Leaders come out of their shell,take the game on and try to create something. He does this every week and rarely makes clangers. He IS one of our leaders ,even if it doesn't sit well with your superficial knowledge of football. I think when Dawes fluffed his easy shot on goal and missed the lot we saw what a leader isn't. He is actually the guy that directs the players during most stoppages. Listening to him " wired up" during a game I thought he did it well and without too much ego. Being the most experienced and arguably the best player on the team , I would have to say he is a leader. Your arguement might stem from him getting pantsed at a pool game after a cricket final in Adelaide . i judge him only on what he has done hear which is lead by word and deed in every possible way. Even Hodge gives away the odd 50 for stupid acts of aggression but He kind of makes up for it with the odd Norm Smith and premiership medal here and there.

We all like to win but I thought it was in the top 3 or 4 games we've played under Roos. The team is playing for him and lack execution . The endeavour is present most weeks. In any sane world we would have won it but the free kick count in the end decided it. we move on with some hope of claiming a big scalp still alive.

As a former defender I hated teams streaming through the middle with handball.when the confidence lifts it will be unstoppable.

Tyson was very good. Hunt ,ANB , Stretch were passes but not great.

They were both terrible today. Tom with his shytty kicks Oscar trying to outbody bigger opponents. That said, OMac will be better after a year in the gym. Tom has some great attributes but his mistakes literally cost games .They seem like avoidable mistakes but they keep recurring .I am a fan of Tom but why the short dangerous option? We played better football all day. The missed shots were the issue as the score shows. The umpiring in that last quarter needs a review by the AFL.
