I don't understand "like for like," "clogger for clogger"- IMO it's either untouchable, only for a good offer, or clogger (and therefore not wanted by anyone). Agree with your untouchables, but add in Martin, Blease, Gawn, Gysberts and Jones to that list. You are seriously contemplating adding Martin and Gawn (our future ruck stocks) in our potential trade bait? You have to be kidding. Blease could potentially be a seriously damaging rebound defender who we lack- Gysberts is showing all signs he will be a damaging inside/outside mid and Jones is one of the real triers we have. I'd suggest if Martin and Gawn continue improvement this season; then we can look to trade Jamar out because he will be un needed and will still have value. Out of the rest Macdonald isn't un-tradeable but is worth more to us than any other team right now- he is a keep, Wonna deserves another chance as he could be the small forward we are screaming for and Warnock is the only one that really seems to hold some currency for another club looking for a shut down defender. -
He has been on the list for 4 years and in this time has never shown a desire for the contest. Cale is being shown up in the bravery stakes by 1st and 2nd year players constantly. I'm not as confident as some are that he can flourish under a new coach. He lacks an element of fight- that bit of mongrel that u need to succeed at the highest level. You can keep your elite endurance and supposed skill; if you don't possess the fight, it's all worth nought. At the very least I want to see Cale earn his call up to the 22 through showing some more balls- go for the footy son, hunt it! Don't keep waiting for your opponent to grab it then try to tackle him to gain possession. Your an embarrassment!

I accept that. I struggle to keep sweeping statements to myself and hence usually end up with my foot in my mouth, it seems this is the same for me on forums too. And for the record I was talking about other spuds as in Jesse White, Mckinley and a few other hacks I've seen mentioned in the past. Ahhh Kosi.. that was the one!

We were the worst placed Victorian team and extremely inconsistent. This is why we had no one in the top 50. Pretty simple, I would have thought. And what's with all the WYL bashing? I find him to be a pleasant poster.

You suggested Nason, right? Unfortunately I think any player that is going to be worth it is probably out of reach. I want us to go for a "blue chip" commodity.. a Goddard etc. Definitely no one who struggles to get a game on someone else's list, as they will bring nothing to us.

Lol at some of the spuds being suggested on this thread- who said Nason haha I almost choked on my chocolate milk! People we don't have to trade for trades sake. I want to trade for someone who will be worth it- and that doesn't include grandpa's who are over the hill and have only one good leg left (Lake). Discuss players who will make an impact and are available, or don't discuss any at all really.

Pendlebury would be the dream and we know he rates Meeks highly, so maybe if he has a bad year with bucks he may come over. If one is to dream it may as well be big!

Laughing at those who think we couldn't do with someone like J Mac in the side. Hard bodied defender that uses his muscle to good effect and with warnock wanting out and the rate that our backline go down he will definetlu be needed! With so many soft players at the MFC Joel Mac is precisely the type of guy we need around. Muppets!

Pretty much stating the obvious there Exorcist.. Some of our players will NEVER develop this mind set. And skill alone won't win you a flag. In final matches toughness rains supreme. And if you aren't tough you will be steam rolled over. That's why some of our players (Morton and a couple of others) will never be of any use to us.

Next year Kamahl? I didn't watch the pre game entertainment either as I was doing other things.. but it is always so embarrassing. It's like the Footy Show- according to them- Vannessa Amarossi, The living End or some has been rocker who is well past it are the only acts that are ever in town. What's wrong with spending a little more and putting on a proper show. Bruno Mars, Usher, Muse... all good suggestions.

Another reason to give away both compo picks- extra incentive to finish higher next year. I can't see why offering up both compo picks AND Warnock won't get this done. I'd rather give Warnock to those hacks then a team which he could strengthen and therefore used against us.
