Vlad has been under a lot of pressure over the past 5 years. Clubs are trying to gain the best possible advantage for their clubs, whilst still wanting to grow the game nationally. GWS has not been going long enough to determine whether it will be a success. It really will need at least 10 years to see if they can be consistently competitive. MELB has been an anchor and an embarrassment to not only us supporters but the all the clubs and the AFL. DRUGS (performance enhancing ) Again clubs trying to gain the edge, by cheating. All the other items are set up by sub committees to try and rectify problems that exist by changes in the game, changes that coaches have instigated to gain an edge. I find the biggest problem Vlad has is the leaking of information to the media. If he stops the leaks, then a lot of his problems will disappear.

Potentially a great Thread. I just finished watching The Season Review ....by Nathan Jones. It was the sound of a very frustrated man. Although he knew he had his back by all in the mid field. When speaking to Roosy they all said that they needed more experience in the mid field so that Nathan could be freed up to show his true potential. (not exactly what Nathan said but you could see where he was going) Nathan envied Toumpas and Viney as being the future of the midfield, but couldn't do it on their own. Now I know we have been saying for years our Mid field is our Achilles heel. Maybe the answer is not all that far away. Yes we need a better midfield, more talent yes, but players who can attract more attention, so that it ends up being a 1 on 1 match up. rather than the 3 on 1 that NJ doesn't enjoy. 1 elite player doesn't make a midfield. 2 Very good team players added to another very good player can end up being an elite midfield

Nate is definitely our best midfielder, but definitely not A grade. I reckon if you went through 17 other clubs, they would have 2 better mid fielders each that would rate better than Nate. We need an A grade mid fielder to show us the way. I don't know who the club is targeting, but they should be after someone who is paid unders at their club and offer him. The captains job and the $$$ to go with it. We have not had an A grade mid field leader since Todd Viney. Look what's happened to the club since he left.

Relying on fundraising has always been an easy out for the club. Totally unsustainable. Great to see him going to the FR to seek support. Fundraising should only be the icing on the cake. Get the club winning and the flow on effects will happen.
