PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024
Size is not an issue for Luka, he’s naturally big and aggressive. If he can build endurance for repeat efforts we have something

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024
Moving up in the draft to take Oliver Taking a small underrrated forward well before he was anticipated to be picked Kozzie Taking a punt on an athletic hybrid in Jackson Not offloading Goodwin after 2019/2020 Not panicking when 42 points down at Kardinya Park in Rd 22 2021 How utterly Melbourne people see what they want to see and we clearly know what you want but hey you played u19s and coached

2025 National Academy Squads
Yes younger brother, was basketball focused up till the 24 season and had a huge impact. Quicker and more athletic than Dan, not as composed but really difficult key forward to match up on and that really good closing speed as a key defender
-
2025 National Academy Squads
Going early but I expect Cody Curtin to be around the top 10 probably pushing top 5 by season’s end and heading into the draft
-
2025 National Academy Squads
Listened to the interview and thought the same, 6ft 7inch so taller then Jeff, good high jumper so if he has dads leap at that size a decent bit to work with

2025 National Academy Squads
On a serious note he has a lot of talent but needs to managed in the right way in terms of his defensive efforts inside F50

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 68
Yes I know Riddler quite well, actually spoke to him on Friday night, absolute ripper of a kid genuinely nice person who is very coachable and still learning the forward craft to be more of a fwd ruck then the other way around. Has very nice soft hands at the tap, good at ground level and with his second efforts. One thing I would love to see improve is a bit more hardness

2024 Phantom Drafts
Has played CHB in junior days

Assuming we keep 5 & 9, who are you picking?
5. LALOR/DRAPER/LANGFORD/SMITH 9. If one of the above is still available take him if not SMILIE/TRAVAGLIA/ALLAN/SHANAHAN 83. DENNIS

2024 Phantom Drafts
Davis going to GWS at 25, yet they haven’t even spoken to him
-
The Bo Allan Thread
Yes I believe he is, also hearing the same from others but if the club select him they are backing themselves to keep him

Gary Pert Quits as MFC CEO
Be the same people who put the 2021 flag down as a fluke or Yze’s coaching Nothing is ever isolated to 1 individual in success many factors over period of time inclusive of many bumps along the way
-
Gary Pert Quits as MFC CEO
I think it’s obvious we dropped minimum standards for a number of reasons inclusive of reaching the summit. The team 1st approach across the board as not been there like it was. The players should have enough desire after this season to raise the standards again as a group to reach their full potential. Slightest drop off at AFL level has big implications

Don Pyke.

Gary Pert Quits as MFC CEO
Pert and Roffey gone it is what it is allow the media to speculate and devour the carcass of what is currently an easy kill. They called for change at the MFC with the off field matters (well published) this year and last, yet when change occurs their manta and position is toward continued turmoil not change to move forward. It’s time for the playing group and football department to knuckle down, less media and less incidents to draw further attention. just focus on the infield side of things next season and let that do the talking. And Chris from Camberwell if you’re on here for god sake stop getting on radio claiming to speak for the majority of Melbourne supporters, you certainly don’t speak for me and quite frankly are embarrassing most times you go to air on Dwayne Russell’s show.

Jack Davey
Absolutely horrific and a parents nightmare. If the family are supportive of it, I think it would be a wonderful tribute to do something for the memory of a young Dee’s fan in Rd1

Time to go Goody?
I could see a world where we bounce back just with good pre seasons and a clear run at it for Oliver and Trac plus natural progression for Windsor. I don’t expect us to win the flag next year even with the above occurring. Our next serious tilt will come from Rivers, Mcvee, Windsor and JVR taking the next step along with Petty getting a good run with injuries and holding down at key role (preferred down back but possibly swinging forward). I still consider the coaching staff having the tough love conversation with Kossie regarding his brain fades needs to be had If they do that and it doesn’t all fall to Max, Trac, Oliver, May and Kossie having to carry all our hopes, we will fine and contending

Time to go Goody?
Why bother your dealing with someone unreasonable who talks of the last 3 years being a total failure because we didn’t win a flag or final- forget the fact there were certain circumstances and we put ourselves in the top 4 after home and away season Wanting Goody to debut Jefferson, even though he’s not ready Spargo being no good because he’s small- forget the fact he’s our best link player in transition and probably the best decision maker with ball in hand Doesn’t understand despite being underdone, when he plays Petty takes one of if not the best opposition defender away from a younger forward And time is quickly running out FFS, another who is incapable of seeing the change in the group happening before his eyes

2024 TELSTRA AFL DRAFT COMBINE
He’ll also be starting to talk to clubs and managers now, figuring out which clubs have shown interest in players whose interviewed who and then do the comparisons with the draft order
-
2024 TELSTRA AFL DRAFT COMBINE
@spirit of norm smith @Adam The God @dazzledavey36 Wouldnt think Boxshall will be there at pick 83 in the draft
- Welcome to Demonland: Pick 68
-
2024 TELSTRA AFL DRAFT COMBINE
He has huge upside, very good inside mid and elite endurance. Courage can not be questioned and played key position for most of his junior career at community and PSA level. Kicking is his weakness but certainly worth a look for any club with a late pick in the ND or even as a rookie. He’s an absolute beast was BOG in the WAFL colts GF right up until the last 15 minutes.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
It’s not just MFCSS, it’s a real possibility. However if the club believes he’s the one at that pick then they back themselves to create the environment and put things in place where he wants to stay. He played as an underager in 23 so has that connection with Kolt and Kentfield from state squad

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Yep Clang looks older than he is. Absolute ripper who likes to run hard from defence to create options.
