Delistings/trades at end of the season
Return to Glory replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
The trouble with your posts is that they lose all credibility when you include terms such as ' you're a spud, loudmouth, hero'. I'm not saying you are but it makes you come across as a bit of a [censored]. -

A Very Restricted 'Restricted Free Agency'

Ta GRRM. So, in other words, it's still a significant advantage. You only have to look at recent drafts, including the upcoming one, to see how much these clubs have been advantaged. -

Not as long as they have their Academy. -
Hope Toump stays and is given an extended run in the ones, just not off a half back flank. Don't believe for an instant that the kid doesn't have talent but, like others bereft of confidence, jumps at shadows when under the pump. In short, backing him in (unless he gets traded upon which I'll remove him from my favourite player list).

Free agency here really came about because player agents saw an opportunity to double dip - and they have taken full advantage of a flawed system. -
One KPI would be that I'm not waiting for the Sandy Line train to come at half time because I couldn't cope with another two quarters.

We live in a professional world SWYL. Let's get the very best clock monitor we can. Someone from Seiko. It'll send a message to all other clubs as to the type of outfit we are.

You're right Daisycutter but there's also the motivation that can come from a setback, from wanting to save face. Didn't hurt Dustin Martin.

A contribution which won't be matched in a hurry.

So what if you're 86 DIO. You nailed the other stuff!!!

I'm not sure about Howe. I posted earlier that a reality check may turn him around but, of course, a great offer would be hard for the club to refuse.
-
I may well be a spud (for what I'm not sure) but I've got a handle on full stops, spelling and the difference between his and he's. Howe's that for a treble!

I know. I was promised it was just going to be hot 30 year old chicks with time on their hands and a love of the Melbourne Footy Club. Alas, life throws curve balls.
-
Can't be bothered with The Australian and Smith's a plonker.
-
It's like tinder.
-
The flip side of this is that it may well be the reality check he needs. If he stays I wouldn't be surprised if he had a great year.

How about a hypnotist? 'Dawesy, when the footy arrives your hands will be like glue. 1,2,3 awake. Go get em' sport iron gloves'

Hope not. I remember wanting the Cats to win a Premiership ten years ago. Unfortunately, success has let the genie out of the bottle and unleashed smug, Country Road clad, prack supporters on us. I preferred it when they were the subjects of pity.

Come on Song, you've marked essays worse than this, surely? -

Now that would be a sensation. -
I can report that Colin Sylvia will not be returning to the club to act as mentor.
