AFL Multicultural and Indigenous Academies
Return to Glory replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
For mine, there's an obvious issue. Some clubs will clearly have access to growth corridors and the corresponding increase in population, young families and talent. I.e. We have Dandy and South East region but the big boon in footy club (sport in general) participation around that way has been around Pakenham and throughout Gippsland, Hawthorn's marker. Perhaps I misunderstand....possible -

Tell me Doc Evil, was he smiling? Dirty, stinking, bustard. I'm just hoping it was a grimace. I can handle a grimace...but grinning is a spit in the face for the club imo -

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'd hope that he's half as good as Riccuito tbh (who was a great footballer and leader) Let's remember, like Petracca, he's yet to get a kick. -

The alternative for Wagner, I guess, would be that he's been on song. Or has been instrumental in drills. Sorry. Or he doesn't know what he's doing. -
That's a long bow you draw Deecisive. If there is indeed footage to corroborate the police determination as well as independent witnesses, this drunken escapade by the AFL's very own bikie has little in common with the wall of secrecy and systematic destruction of evidence underlying the Essendon saga.

Agree entirely BBO. Little question that Martin's a first class [censored] but the speed in which the 'victim' was interviewed by her employer, made one think it was being milked for all it's worth. For mine, it' was just another chance for news services to lead in with, 'social media erupted today when...'. And perhaps I just don't get it (entirely possible) but public opinion as reflected in social media appears to now be driven by feminazis and poonces with little room for alternate opinion.....lo and behold a twitter storm erupts ([censored] hilarious)

JUDGEMENT DAY - THE "BOMBER" 34

Spot on. Doc Reid was incredibly unlucky that the letter was not received. Even more unlucky, he forgot to follow up on it. -

http://thenewdaily.com.au/sport/2014/05/01/networker-gillon-mclachlan-landed-footys-top-job/ I must say that I'm very impressed with the bang up job Gill 'I have no knowledge or visibility of impending infraction notices' McLachlan is doing. Adding to that, he's a very good polo player also and has a wealth of connections. Let's not worry that he can't do the job. He looks like a CEO (albeit from central casting) and that's the main thing. -
I'm just worried that Dill McLachlan may be forced to make a decision of some sort (anything really) rather than default back to his 'Simon the Likeable of the polo set' routine.

Tried listening to SEN the other morning and turned on whilst Gaze was speaking. Very hard to listen to. For a big bloke he has a horribly whiney voice. And Harford and Allen as drive home fundamentally teams up two blokes lacking in charisma. I'd prefer Roy Slaven.

Agree there Olisik. Once Bonner went, it had that feel about it too. Still, we have our back up ruckman but I would have loved a steal - as you say. -

I looked at the clips too DA and I thought his tap work looked a little too like round house swings (don't mean to be a wet blanket here but to me it stood out). Thought he moved around the ground ok though and, as others have mentioned, looks like a competitor. I do agree KDA with your comments about returning from setbacks. -

Ok, had a look - this is the bloke I'm excited about. Thought I detected a little swagger and looks pretty coordinated for his size. -

What about when he did a reverse pike, ball in hand, spun out of traffic twice, pirouetted, brushed his teeth and dobbed it from 70? -

The thing I worry about is outside speed BBO. It's been a problem for a while now and I can't see how it's been addressed. But, hey, welcome ranga. -

I'm probably not as sold on him as others BBO. But that's ok. Happy to be wrong. As long as we haven't managed to outsmart ourselves. -
