  1. Chandler, Disco, JVR, Dunstan, Smith, Thommo. forwards, mids and backs. purposely left out the younger dudes. As you said, who we recruit. it’s not doomsday
  2. The club would not entertain this if they didn’t have other plans in place. The club always goes into trades with a eye wining trade week. Not individual trades
  3. I was told by more than one Jackson would go to Freeo. My sources are secret too SWYL. I would have thought the whole AFL industry new this in August….
  4. Maybe GWS are offering Finn as a salary dump for pick 5….. I hear his base wage is backend and they are up to their ears in salary cap issues re signing Hogan.
  5. I’ve read both, early and after. Just being hopeful here.
  6. Life is like a box of chocolates! Touché
  7. Word is the Grundy deal will happen early. With GWS and the Tigers making a deal tomorrow, Im hopeful A great win if the club can make it happen!
  8. Still, move on!!!
  9. We were injured and banged up twice they beat us this year Move on.
  10. Yep, the Cats were sick in the prelim last year. We all bagged their squealing about it this year. Time to move on and shut down our squealing. They were the best team in 2022. Time to up our game. We are good enough if we do!
  11. I’m hoping for an upgrade from our 33rd pick to one within 25. Give that to Colonwood for Grundy. Massive win IMO!! GWS have too many picks with Taranto and others leaving. No skin off their nose. We could use the Jackson picks from either Freeo or WC to move up the draft in this deal too.
  12. Some spread wtf
  13. Unimaginative footy!!! Same ole, same ole. It’s like the term “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result”. Our win/loss in the last 10 weeks is less than 50%. Oppositions are working us out. I get the game style is not completely broken, but make the opposition question or think we may change things up on occasion. Switch the ball…… stop running forward up the line and get some spread. The midfield all run one way together forward…. We do not have a crash and bash strong tall forward. We have Melksham (playing well), Fritta and Brown who can lead if we only, on occasion spread it wide, and let them lead and mark. It’s better than relying on rucks marking and kicking behinds.
  14. Completing Trades isn't about trades in isolation, its about all the trades and how it moves the club forward. Preuss is a valuable back-up Ruckman that will swap with Gawn as a forward/spare roaming backman. Weakness on our list fixed. May is the strong key back man we needed. Weakness fixed KK is the outside class we needed. I would have like more pace and outside class brought in, but another hole in our list that is hopefully fixed The other fact is that the club scored more when Hogan was not in the team. You could say he was surplus to need. Kent and Tyson were also surplus to need too. KK and May are first round picks. Getting in 2 first round class players with an early 2nd round pick is a win for me, when Hogan was an inconsistent brat with terrible foot skills
  15. If Melksaham and Hibberd make us a better team I could not give a rats. They are clean now and deserve respect if they perform. Too much morality on here and I would guess thtat most on here have sucked on a doobie or taken other dugs. If DL took a drug test on posters here, I'd say see you in two years. Seriously hope Saty is a massive drug user and DL take a drug testing policy. Some serious delusions of granduer over stating his knowledge and relationship with our playing group
  16. Since Frost has played down back he has partnered up extremely well with TMac. Frosts pace has stopped the leaks of over the back easy goals to the opposition.
  17. Chanel 10 reported the Melksham deal is completed. Pick 25 going to Essendon
  18. Can some one direct me on how to 'block' someone. Seriously, there should be a limit on how many posts one can make per day.
  19. Our 2nd pick will be outside the top 25 with concessions for free agency. Therefore a good deal,
  20. Can't believe ppl are talking about an upgrade on Terlich, Matt Jones and McKenzie. Surely our trading period/strategy is aiming higher. melksham has been held back from a toxic club (Essendon). Therefore he is an unfulfilled talent. I have trust in our current crop of recruiters and coaches. Watch this space me thinks.......
  21. Your soft with your thoughts. You wanted instant gratification with Jimmi, didn't get it, therefore your crying like a baby!!!
  22. C'mon Nasher/Demonland. Its just not the same without the 100 odd pages and 100,000 looks into this once great thread!
  23. On another note. Did anyone hear Buckley on SEN today. I heard Buckley saying that Dawes was told by the Dees that his days were numbered at the Pies therefore he chose the Dees to play next year, or something to that effect. Does Buckley really believe that Pie supporters will believe that. He was a contracted player who could have stayed, or the Pies forced to stay if they chose. Buckley is a tool who I hope fails as a coach. Over rated player too. Pie supporters seem to be OK with Dawes leaving. IMO too many short sighted supporters in the AFL (including pie supporters). Dawes has played well as FF and was forced to play up the ground and went backwards. Whilst he is not a star, he is a more than handy FF. I'm backing Dawes to get back to form with Mitch and Pederson up along side him.
  24. I too, old dee, have not read all the 'Tanking' threads. I prefer to keep my head in the sand and not get caught up in the drama (on here). On another note. I'm hoping Tippett goes into the ND. GWS will pick him up, leaving Toumpass or Wines to us. Add to that, i hope Jacobs leaves PA and we pick him up in the PSD. We need all the luck we can get. We may have some low draft picks next year. I'm hoping for Premiership points taken off us next year. I dont think we will make the 8 regardless
