.

What I really loved about today, was the in experienced players who played well. The usual suspects provided their usual influential games. Clarry, Trac, Viney, May, Lever etc etc. when they play well it allows others in the game. Chandler is a pocket rocket. When he doesn’t have the ball, he harasses, gets in good positions, defends, and has impact. He is the Goodwin mantra - defence equals attack… 3 goals from limited possessions, but was BUSY all game. Mc Vee. Did not see this coming. Love how he plays to his strengths and has influence. An AA under 16 year old player and Taylor picked the teeth and got a player here. JVR, We all saw this coming. His cameo’s were at important times in the game. Experience will create consistency. 3 goals, WOW!! JJ, important and unassuming as a midfielder. Keep him. Meat and pototoes. I love protein and carbs. Sparrow was good too. Was he tagging? He was in centre bounces a lot today. Petty is a tall strong athletic KPP. I thought he was dangerous. As a forward you never discount him. In the air, on the ground, or as defensive forward. He can compete, he can run. Naughton like. But not saying he is as good. The dynamic up forward was dynamic with him there. We were more mobile.

An anxious Sunday wait is on the cards. If our flankers have a good game, Bowey, Rivers, Spargo, Chandler and ANB, this means our mids and KPP’s are doing well and we can play our game and we win. If not we are doomed to this strangle hold the Swans have on us for at least one more game. Win or lose, I just hope Goody does something different. GO DEE’s

I like it DD. JVR for Gawn now Schache is concussed. Grundy will be playing ruck for 90% of the game, if fit. BBB, Petty and JVR as the three pronged attack. If JVR does not have the endurance, play him rotating off the bench.

Any update on Schache’s head knock? Could be his opportunity to perform.

This has to be up there with the best most consistently played, first 150 games in the history of the AFL. Definitely at the MFC. Clarry is better than a generational player. It takes many generations to find someone of his quality. Congrats and THANKS Clarry

Watts was a silky classy player. If he were in the draft pool now, we would not draft him. Not competitive for our current draft strategy/policy
