Yeah, Todays game was pretty good except that we lost. Great to see Dunn, Davey and Yze play great games. Also great to see pickett and sylvia back. Sylvia and bate just need keep playing games and get use to the pace of afl footy. It sucks about the injury to whelan, but hopefully it brings a spot in for petterd or another younster. Hopefully ND gives some more youngsters a chance. I reckon we still need another young foward to assist Dunn and Miller, Miller only made an impact in the last quarter when the game was over, he tries hard, but needs to make his presence felt.

Rogue and Rhino do you honestly believe that Jamar will beat sandilands in the ruck. PJ gives it his all and that is the attitude this club should have, sadly only a few players have it. Jamar isn't an elite ruckman and his ground work is terrible.

If any of the ruckmen get dropped it should be jamar. Against sandilands it isn't going to be easy and the effort that PJ showed last week means he deserves his spot. Jamar isn't the best foward option and should be swapped with dunn.

I am betting that bell will get his shot in the midfield. From what i have heard, he has been wanting to play in the midfield, and he is a pretty determined hard nut with pace. From our recent recruiting, you should pick up that we are drafting players with versatilty. With bell running in the midfield, this will give us a look at how he plays in this position and how he could be used there in the future. We can always rotate other players through the midfield if he isn't good enough, so what have we got to lose. Also i reckon green as our main target up foward isn't enough, as you could see from last weeks game. We have to bring dunn, newton or garland in. My fingers crossed that newton gets a game.

I agree with you Jaded, you could tell we were gonna climb the ladder losing the game against adelaide 'controversially'. But this year we will be headed for the bottom 4 due to our poor form and injuries. There is no use just making the top 8. If we want to win the flag, we need to aim for top 4 and make it happen. ND will probably be gone after this season and we'll have a fresh new start.

For us to win, we need a big target up forward. To many times our players just bombed the ball in the fifty hoping that someone would mark it. Yes, green did a great job, but he plays a robbo role. We have 3 options with Dunn, Newton and Garland. I still think that Dunn isn't ready due to his injury, and that Newton should be given a go up at Full foward. But I highly doubt that one of these guys will get their chance with ND claiming he will try to choke up games. Bjgc I think we will be looking for a ruckman with our first pick considering the time they take to develop, than we'll be looking for at the midfield.

With the way we are playing, we are defineatly headed for the bottom 4. We don't play as a team, with geeling you could see how each of their players were helping each other out, while we looked like crap. If we are losing we may as well try some youngsters even if they aren't in the best of form, at least it'll be something us supporters can look foward to instead of us getting belted. ND is a goner and we better start looking for his replacement now.

we need to blood in the youngsters and let them have experience, at the rate we are going with form and injuries what is the worst that could happen. Pettard and CJ should come in, also bring newton or dunn in. From todays game our only lively forward was green.

Without any game time to prove himself he was going to be dropped. I think CJ has the ability to become a great player, but when watching the match last week against hawthorn i think he seemed kind of lost not knowing where to run. Hopefully he can press for selection again and be in the starting 22 asap with other younsters with the way things are looking at the moment.

I gotta say if we blood in a younster at full foward, i hope it's newton, so he gets a chance at afl level and can learn from his experience. I reckon davey will play because he still adds defensive pressure and i hope he can run into some form. I still think that C.johnson deserves another chance and Godfrey deserves his spot. Agreed Jaded, this is our main problem, if you look to all the games we have lost, this is the main reason we lost those games. Thank goodness that we have brock, he'll become one of the clubs greats and captain next year. Too many of our players have their heads down and don't stand up. We'll be having to looking for a premiership sadly when neita is gone and the bad culture that is hanging around the club is gone. Our main priority is to find a top class ruckman and fullback. This looks as if it is another wasted season and their is no point finishing 6th or 7th.

i hope he doesn't go number 1 cause he would be a great pick up for our club and we are not gonna finish in the bottom 4, it'll be the opposite

OUT: Whelan(injured), Mclean(injured), Bartram, Ward IN: Pickett, Bizzel, Rivers, Brown Out stupidity was our downfall, and we need to start tackling more ferociously again. Pickett and Rivers are obvious inclusions ward runs the ball, but is just to ineffective. With the biz back, he can provide creativity and set up play accounting for wards absence. Bartram as above needs a rest and needs to find more fitness, so doggy is the best option. Players like johnson and bell still deserve thier spots for thier hard work in the pre-season and yze will probably be playing next week. If Dunn wasn't injured he'd be replacing Miller, even though he tried when we lost he doesn't know how to make a presence in the game

dissapointed about the lost, but it is only round 1. what i thought we were missing,which we did last year was our hardness. the team didn't lay enough tackles, unlike the saints. hopefully we learn from our mistakes and play the right brand of footy. with the inclusion of pickett and hopefully rivers, we'll perform much better. i reckon we'll see yze retain his spot, played a good enough game to last him til next week.

I'm with you dazzle, the more game time newton gets, the better.

if johnson wants to retain his spot on the list, he has got to focus on his tap work only and shouldn't worry about his work around the ground. If he can't resolve his tap work, i reckon he will be delisted and we'll pick up a ruckman with our first pick. I still reckon our ruck division isn't good enough compared to the top teams.

great stuff dappa, glad to hear about newton, yze and bartram, but it sucks about what happen to dunn. Even though newton hasn't played any senior footy he is one of my favourite players and i hope dunn gets better soon. Does anyone know how bad the injury is? also its good to hear how yze went, but from your reports i'm still unsure about how he'll play this season. i reckon he'll be in the best 22 come round 1, but i hope he starts playing for the team instead of himself and can find the consistency and effort that made him such a good player .

Don't mind about the lost, but it's good to see the youngsters get a game and see the improvement of Jones and CJ. Also it's good to see McLean get back and i hope bate can find the consistency he needs. Can't wait for round 1 and how the best 22 will look. It looks as if Yze might not be in the best 22 - YZE STREAK UNDER THREAT: DANIHER And does anyone know what happen to Dunn today? I thought he was in the team and haven't heard anything about him.
