  1. Do I detect a lack of enthusiasm there ?
  2. Sounds great in theory. If we keep a fit list anything can happen . Sofa So Good.
  3. Dual citizenship? I'm sure there are many with more moral issues than that on the Cote D'or .
  4. The Past has Passed us by. Need anyone remind you Stuie that "well thought out" is not your strong suit either.
  5. He's just big boned.
  6. That's true 50% of the time, but statistically wrong more often than that. How many of our players gave it 110?
  7. Could work well for us . We will have a pretty tall ,mobile team that should be able to take marks ,and you would expect more long kicks as teams fatigue . I think I agree with Ben Hur which can happen on rare occasions. It will stop the rolling ruck ,the maul ,the flooding etc that has made the game a bit too congested for my liking. Hate Vlads attitude and the way he has dictated rather than consulted but ultimately i think it will be a better spectacle for the change .
  8. Hopefully he is a Melbourne player. Or will be. We can slot him up front somewhere.
  9. There is a showdown looming at Glenferrie Oval this year. Franklin and Clarkson are not talking to each other over an issue to do with Buddies partying. A source has told me the words "it's either him or me" were uttered in a conciliation/ crisis meeting . The club is divided over it. Not a happy team at Hawthorn. Personally I'm pretty happy with it.
  10. Aim higher Stuie . It's a cliche but when it bends ,it is funny. when it breaks ,it's not funny. Otherwise , Carry on being your wonderfully sharp witted self and lay off the amyl nitrate, mate.
  11. Niether the Australian Govt nor the AFL is in danger of going broke . I am aware of the difference between a surplus and a deficit.
  12. Me too in the late eighties. Had some big nights there!
  13. Wow-things are already better than last year. We won with fewer possessions, more tackles, more clearances, centre bounces, less inside 50s and less marks inside fifty. Looks like we are being coached not to murder the ball too much. Sellar and Magner, who I consider battlers, may be on the up. The others in the best are Nifty , Pickles and Tappy as well as Col. Most of these guys were injured this time last year. All sports require some luck. All we've ever had is bad. Hats off to Misson for the injury list being so small.
  14. Not really the place for politics Robbie but your conservative views on nearly every subject bore me to death. Your over simplistic presentation of fiscal issues is as tedious as the Liberal mantra "we will not raise interest rates" when in fact the raising and lowering of interest rates is set by the Reserve Bank. Successful Economic policy in Australian Fiscal matters has been lead by Keating and more recently Rudd/Swan. Your advocation of stringency during duress (GFC) would have been financial suicide for this country . The money in the coffers doesn't belong to Liberal or Labor mate ,and the spending of it is what keeps this society ticking or limping along ,as the case may be . It's not your private account that the reds are spending so relax .It belongs to us all . If you know something on the issue ,share it ,but don't parrot pathetic media grabs . I though you might have a little more to you than that .
  15. Why is a Roos joke less serious than a Connolly joke? What a joke.
  16. We are history . Watson fails again . Clarke on his own . Wade batting above his abilities. Hussey left a big hole. Completely screwed. 0-4 minimum and Zero hope for the ashes.
  17. Ben, You're wrong again. Grinter was the epitome of tough. He ran hard and straight and never deviated, slowed down, or dodged a collision. His primary focus was the ball on 99% of occasions. He was also fearless in the air. His skills were also very good. His reputation should remain in tact. and so should yours with comments like those.
  18. As long as workers go to the footy, and the wealthy avoid taxes it will always be so.
  19. The "Vacant BP" spot is not a reference to Prendegast I hope. Neville will be an "overnight" sensation. Not a BP quiet achiever . Evans is in the same boat .
  20. Can you link us in to this wonderful contraption please mate.
  21. I think we all know his strength is tackling and his weakness is disposal efficiency . lets give him a chance to show some improvement in 2013 . He is the type of hard worker that is likely to improve himself .
  22. Just heard a story from a guy that told me he was at a party in Sorrento and Caro was asked a footy question to which she replied "I am on holidays and i don't discuss football on my holidays". Real passion . Another rumour I have heard ,and i am not usually a dealer in nasty rumours but it is her stock in trade ,is that she became very exited about her time with a former golfer on tour here and told The Age office all about it .Different level of passion . She is clearly an Aussie woman! Only passionate when she feels like it and has a head-ache the rest of the time .
  23. Imogen no possessions? I wonder if you can.
  24. I want to see him lay players out. I like it when the opponents can't get up off the ground by themselves . I'm old fashioned like that. Fairness doesn't really interest me. Fair doesn't exist anymore. As long as he is around most weeks to do it-he's in.
  25. Broad can bowl a bit,Ishant will improve,Jimmy will be a freak.Duminy bowls quite a bit these days(when he can walk). Maybe your right on the lack of depth but it will be hard to get 600 every time against the batting line up .
