Too laconic for mine though deanox. The 'want' / work rate factor, even at this level, just isn't there this season. In very small patches...yes occasionaly. -

Sestan good mark but is he at the crossroads in the next few months? Just isn't getting alot right, other than the odd opportunist goal or goal assist and the work rate / skills / positioning and defence are pretty average. No speed across the ground either. Adams looking like he might be a bust? I just can't see any weapons or skills that would see him capable of stepping up to AFL level. He barely impacts at this level. -

Lol free to us for blatant holding but it ends up going the other way ...for?? -
Effort and pressure alot better. 2nd quarter super. Clearance work till three quarter time very good. Kozzy fantastic. Ditto Viney. Rivers & Clarry till three quarter time. Roo a very good first half. Defence reasonably good aside form May with a number of dumb arrzz plays throughout the night. And then there's coaching in the last quarter. Bloody abysmal. Simon just doesn't read the tea leaves Max off the ground far too long. Rest him on the bench sure, but how about resting him for a while forward too and try and snag a cheapy or two or just put Kozzy at his feet for the crumb and clear everyone else out when we're transitioning off HB? Rivers not on the ground early enough towards the end of the match and brought on far too late. Petty left on far too long in the second half. Should've been subbed at the time he did his ankle with a minute to go in the last. You could tell he was physically done. And no point rucking him. He's unable to get off the ground or compete at ground level effectively either once he's physically shot (eg, after half time). Better to not nominate a ruck and just get an extra medium or small around the stoppage. Like Brown! A number of players who are just not up to it when the whips are cracking and need a good spell at Casey for mine and/or trade at years end. Overall a decent effort but very poor coaching in the last, along with some dumb players / plays cost us the game in yet another "Shiiiite the bed" last quarter (off and on the field). Personally i'm not sure Goodwin is up to out coaching quality opposition on match days enough of the time to get this team winning the close ones, more often than not. Yes it's a game of inches but we are too often on the losing end in the close ones and being outsmarted in final quarters and or red time. He just makes far too many blunders by taking far too long to ring the changes off the bench. Or in some cases no changes, such as the choice to not sub Shacke in last year's super tight final and bringing Brown on far too late in the game tonight. He also places far too much faith in players on horror form runs like Petty, Fritta & Chin. Who eventually do / will show something (sometimes for the odd quarter or even two) but are also shown up at crucial times in matches like tonight's final quarter, where their form and/or fitness just isn't at the level and they're inclusion ends up costing us in the close ones.

ANB brain snap

Thank god. Petty out for Brown
-
And jumper held
-
Petty a massive liability in this second half aside from a few contested marks FCS sub him for Brown dog around the ball How does Lingers miss that FFS. Rubbish finish after all that hard work
-
Why would you not rest Max forward??
-
Petty's rarely going to kick a goal with that action. He's basically running on an arc but then taking his last step on the planting left foot way to his left which means he is almost always gonna shank the ball left. Needs to fix that on the track. Horrible
-
Yep you'd be better off not nominating and just have an extra medium or smaller speedy player like Brown dog around the stoppage than Petty going up.
-
Disco's best game in the red & blue so far. Taken two fabulous contested outlet marks on the wing so far pushing up high as a 3rd tall forward.
-
I'd sub Brown dog for Petty here
-
Clazz far too slow just boot it to the top of the square mate
-
Petty's been better tomight but he's not a natural forward. He's trying to body opponent far too often like he does in a defensive role but doesn't have the body strength to win enough or get the ball to ground. Pushed off the ball far too easily. Costly miss and 11 point turn around there.
-
They cant win on their own without some blatant cheating from here

Punchable Praha... punchable

Nah Hodge's understanding of the game and positioning / defending / forward play is second to none imho
-
Clarry running at 80% efficiency. Fingers crossed he can keep it going till deep in the 4th
