Just had a read up on his bio. Strong tall-ish inside midfielder with good burst speed. Question Mask on his kicking.. he could be an upgrade on Harmes and JJ who look gawn at the end of year.

Just realised Paddy Dow has been left out again… Given the injuries the Blues have I find it very strange. Would he compliment our midfield as a trade prospect next year?

I too, was not overly enthusiastic when we took Jefferson. I became enthusiastic with his VFL start and have tempered again. My worry with drafting Jefferson was he was not a high possession winning junior, but he could lead, mark and kick straight. What I have liked about watching him at VFL he showed he was not a one trick pony as a leading forward, he has manufactured goals in other ways. He is a kid who has been pushing his body to the limits and he was always going to taper off. No need to catastrophise yet..

Agree WJ. This means a game plan that matches our first 3 to 5 matches this year. Run, carry and/or 30 meter passes to a free man. Forward fast ball movement. Chandler and Spargo were influential.

Im a fan of Larkey and Marshall, but are they gettable and at what price? I would not question JVR with courage tho. He eats courage for breakfast .

Jake Riccardi has shown some promise. He is one that could come cheap-ish. Good age and size. I haven’t seen much of him of late therefore I don’t have much of an informed idea.

Bring in Howes or Disco, and play Rivers in the midfield. Rivers has form and confidence. Howes and Disco have good consistent form at Casey.

The fact is no one will replace Oliver, and we have cover. The club may need to rethink our midfield set up. Sparrow, JJ, Harmes, Kozy (more time in the midfield may give him some form), Rivers, Brayshaw, Salem, ANB, Chandler, Dunstan etc etc can go through the midfield. I like the idea of a tagging midfield with our flankers/wingers providing the drive. Back to the early season form with those with good skills kicking and running through the opposition in to a forward line that leads to the ball carrier. Stop the continuous long kick down the line including kick ins.

Whilst this situation is not good on any level, it does not, in any way exonerate Clarkson from what could be racist behaviour. The process is flawed, but if true, the behaviour warrants accountability. If wrong, the AFL needs to be hung out to dry.

Loved how he called out to the Richmond bench when Nathan Brown broke his leg. A sign of the man and that injury was gut wrenching awful.

I still do not understand how this is only a 2 week injury. I need 2 weeks rest just thinking about. Poor fella!!
