Two things about commentary last night Dennis Cometti saying he felt SORRY for Essendon, because they are in this situation by circumstance and its tough playing every week. Sorry, but is he serious? They're not robots mate. Are you telling me you've never had an off day at work? Never, for example, woke up feeling sore, had a slight cold, had family troubles on your mind, worried about your job security or been angry at your colleagues or boss? It shows a complete lack of understanding of human nature to just expect footballers to be different to everybody else, and perform at 100% efficiency every time they play a game.

We did get pick 3 for him - I don't think anybody was underrating him, especially not me. If he'd landed at Hawthorn earlier, he would consistently be an AA full back and always looked like he would be. But even with the uncertainty around Brayshaw, we would do it again I reckon.

Everyone wanks over Hodge and Mitchell but they are two of the dirtiest players I've ever seen. It goes right back - these two, Campbell Brown, Dermott Brereton, Leigh Matthews. I've named five in three seconds off the top of my head (admittedly over a long period of time, but with more thought I'm sure more would come to mind). I don't think I could think of that many genuinely dirty Melbourne players if I tried. Except Grinter and Pickett.
