Brothers and cousins and family members at large usually enhance team spirit and commoradery. I believe we made mistakes in the past by not picking alwyn davey, Dylan grimes and Lewis jetta. If in doubt, pick the brother over an "outsider". I'm all for picking zak if he has the potential to play afl. Blood lines and pedigree are real. It makes sense. The problem with our culture over the last 6 years is that we have gifted respect before it has been earned. Please let players earn their photo on the banner, it may take 5 years to fill, and is only removed once they retire. Long term strategic thinking.

Club champion is club champion, how else can I put it? It's great the way we treat our club champions, it really encourages loyalty from our players? Going one step further, I think every 10 year player of the MFC, should never be forced to retire or leave, they should bow out when they believe they are ready. If that results in a player playing in the twos as Casey at bottom wage, then so be it. Loyalty is a two way street.

Just out of interest sake, who qualifies for a photo on the banner, or do they have to earn it. For example, does watts qualify? Has dawes and clarke played enough games? Trengove has had A bad run, as has frawley. Howe? Garland should get a guernsey but then again, many were writing him off a couple of months ago. I am just suggesting that players earn their spot, for example, player of the month is "hogan", and up his photo goes. Or you could do it where a player has unanimous support on this site (almost) and a ceromy is kinda held for the new 'champion' on the banner. I just reckon a player per day is too quick and it loses a bit of importance. Also, the actual players might feel that it becomes like an honor board for them. Thoughts

If that is Lethal's fee, we will make it back in spades. We will also save money not having to renew the contract of half of the assistant coaches that surrounded Neeld. Realistically, if we got Lethal, our membership base would increase by 10,000, especially with all the hype that will surround the 'new look team' which will also include Hogan. The real question is, if both Matthews and Roos say yes, which one would we go for? Probably the one with more desire.

Well, Football is like civilized warfare. You have clubs (countries), presidents, Boards (political parties) members (citizens), soldiers (players), coaches (generals), support staff (workers) and the AFL (united nations). I know it is not life and death, but the priniciple applies. Football is a metaphor for life as a whole. you can learn a lot from footy, and people should learn not to bag out our loyal players.

being critical of players is like being critical of Soldiers that are fighting for your country. They are risking their bodies for you, so you must be contructive in the criticism. Over the last 2 years, especially on this site, I have witnessed many of you put your whole faith behind an unproven, arrogant, delusional, inflexible man from Collingwood, at the expense of club champions like Brent Moloney. I have heard many of you bag out Aaron Davey, Jurrah, Wona with little empathy for their history or cultural background. I have heard you pay out on lifelong players like Jamar, Dunn, McKenzie, Rivers, Garland, Frawley & Sylvia. I have heard you being extremely critical of kids like Watts, Toumpas and even Jones a couple of years back. I have heard you call our playing group pathetic, lazy, undisciplined, unmotivated, and a waste of space, yet, some of you laud players from other clubs like Byrnes, Rodan and Seller. If you call that supporting football, go support the filth.
