  1. The club is septic, some changes have occurred but a lot more required. I was involved there last season and have many Perth followers as mates and after being in the inner workings of the club was able to see a number of the issues. Very similar to us under Schwabby and the boys club. A lot of self preservation amongst the group behind many of the long term issues and until they move on it won’t change. I’m aware there’s conflict between Germo and the FM and that’s not surprising. Hopefully they get their house in order soon
  2. It’s a narrow view and may speak more of where and who you were socialising with. You’re talking 20 years ago, but even then clear didn’t venture to Freo, Cott or Scarborough on a Sunday.
  3. Who’s he playing for DD
  4. The umpires see him winning the footy and around the stoppages, where it ends up is probably the issue they don’t take into account
  5. Edwards is a Tim English clone, but more advanced (due to Colts and senior exposure) than English was when he was drafted
  6. Can not start against Carlton like we did yesterday they would have the game won by quarter time if we allow them to dominate the clearances. Work needs to go into our forwards set up and entries this week. Make Weitering accountable and have to play on an opponent. Also prevent Docherty, Newman and Kemp from running off their direct opponent to impact the contest. If Clarry is cherry ripe Trac plays predominantly forward. Hibbo comes in potentially Smith plays forward to make Weitering accountable and Melk gets a defensive job on Docherty/Saad
  7. 6.Trac 5. Gawn 4. Viney 3. Kozzie 2. Hunter 1. Nibbler
  8. Claremont threw Curtin forward in the 4th when the game was in the balance, I’m biased but he’s the one I’m taking if he’s there. It’s Pavlich I’m seeing 24 years later
  9. SVR was good today for Claremont colts, without impacting the scoreboard as he could have his workrate around the ground and contested marking was excellent Koen Sanchez for East Freo was good, clean at ground level, excellent decision making and inside 50 disposal/score involvements very good Dan Curtin was outstanding in his senior debut played down back, where he’s a natural and showed why he’s so sought after.
  10. Absolute freak athlete and a gun footballer. Was great to watch him at his best.
  11. Back your form, win the next four and hit September off the back of 8 in a row and let the boys freshen up in the pre finals bye. Manage their time on ground if anything
  12. It may have something to do with we just won a game with a fairly impressive performance and the team had a solid second half with a dominant final quarter but you choose as is regular with you, to focus on a negative
  13. Yep and @Clint Bizkit the prize comment “ANB finished the game as he started, with a turnover”. It’s akin to a player getting drafted and clubs and supporters saying how did we not draft him when we had the opportunity. Well your recruiter’s probably focused on what he couldn’t do as opposed to what he could do
  14. 6.Gawn 5.Viney 4. Trac 3.Trac 2. JVR 1. Melk/Langdon
  15. Good win, they came hard and like the crows did with us last week we just never let them get away when things weren’t going our way. We are an experienced side and stood up when we needed to. Some very important players hitting form at the right time. Clarry, Fritsch and Sparrow all to come in. Forward line mix today with Fritsch added is probably the one we go with
  16. Couple of the usual suspects no faith. Good win and some important players hitting form at the right time
  17. Remember the 98 game both had to win to make the 8, we were in good form and we’re just to good. We ended the round 4th on the ladder and steamrolled the eventual premiers Adelaide in the first final the following week
  18. I think we have a new troll
  19. 6.Viney 5.Brayshaw 4. Pickett 3. Gawn 2. Rivers 1.Chandler
  20. Claremont vs West Perth Colts yesterday Curtin - just an okay game, played mid rotating forward. Not as many possessions as usual but still showed plenty with his ball use and clearance work. Did get caught HTB on a few occasions trying to fend off. One of his strengths is absorbing heat and standing up in tackles to feed the outside runners. Did it on a few occasions yesterday Bailey Banfield - FS eligible to West Coast, BOG strong in the contest and drove away from the contests with explosive strength and went direct to beat West Perth pushing numbers to the contest Dehaviland - like Banfield really strong in the contest and worked really hard all day. Used the ball well at times but should have had more scoreboard impact SVR - A nearly game, flew at a few and just didn’t reel them in, kicked 1 but was involved in a few more with score assists. Jumped at times when he impacted his teammates when the better option is to stay down and block Odin Jones - ruck, really good with his tap work and kicked a couple when resting forward, but also impacted Curtin’s marking ability in transition by planting himself near enough to impact as 3rd man up Peter Young - 2025 draft really impressive with his leading patterns, workrate and attack on the contest. Played CHF and at only 15 going to be one to watch
  21. He looked a bit tired second half, think the big pre season the championships and the quick turnaround straight into club footy (game week) the day after caught up with him. All the state boys looked a little sore last weekend. Be interesting to see how they go this weekend. I’ll be watching Claremont vs West Perth so will see a few of this, next year’s and a couple of 2025 crop playing
  22. If I’m Sydney I’m keeping the draft pick and taking Ratagolia as a free agent.
  23. Yep, they want him, but also Reid, not sure how they can get both
  24. I would love to get him, he’s the best defender in the country, but is being played in other positions due to recruiters requests on seeing him utilised elsewhere. His size is a huge factor from midfield upside perspective and his reading of the ball in flight make him a potential midfield/forward match up nightmare moving forward. Hes a level headed kid, who has poise in traffic and is developing his contested game in the middle. Further to this he leaves no stone unturned in his preparation. Closest I can compare him to with his skill set, size and flexibility is Matthew Pavlich. West Coast are very keen on him though
  25. I understand their midfield gets beaten up around the clearances but I think Sydney need to draft a key tall defender or try and convert someone in similar fashion to what they did with Ted Richards. Talk about Tom Barrass, but he won’t come cheap
