  1. This kid has plenty of tricks, speed and can do freakish things. Attitude and effort at times are the question marks. My youngest played against Wes all the way through community footy and I coached him at development level for 1 year. His dad (also Wes) was also a handy player
  2. I question his speed tbh, has most the other tools but no X factor or speed
  3. Would be a good outcome given a lot of what we require is in this draft
  4. So am I and I think from his post @dazzledavey36 is also happy IMO bringing some quality young mids in to go with our mature players and the mid age range Rivers, Mcvee types will be more beneficial long term
  5. That’s not totally true Dazzle, despite the rhetoric being put out by Houston we were very much the destination club for him. It’s nothing to do with the Petracca story it’s all to do with us letting Port know we weren’t interested in their asking price. We will be going to the draft this year unless some too good to be true left field offer comes in
  6. Cody Curtin is the one from WA recruiters will be watching 198, big tank and quick for his size. Strong and can take a contested mark. So much upside with him. Blake Kelly clean inside mid good hands and composure
  7. Just don’t think he’s big enough for AFL, 199cm, very good WAFL player but the step up is massive
  8. Davis really dominated in the second half after a quiet first half. Swans mids just couldn’t go with him, endurance beast just kept getting involved in transition chains and winning clearances. Had 11 possessions in the last quarter Boxshall was dominant up to 3 quarter time. Won the hard ball and clean disposal by hand in close and won plenty of clearances. Riddle broke even with smith in the hit outs but prominent around the ground with intercept marks and also won plenty of clearances. Ravenhill was probably the best big man on the ground playing the forward ruck role. Presented high up the ground as hit up option and delivery inside 50 by foot was good. Kicked 3 and created a few for teammates Will Hayes really good run off a wing. Clean groundball gets, great lateral movement and disposal was very good. Blake Kelly probably Swans best played on ball, super clean and quick hands and really composed in close
  9. Exactly my grandmother always told me not to argue with 1di0t$ as it’s a pointless exercise. Anyone who thinks the 2021 Premiership (or any Premiership)was a fluke or underrated is in my book an 1d10t
  10. Your that person who wants to be different for the sake of it aren’t you
  11. But it’s not having a dig, it’s a change in trend, the game continually evolves and at times reverts back to slower , chaos, handball high, all different trends
  12. I think you heard what you wanted to hear I listened to Mitchell with Kane and Kings this morning and didn’t take it that way at all. He was more referencing the way the Hawks finished this year didn’t guarantee natural progression. Saying teams who were up in 2023 didn’t necessarily continue that trend in 2024. Inline with trends referenced previous game styles and that is where we were used with other teams following suit. King a short time later went on to say teams would analyse Hawthorn, put work into them and also be bringing or emulating some of their game style in pre season
  13. I’ve got Smith at 1, followed by Draper and Langford. I do like you have Nathan Freeman concerns regarding Lalors hammies
  14. Not verbatim but pretty much it
  15. That is close to correct, just the opening sentence up to the comma is incorrect every other part is how it transpired.
  16. Hugh has more upside than Urquart IMO, but his kicking is very poor, for AFL level but improving. Absolute bull, with a huge tank and is fearless. Tackles with intensity and repeated efforts are exceptional. Well worth a late pick for any side
  17. Run and spread, where in the F50, someone needs learnings
  18. There’s also no way Gerreyn goes before Hamish Davis or Bo Allan. Hugh Boxshall coming into calculations after a big game in last week’s semi final of the WAFL Colts. Charlie Burke may have to take the long route similar to Priddis and Tim Kelly but the kid has great work rate and attitude. Tom Bell and Clancy Dennis 2 KPDs who will be looked at
  19. Stop talking nonsense he has underperformed in 1 season There is 1 premier every year Oh wait the generic Swyl reply “we didn’t win any finals” He had is in the top 4 from 21-23 with a flag, I know for reasons beyond your control you didn’t play but these things are bloody hard to win. All we ask as supporters (and it isn’t accepting mediocrity) is to have us regularly pushing top 4 with a chance of winning a flag. He has done that 3 out of 4 years
  20. If Demonlanders stop feeding the troll it stops. Astounds me every year they fall for this stuff. GNF must be due soon to post some inside knowledge
  21. Hamish Davis moving up the board, not mentioned in earlier phantom drafts, will continue to climb the way he’s going and will be top 20 by the end of September and likely to be first West Aussie drafted
  22. I don’t think so Cripps has not moved Danger would have got more money from Melbourne based club, but there was a desire to be close to Moggs Creek Hodge was like Lewis and Mitchell moved on to other clubs as the Hawks evolved
  23. But we’re not meeting their asking price
  24. And yet 3 to 4 years ago it was said Paddy Cripps best days were behind him from carrying to much of a load, yet he is probably going better now than he ever as. Danger managed perfectly during 22 and Hodge of 2012 to 2015 was far better then the Hodge of 2009 to 2011
