  1. Yes agree, however I see his progress w in terms of glimpses of his former self and especially buying into team structure as a big positive
  2. Agree totally media should be respecting his privacy
  3. He was however the Clarrie of old in that 3rd quarter against Richmond. He showed what an impact he can have when he is on
  4. Yes, come on a lot in the last 12 months after long period out of the game. Ruck craft is developing nicely has soft hands and starting to move a lot better around the ground as he grows into his body. Can also rest forward and impact the scoreboard. Currently around the 203cm height with some more growth to come I would suspect
  5. I think a lot of that would have been based on Petty out of the clash
  6. 2 ruckman coming out of WA in 2026 and 2027 drafts. Benji Van Rooyen (the younger brother) in 26 and Axel Walsh in 27. Cooper Ramsey late/rookie prospect this year. Basketball convert when he was 16
  7. 6.Gawn 5.Trac 4.Chandler 3.Viney 2.Melksham 1.Turner Also good games by the young boys, Langford, Windsor and Lindsay
  8. Good point he took backward steps in 2010 and had big question marks on him but really blossomed from late 2011 onwards despite being a Premiership player in 2009
  9. Hadn’t you heard from the wise on this site, we fluked that
  10. Has Howes been confirmed as coming in, if not JVR can play down back with Turner and Tmac for Waterman, Reid and Williams. Query on that though is does that impact our ball movement if we don’t go with Howes
  11. The Eagles don’t have Darcy as their first ruck let alone their second and as we know Fritsch only came in because Melk got injured against Freo. Based on as you’ll say the exposed form in the seniors vs Essendon, Fritsch’s form had improved whilst JVR was still underperforming and devoid of confidence Surely you understand the potential for Melk to play a defensive forward role on McGovern or Reid along with Sparrow. Which is probably why he came in JVR may still come in the way the weather forecast has changed for Saturday night and I’m still not convinced on Mays fitness
  12. Yet you actually criticised Goodwin for dropping Fritsch for the Fremantle game
  13. That’s the forecast although it’s changing, think they’ll see how the weather is and potentially make a late change
  14. He’ll play as a defensive forward on either McGovern to prevent intercepts or on Reid who has been playing off half back
  15. Stupid comment given his roles of the last two games against Serong and Tarranto. Also when taking into account as you’ll be aware (as I’m sure you’ve sat in numerous selection meetings) that Reid has been playing off half back and the FD discussion will be whether to play Viney on him or give that role to a forward and get Viney to run with Kelly
  16. Yet according to Caro, they met the week after the Essendon game which was their best performance for the year
  17. Hopefully opinion 9 day break and managed ANZAC Eve to this game and 7 day break to Hawks
  18. I hope the rain is gone and we get another opportunity to continue with the implementation of the game plan. I think if we continue with the quick ball movement and high pressure we will get the win, but they are a different side at home and we don’t want to give them a sniff because they are hungry for their first win under Mini. I won’t be going we have a late game Saturday so coaching duties for me, and with start times for both games meaning I won’t see any of it until watching the replay
  19. Agree with McRae, don’t over possess in the wet, move it forward and apply pressure to the opposition. Nothing worse when you’re defending then being under pressure in the wet and the Eagles are vulnerable to the ground ball game in their D50. Although the forecast is from 5 days out and Optus drains off very well
  20. Forecast for Saturday in Perth 90% chance of heavy showers, drops down to between 40-60% during the game with moderate South Westerly winds
  21. “Your attitude is noted you know, yes it is”
  22. They had to get rid of him and Hoges will tell you himself it wasn’t a good move coming home. A lot more maturity now
  23. No it’s not, he hasn’t brought intensity or 1%ers for the last 2 years. It’s harsh but a fact
  24. He was in hot form at the time, however he got a good look at it as they absolutely smashed us at the CBDs and stoppages
  25. 6.Gawn 5.Bowey 4.Oliver 3.Trac 2.Viney 1.Sparrow Well done Rivers and Langdon
