Mitch Clarke, Jessie Hogan, Oliver Wines and Viney 2nd Round > Scully and pick 12
-
Think that their are 3 more brothers to come.
-
prudent? who uses that word these days
-
I think Hogan would be a great outcome, secure a KPF young so we wouldnt fall short again. I mean honestly, would we really be able to fit all of Mayes, Toumpas, Vlastuin and Viney in our midfield. Im sure 3 out of those 4 would be enough.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
olisik replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
To be honest I think the new system of f/s is a good one and is quite fair. The thing that's bad about it and isn't fair is how the AFL is implementing it. They seem to like to change rules on the fly without properly bringing it in slowly. Last year clubs were picking up greats for 3rd rounders, now we are going to have to potentially pay overs by a few picks for a F/S. Within a 1 year turn around that's quite a drastic change, the AFL needs to learn the term 'phasing' and implement this slowly. An appropriate way would have been to have a few years of clubs having to pay at the highest 2nd round picks or so. Or each year gradually lower the minimum pick # that a club would need to pay for a F/S. Not change it so one year your paying a pick in the 40s to the next year you are paying a pick in the top 3. I hope we pick up Viney but I am quite sick to death of the way the AFL try to implement rule changes on the fly and so abruptly so often. I am glad the AFL arn't politicians as if they were one day we would be allowed to drink, smoke, take drugs in public, then the next day we would be looking at the death penalty for it. Whats the point of the integrity officer if they cant even look at the integrity of themselves? -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY

Read somewhere that Viney is rubbed out for 1 week for misconduct during his Casey game last week. His still a junior, it hasn't taken him long to settle in. -
They need results, imagine what a midfield of Jaegar O meara, Toumpas, Ablett, Swallow and Bennell could produce
-
There is 2 weeks left, any player with more then 1 week of injury will be listed as season.
-
Toumpas might go pick #2
-
Not until his safely netted for 2nd round draft pick he aint.
-
I highly doubt 2-3 games for Casey would be considered 'valuable' chances to give him experience when he is about to embark on a 13 year career. And based on what he has dished so far would any team want to take him with a pick 1 and 2. If they bid on him and waste there pick then it ll be better that he has less experience anyway as we will be enjoying the brand new Jimmy Toumpas or Lachie Whitfield that we'll draft instead.
-
Lets hope he dosn't

i like the sound of Emmanual Irra. 2nd or 3rd rounder maybe Kevin Sheehan says: “Small midfielder who is extremely quick and skilful on both sides. Born in Uganda and has already played senior football at South Adelaide. Played for the World Team in the 2010 NAB AFL Under-16 Championships before playing for SA in the 2011 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and the 2012 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships. Has a huge appetite for the game and a big upside in terms of future development. From AIS-AFL Academy’s 15th intake. ”

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JIMMY TOUMPAS
olisik replied to Demanding Success's topic in Melbourne Demons
Due to his injury/operation there is a pretty good chance others will overtake him in the run home. O'Rourke seems to be killing it at the moment. Mayes may come out of his shell or confidence in Garletts off field issues may be resolved. -

Dont want to break your ego or anything but what you 'consider' him to be may not necessarily be what he goes. Many others see Grundy as pick #2 -
Morton...
-
Jungle Dee = Grun Dee? Another player who supported the MFC as a junior and went on to do bigger and better things at other clubs?
-
Easy on Jungle Dee, his gonna be upset when we dont draft Grundy

Beams signs for 3 ... Cloke edges closer to Dees?
olisik replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
By having 2 power forwards 1 will be able to leave the 50m arc and get the ball themselves. Thats the wonder of it all. who needs mids when you got forwards who go and collect it themselves -
After walking out on a club? I highly doubt that..
