  1. Yes it’s like when people wanted us to take Sam Van Rooyen
  2. I know it’s not a deep draft, but there are some very ordinary players on that list
  3. As @adonski said and his points there is a lot to work with I have questions on both the West Perth boys ability to win the contested footy around the stoppages, but Farrow reads it well and can transition the ball with a penetrating kick from half back. He’s a good fit for a team looking towards playing an open game with speed on the ball and the ability to change lanes to force opponents to defend the entire oval
  4. I understand there’s a romanticism with Pickett, but I don’t see it, whilst it’s a high bar he’s nowhere near Kossie in terms of speed, lateral movement or clean hands. IMO he’s been overlooked previously for a reason. Dovaston, Tyler Williams and Leon Kickett all ahead of him as small forwards
  5. whoops my bad Damo, my response was to Oxdee, clicked the wrong post to reply to Apologies
  6. Do you actually understand the difference between Cal Twomeys power rankings and his phantom draft He will release his phantom draft next week probably on the eve of the draft, when he has greater intel, which is why it’s accurate as it’s well known the clubs in the top dozen have worked out fairly close to who is going to select who The fact Nairn has now been invited to attend night 1 I would suggest indicates something
  7. I actually wouldn’t have minded both Collingwood and GWS being our double up fixtures from the to 6 next season. I’m always one not to judge a fixture based on how a team performs the previous season, but I just believe those two will take a dip next season. I think the Suns will continue to rise and Freo are heading in the right direction (although there’s a bit of a caveat on Longmuir holding them back IMO).
  8. This, the draft this year doesn’t bat deep however IMO there’s still going to be over a dozen picked who play over 150 games.
  9. NGA like Wes Walley and Cohen Livingston, the WAFL clubs and zones are allocated to either Freo or West Coast, all 3 are indigenous boys. Walley is Subiaco and both Livingston and Evan’s are Perth, all of which fall under West Coast
  10. You said you were going with Clarrie, do us all a favour
  11. Who over the last decade have we taken early from South Australia and who went home early, nobody. Trengove 2009, Toumpas 2012 who we exhausted and moved on, Nibbler gave great service and went home for family reasons. Petty is still here
  12. Adelaide keen on Farrow
  13. I like him, had him under me at 15s development, has some real X factor, building a tank to play consistently through the middle will take some time. He is very coachable and a good kid
  14. Yes we gave the Crows a touch up Mother’s Day 2011 I think it was
  15. Have seen him shut down a few times, you will never stop him accumulating the footy he is smart, apply pressure and you will impact his effectiveness. Run hard on turnover and use his direct opponent to hurt him the other way. He will not chase and it’s what he needs to work on
  16. Swadling is an accumulator and great athlete. Question marks on 2 way run, winning the contested footy and dealing with close attention
  17. Kicking needs work, has a good tank and really pushes himself with gut run, there’s no serious x-factor with Fred, but he could also end up being a player who plays 150-200 games because he does the small things welll. He was absolutely flying early in the year but tailed off towards the end of the season, unsure whether he was carrying something
  18. He’s athletic and has a good tank which will see him have greater impact around the ground and also has the ability to follow up with second efforts sees a potential Luke Jackson down the track with better foot skills at this stage. Taking away the opposing ruckman just stepping across the line and outbodying him I will no longer be an issue it possibly was
  19. I think it was a possibility until the Ruck rules changed, can’t see they not taking CDT now with one of those picks
  20. Nothing to do with footy but background wise, His father is Officer in Charge of Scarborough Police Station in Perth
  21. Each to their own we”ll see
  22. On what I have seen plays the game well on his terms but ability to move inside at AFL level and win contested footy is questionable however rebound and penetration in kicking is very good
  23. Welcome Steelo, great to have you on board. Great citizen and leader from what I hear within the Saints. Set the tone
  24. Farewell Clayton, not the ending we’d hoped for but you left us with so many fond memories, I hope everything goes well on and off field You will always be a fan favourite and part of the club’s history #13 BANG! BANG! BANG!
