I occasionally have a look at his phantom drafts. There's a fair bit of guess work in the whole thing. -

Generally a mist descends upon me when trade calculations are discussed so I don't quite get how we secure Prestia if indeed that's the plan. -

There are plenty of ways a young player can be a bust besides injury ProDee. -

Had a listen to the Alex Neal-Bullen interview, having read the transcript earlier. This in itself is quite sad. And I've stated earlier, I rate him. You could make the case that we have previously recruited footballers who are also 'good citizens'. ANB, however, comes across as a young bloke who wants to be part of something special and will do whatever it takes to make it happen. Big difference. He's a part of what I see as a group of young players with a pack mentality (that's what will move the club forward imo) Notwithstanding the physical attributes, I'm hoping whoever we recruit has the same mentality and gets on board with the likes of Viney, Stretch, Hogan and Salem. Probably, that's why I'm wanting Parish. My gut feel is that he plays like he doesn't expect to lose. -
"I cannot forecast to you the actions of Jack Watts. He is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma: but perhaps there is a key. That key is playing him as a permanent third tall." Winston Churchill

You're absolutely right Munga. Does Taylor base his selection on what he's read in the lead up or the games his recruiters went to throughout the year? (rhetorical)

Easy to spot? Really SWYL? I just thought their strategy was deny, deny, deny. I think, as a by product the players left but I would find it incredible if this was a planned strategy. -
Curnow has, for mine, become overhyped. May well turn into a very good footballer but if we are choosing between him and Parish, I'd be staggered if we chose Curnow.
-
That seems logical RB but do any of us really have any idea? It's possible we have decided, say, Francis is vital to us going forward or Carlton is opting for Curnow (probably not) thereby changing everything.
-
Ahh, I see. For a moment I thought it was me but, of course, it's you. I feel better JH.
-
Um, sure. Just the one thing - wtf are you talking about JH?
-
As did I JH and Lucas Cook before him (I wish I was joking). But life moves on and I have replaced Jimmy as my favourite player with ANB. Why not do the same? Go to your user profile and under favourite player type Dean Terlich. You won't regret it.

Jack's ok.

Odd

Don't know jr but I've backed her straight out. Hayes is travelling pretty well currently.
-
I'd love her to sweat up Biffen.
-
And mechanics over quoting. And shirts marked XL that are actually an L
-
Nah, you're right Deeoldfart. I've got the same gut feeling. The next few years are going to be an exciting period for the club and I think it will be your unheralded players who will step up - Stretch, Neal - Bullen, Harmes.
-
Spot on summation ProDee. And he does it on a regular basis. There may well be blokes with 'higher ceilings' as the experts term it, but right now we need blokes who can get to the contest quickly, time and time again.
-
You weren't the only one initially excited about Jimmy WJ. I'm still a little gutted that he didn't make it with us. This bloke really hunts the ball though...reckon he's a different type of cat.
-
Wiser than you look Mungason People with better memories can let me know if I've got the timings wrong but... I seem to recall Voss, with no fear for his safety, going for a ball full tilt against West Coast in Perth and breaking his leg. It was almost hyper courage (yeah, that's right, hyper courage!)and I'm trying to remember if it was before their golden run. I think it was.

Lot of phantom drafts around WJ. It's a little hard to know if any know anything at all. -
And nurses. Sid James was on to that little lurk early
-
That would work for an interstate clash SWYL or even when we play those farkers at the pussery.
