  1. Only changes for mine and they are pending medical/strength and conditioning staff are Brown -6 day break and how he pulls up Woey - do they want to get a full game into him if ticked off no change
  2. So drop a mid for a key tall, we would be far to top heavy with those changes
  3. Missed the game with commitments, although I was getting fed score updates after half time, so knew the score when watching the replay. Liked the quicker ball movement off defensive rebound and more corridor focus allowing for better F50 entries. Highlight of the entire game/after game for me was Oliver’s smile when running off to the ovation and how open and happy he seemed in the interview. Forget the result it was great to see him looking like he was enjoying his footy again and hopefully happy off field. 1 win, 1 loss and it will take a few more games for us and others to find real form and we realise where teams are at. Onto next week
  4. That would require positivity and not finding a reason in every post to have a shot at selection because in this posters mind Goody does selection alone
  5. As I thought you have NFI, just another shot at the coach Longmire got rid of his plodders? Name them ? The 3 missing through injury LOL Footy isn’t really something you understand
  6. Name them , who he got rid of since 2023
  7. Any midfield that has Bont in it is dangerous and Sanders is very good he will be one to watch
  8. And can you believe we lost to Sydney last week when they had their own 3 best midfielders out Adams 0 games for Sydney Mills who rarely played through the middle unless needed to run with someone played more off half back Parker was a very very good midfielder but Warner and Guiden have been there 2 best mids since early 22 But Kane Cornes was pushing the best mids out agenda and many bought it. If you watch footy and Sydney’s evolution you would realise how deep their midfield went They made the pies look second rate tonight
  9. Hope he goes well, was once one of ours and left on good terms. Therefore I only wish him goodwill. There are some classless posters on here and a few who are clearly trolling
  10. Yes and study
  11. Theo is actually from Perth and moved to Adelaide for work opportunities
  12. Exactly same media who reported Crows looking to lure Sparrow Less than 90 mins later - Sparrow extends contract at MFC
  13. Brisbane did it against us last season at the G and it was effective for most of the game. It was late in the 4th when they tried to ice the game and slowed their ball movement that we got back into the contest
  14. Good post from someone who gets it, not a great night and plenty of basic errors but some of the tripe on here is predictable but just so uneducated. Those who lauded us after beating Carlton are most of those who are the most vocal tonight and the ones who underestimated Sydney’s midfield which has had depth for years but never had a big physical presence in the ruck. Am I concerned yes a little but been around long enough to know it’s a long season
  15. Warner and Heeney/Papley will get runs through there to give them options
  16. I’m picturing Colm Meaney in the Snapper when I read the first word
  17. Not currently but will see how he goes once the season starts. WAFL pre season matches start this weekend so may get a look at him. Im not a believer in signing players to keep siblings. Back your culture (that dirty word)
  18. Sam Van Rooyen, Jacob’s younger brother
  19. He’s back at Claremont training with the Senior Squad BVR is contact training and should play Futures and Community footy this year. He’s 199cm now I heard yesterday
  20. Need to consider the flip side effect on being smashed at ground ball gets and fast transition on turnover due to going in to tall. For this reason long bombs won’t work as they’ll just flood numbers back and spread quickly on rebound. If we can get more separation and 1v1s in our F50 and move the ball similarly to the game last week vs Carlton, we should expose the lack of defensive height. A good mix inside our F50 of small and tall should still work both ways
  21. Bingo, but Deelanders fall for it every year and the media generally know it’s a nothing story, but hey columns need to be filled
  22. Agree totally with the poor me attitude
  23. Absolutely not in disarray, and as for people saying if Clarrie is physically fit he plays no ifs or but, that would be a massive mistake. The club knows what they are doing and if he’s ready they will play him. If they choose to give him another week or so it will be for the best. Swans midfield still has Guilden, Warner, Heeney, with Sheldrick who will step up this year and Jordan, Rowbottom to run through there. Papley may also get short stints through there. I don’t think our FD will be underestimating them
  24. You’re wasting your time trying to explain anything to this poster.
