  1. Scoring 95 points with Hoges only kicking 1 (?) is very promising. Also I liked what I saw from Oliver and Kennedy shown some good things. Good day all round, a come from behind win away from home is great for the confidence!
  2. And some players want to be a part of the rise, see Nathan Jones- he was quite content with staying with a rabble and it wasn't about current success with him, it was about loyalty and being part of a solution. Like you alluded too, different players have different motivations, I think it's disrespectful assuming Hoges will leave because we aren't a top 4 side, or because the everyday retarded drunk down at the locallocal doesn't respect us. How about we worry about him resigning when we're in his last year of contract. That would be a good start. Stop being so paranoid. Put the beer down and step away from the curry
  3. Replacement player/top up player; Daniel Cross. Get it done MFC
  4. Ahh standard little stuie response. You got nothing so you focus on an autocorrect mistake. Once again, it's the principle that we chose to get involved with the rabble, where a wide berth would have probably been more appropriate. There is no panic here, just musings. You seem to enjoy taking the moral high ground in an attempt to stir the pot. You're not demonland's moral compass, snitch. What you are is a troll- an affective troll, I'll give you that.
  5. You just don't get it, do you, little stuie. It's the principal. It's the stupid decision to touch anything from that toxic club, not about which mediocre player may face bans or not, but the position we put ourselves in to be associated with that rabble.
  6. Alright with a new forum, and new season, it's time for a new banner. Let's do it right, and by right I mean let's do it with the players who actually deserve it. Jones, Viney, Hogan, T. McDonald, Jetta, Vince, Salem and one more out of Garland, Kent, Vanders and Jeffy. Jesse has spoken. Take it as gospel /
  7. It's like, just when you think we're on the right track we recruit a future head coach and a mediocre player from the one club out of the 18 others that all sensibility should have told you to steer well clea of! What a massive shot to the confidence of the faith in the new improved culture we were cultivating. It troubles me how a group of fanboys and fan girls on a supporters forum, who by the club's admissions shouldn't be listened to/taken seriously can see this, but those professionals paid handsomely my the club to make informed decisions can not. I hope Jake bloody Milkman and cowboy Goodwin are taken out for this and the club get a little lesson in risk management.
  8. Still hoping that darn cornetto is available at 7!
  9. What time exactly will we know by tomorrow?
  10. And we're not in the same position we have been in where we've had to throw first year players to the wolves- we can afford to sit a prospect at Casey for a whole year now to develop their game and body. We had a relatively great year last year with our boon recruit Pettracca sitting out the whole year (granted not by choice) but it just goes to prove all is not lost if a new recruit doesn't take the field at all in the first year of recruitment
  11. How would it set us back another 5 years? Seriously, give the team some credit, the drafting over the last couple of years has just about set us up for another 10.
  12. People talking about Parish's lack of size; you all saw Billy Stretch a few years ago and what he has/is becoming now.. You know they don't always stay that size forever right?
  13. It's still Parish for me. I don't see our need of an Oliver type as great with Viney, Brayshaw, And Vanders (all bullocking players with skill- Vanders taken in the rookie draft FFS), our need for a quick minded player who can lower the eyes instead of the long bomb is needed more right now. It doesn't make sense to upgrade 6 to 3 for a player in Oliver that wasn't on the radar. It does for Parish who by all accounts was a target for the druggies who had 4&5. Go Parish, find the "in and under" depth with a latter pick.
  14. Parish is the type we need, Oliver, whilst he looks good, is the type we already have (reminds me a little of Vanders and Viney) Parish makes sense. I'm thinking its Parish at 3 and the best tall forward left at 7, or the best tall available at 3 and the best of the smaller types at 7. Either combination fills two gaps on the list, and I'd be happy with either. It won't be two mids because it's been proven season after season that apart from drafting, it's harder to attract tall forwards (in trades) than it is mids, and Jesse still needs a mate. Pedersen/Dawes are stop gap types who won't be around for long and the time is now to get a fresh faced forward.
  15. Just let Jesse do the drafting for us if it keeps him happy, seriously he can even call out the names on draft night ,
  16. Question; when did we decide to go for pick 3? Did we actively decide to trade for pick 3 or did that idea come after GC showed interest in Howe? If it was after GC shown interest in Howe it could suggest pick 3 was not a target originally, but made sense seeing as the currency (with our pick 7) would be a logical trade. Obviously it didn't work out that way and GC still came to the party but the deal was done with other currency. Maybe gaining pick 3 wasn't on the agenda but was just a nice little benefit of Howe being a cheeky greedy man? Who knows, just a theory. Now that we have it we can take ANY player that we want and know wouldn't have lasted to our original first pick. FWIW I do hope it's Parish- he looks like that missing outside link our midfield needs. Of course it could be a tall who wouldn't have been available at our original pick and then the best option left for the midfield- either way it looks like we're set to get 2 players we desperately need to fill gaps and I'm excited about that.
  17. I rate Francis the best looking natural footballer, so I think we should take him. That would mean we'd probably be able to move Frost into the second ruck/forward role. We already played Frost forward for a bit and he was serviceable, and he doesn't have to be a world beater anyway because of Hogan. It would be dumb to take a player because they were a natural forward f they weren't as good a footballer as Francis. Stockpile the talent. I'm a YouTube recruiter, what would I know anyway
  18. Francis looks like the "sure fire" gun to me. I say we take him with 3- develop Frost as the second ruck/forward, then take the best available mid at 7. But I do like Parish as well, with that Cousins like breakaway movement from stoppages.
  19. None of this matters when World War III will hit sometime next year, nice knowing you all
  20. I don't like his filthy bloodline, you just know it's only a matter of time until Bucks ambushes him on an oversees holiday and convinces him to join Pappie's old club!
