  1. You've brightened up my day Tonatopia, thank you! Never thought I'd read "mummies [censored]" on Demonland LOL!!! And the rest of the post was a riot... please post here more
  2. Let's just see if this rumour is true.. It's unsubstantiated at this point right? Jeez we should have a book written about us "The Traitor and the Sook".... Woe are our prima dona players!
  3. This MMM rumour sounds a bit far fetched- I don't think Brad would be that enamored with the captaincy that it would dictate his willingness to sign on with us- because as captain he was a farce- and he would know that. Also how much of a sook does that make him sound? Talk about holding the club to ransom! I won't believe it. But if it's true.... hmmmmmm. I would say "we are trying to be progressive and you are living in the past man, there's the door!"
  4. LOL!!!! I'm in stitches!!! =P Thanks for the laugh... I'm seriously dying over here lol!!!!
  5. I was on the Fev band wagon for a little bit.. jumped off when he spewed in a bin.
  6. What's this "1 Neutral" thing on my profile? Just for the record I couldn't give a rats toss bag what people think about me.
  7. He was utterly terrible in his first AFL game but people seem to think there's somehting about the boy so I'm prepared to give him some more time. If he comes on, he could fill a need. If not- just another spud that gets chewed up and spit out by the system.
  8. No love for Jamar to FF then? That's cool, that's cool. Why are we going after more youngsters? It's someone who can crash packs now, or wait until one of our rookies are ready. And why do people think they can package rubbish footballers and picks around the 50 mark for anything? Would we trade anyone that could fill a need for a spud and a low pick? Hell no!
  9. Feel like we're playing duck, duck, spud here.. Jamar should spend more time at FF.. better option than these tards names being bandied about. Before you say "he is too valuable in the ruck"- I say Martin has improved enough to take the brunt of the ruck work, and we may have no other choice. I don't want us drafting a spud because we feel we have to fill a spot, I'd rather just re-jig a couple of things. Jamar is the pack busting forward we crave, and he's already in the team.
  10. "I have made the comment before that I reckon you leave a footy club if you are not happy at the club or you are not getting a game. For me money shouldn’t be a factor in that. And I am happy." Read more: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/dawes-commits-to-collingwood-20110926-1kt32.html#ixzz1Z2UFf44J A certain young disloyal, crafty mercenary who has dodgy knees and used to be on our list could learn a thing or two about that. He knows who he is!
  11. So it is common knowledge we are going to take him, he already has a contract with us, by all reports he is ready for AFL now.. why the hell do we have to wait for next season to be over before he gets a game? I mean he's on the payroll already.. what's with these stupid rules?
  12. Kosi? Were talking Justin Koshitski here, right? That is definitely in need of a good whole hearted LOL if ever there is one. LOL to the power of 100! Seriously, I'd rather stick big Jamar down there. Plays as the big FF, does forward line rucking- Martin does the rest. I understand he is an AA ruckman but we can't have our cake and eat it too. And another benefit is it wont cost us any picks. We already have Jamar. No Koshitski, please!
  13. Yeah but just about anyone who is good enough could have gone to someone else, at some time. Then we up our offer to retain them. It's called bargaining chips for a better contract. Doesn't necessarily take away from his loyalty, but at the same time can't be used as a precedent to prove it.
  14. KOTD? And I enjoyed your turn of phrase there. I think it worked!
  15. Do we have enough "cheese" to have both? Can we afford to be that bold? Incidentally that little girl died of clogged arteries at 14 years of age. I can't back that up.
  16. LOL I think your right.. It's a tricky one- If you don't give him 2, he walks (like Bruce) and at the same time if we give him 2 because of that threat well in a way he has held us to ransom. I also believe a player has every right to have his own best interests at heart, but a bit of give and take is needed- if you play well you get another year. Same outcome, we just give him a bit of incentive to earn that extra year. The player should back themselves and trust that they can live up to their potential. And has anyone ever actually said don't renew Green's contract? I thought the main issue was whether to offer him 1 or 2, not none.
  17. So it's fair to say the dream is an experienced mid, whilst the big bodied forward is still required, but not as important? Sounds like we are a fair chance to get Dawes if we offer him 2 mill over 4 years- it may be less than what Syd and GWS are offering but with us he doesn't have to move. I like that we have a good hand at this draft table. Thank you snotty nosed young man who will go unnamed!
  18. Well in all fairness Old dee one of those injuries was from smashing his face going back with the flight. A little harsh there lol
  19. That is soothing to know. And has put my mind at ease. That was going to be my next question- where do you think Viney would go in the draft.. Thank you for reading my post!
  20. I'm talking about anything in excess of 1 year at this stage, because putting aside last years aberration he is still needed given his experience- but what if next year he loses an extra yard of pace, or a bit of his leap- or worse, gets injured- and everything is exacerbated when you are older hence the 1 year contract for over 30's policy. It's just playing it safe for us, whilst still being fair and reasonable to the player. I don't see what Grimes has to do with this, but I agree- he may have leadership qualities but if you're never on the park it's useless.
  21. And yet he no on the Demonland banner..... Mods...
  22. It's bullshite that we can't play him next year! He's ready to go! Is there any footage of him from yesterday's game? What pick do we have to use on him, is it going to be our first rounder? How does this work? Other clubs know we want him and they will force us to use our first pick right? Is there some kind of loophole we can [censored]?
  23. If it were a choice, I'd get Buddy. But it aint, and we won't.
  24. I agree with many here, I don't think it's about not wanting him at the club It is as straight forward as that, and I think that is a fair statment. If nothing else it's a good way to keep a player honest. Worst case scenario is we don't have a guy who may be passed it taking experience away from a rookie. It's not about charity it's about being smart with your list management. Many of you want us to stop being "weak" yet you want us to throw out contracts based on time served and loyalty. Wake up!
  25. And Neeld coming fresh out of the reigning premiers midfield would see ours as weak and inept. We get SMASHED in clearances. I understand the need for a big bodied forward but if you can't get it to him it is utterly useless.. like having an excel with a spoiler!
