  1. Because they're all on the gravy train. It's up to Clarko, the NFC and the other clubs to do that (when on the receiving end) but none of them will stand up. You can apply the same to the MFC hierarchy who also went MIA on the entire Buzzy / Gus fiasco. They're all part of the circus act and getting paid very well to remain there. If you don't conply you'll end up an outcast and the $$ are so good not many have the courage to rock the boat. Some will but i would suggest not before they seek and get the nod of approval from their boss to go harder than usual on it for headline / click bait purposes. And the riskiest of all clubs to go after would be the filth as they most likely draw in the biggest $$ for the AFL ring masters. Don't rock the boat!
  2. Can i just get his gossip without the hair do?
  3. According to Tracc, no visitors allowed for a week or so, bar the other half with food & supplies, due to the spleen being associated with the immune system. Tracc interview / podcast here if it's not already been posted or mentioned in the other links above.... https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/jase-and-lauren/id1734322806?i=1000659202457
  4. Agree with the first part D rev Not sure that Petty would cover off the Lever role given his apparent lack of agility / fitness until now. Worth a try though. You'd have to bring BB or Fullo in to replace. No objections from me in trialling that either. Hope we don't have the same finish as we did in 2017 though. That loss to the filth still sticks in my gut as one of our worst losses under Goody. And we meet them again in the last round. Hopefully we've either secured a finals spot by then or alternatively nothing riding on it as we've already bombed.
  5. I think its mostly the two fold effect of an under done Clarry plus the loss of Gus thats killed things in general Dee. Then whatever happened to Vines post the Crows match is the icing on the cake. He was flying in those first five rounds. Lever against the Eagkes. Bit by bit the train started coming off the rails. And of course the nail in the coffin for 2024 was Tracc last week.
  6. According to Razor you can't step accross and take the path of an opposing ruck WW. His words not mine. He said it's considered a block and should be paid as such. As i said in my first post about it, for some reason Reg is being allowed to get away with it when others, such as Hawkins, are occasionally getting pinged. Even Hawkins gets away with it on occasions, other times no. Yet here we have a cronic abuser who is using it to ensure the oppo ruck can't get to the drop and getting away with it. Surely the oppo rucks, ruck coaches / head coach are noticing this by now? The AFL truly is a circus act at the end of the day though. The ring master always has his way. And as frustrating as the whole AFL charade is i need to remind myseld of that and just laugh out loud more often. Different interpretation of rules for selective clubs and their folk depending on the HQ agenda trending at the time.
  7. Add to that the match against Brissy where Max went down in the first few minutes. We got massacred after that with Reg nowhere to be seen. He has also taken to blocking his opponent's run at the ball this season yet never gets pinged. If he was trying that rubbish with us i reckon he would've had a record number of frees against. Amazing what happens when you play for an AFL protected species. 'Free Kick Daicos' another great example.
  8. Why are there two of these topics going?
  9. Can't argue with any of that. If only we'd picked up a decent mid instead.
  10. Turner is being played as a forward with little effect bar the one match Kent. Can't see him holding his spot this week surely!? On Tommo i'd have him in for most games ahead of Howes, unless match ups insist on a more agile player to cover a small forward maybe? Bottom line with Tommo is he never drops his work rate and effort. That's a rare asset and a great one to have in a team where so many have shaat the bed in the last month and failed to turn up. You could even play Tommo forward in place of Turner. How could he be any worse! Answer... he wouldn't! And probably at least gets the ball to ground more often and takes out a few of the oppo's backmen in the process. Same with Moniz for Bowey. At least trial it for a good block of games. What's to lose? Season's pretty much shot now and Moniz deserves a run with Bowey not having any real weapons or serious form since his return.
  11. If it was / is that dodgy he was probably a week to week proposition anyway. Then you have to ask, why did we play him vs Brissy when all the signs and the timing said don't. He even came off the track after the Cap run that week and looked very worried, chatting to trainers for at least 3 to 5 mins. Give him that week off, get the opp, then another 4 to 6 to fully heal. He's back for the Saints match (latest). Instead we gave him the bye to get over the opp and straight back into it again for Anzac eve. Has never looked fully right besides maybe one or two reasonable games since.
  12. According to Razor you can't move (take a step or more) into the path of a player to prevent them from getting to the ball. This includes... 👉🏼 Blocking in general field play off the ball. Example... Max a few weeks back, was blocked way behind play heading through the middle of the ground and received a free kick. 👉🏼 The above also applies to contests in the goal square where a forward tries to prevent a defender from touching a ball that's heading for a goal. He can hold his ground to protect the drop but is not allowed to step across into the path of an oncoming defender. 👉🏼 It also applies to ruck contests. A good example of a player who often contravenes this rule is Tomahawk. He doesn't get pinged every time but occasionaly he does by moving across, pushing back and blocking the oppo ruck as he runs towards the drop of the ball up. The Swans version of Reg is now doing the above on a regular basis at the bulk of the around ground stoppages and never gets pinged. Alot of the time he even takes his eyes off the ump and glances behind to make sure he steps across to take the line of the opposing ruck. For some reason Reg is exempt and gets a free pass every week! How is that?
  13. Bit harsh Chook. I for one don't think of you like that.
  14. I've watched every game at Casey. He's no softer than Lobb but keep hanging your hat on Lobb as the saviour. You're wrongly confusing my comment that we already have back ups in JVR & Fullo with saying Fullo is better than Lobb. Personally i don't think either of those two (JVR or Fullo) are the solution and you've obviously not read anything i've written on the topic. Otherwise you'd know that. As per previous posts, i don't think either of them are the solution but we certainly don't need a third non-solution in Lobb. But feel free to carry on with your 'we must get Lobb' as back up and a forward target campaign. Uhh ...you call him whatever you like. I'm sticking with Fullo... less typing involved! Not sure how you arrived at that as meaning that i'm suggesting he's a proven player or whatever. Strange comment.
  15. HQ obviously desperate to get the filth deep into finals.
  16. Well if you're using that assumption then Jeffo's also a bust lol
  17. Yes i get what your saying. Lobb is not a decent target up forward. Soft as butter. We have JVR and Fullo as back up & chop outs for Max. How did you determine Fullo's a bust? He hasn't played.
  18. Happy to disagree. Use the spot for a decent inside or outside mid if you can't find a quality forward. Ruck contributions and rucks in general are also highly over rated unless you land a generational player like Cox or Max. Don't get too caught up in the 'we need to desperately find a replacement for Max" mantra
  19. I can't see all or much of the above happening but that's just my take DZ. Oh one more change. Woe actually comes in for Sparrow IF he can string a few quality games together at Casey and Sparrow continues his poor form. I would then swap them over with Sparrow as the sub.
  20. They have to get Rivers into the middle. Maybe not full time but needs to play some serious minutes there if we're to have any chance of making the eight imv DZ. Turner and / or Marty can cover his role from the bench when he's playing through there. The answers probably don't presently lie at Casey but the following should also take place for mine from the North game as a trial run in that match and assess where we go from there... Fullarton replaces Petty. Tommo comes in for Howes. Moniz for Bowey. We need another run and gun defender off HB, especially if we're going to push Rivers into the middle as.per the above. Even if we don't, Bowey is too stop and prop and (partially) killing off any speed on the ball. Speed up the transition and get some line breaking run going which might help improve our forward entries & chances a tad. Kolt replaces Tracc. Probably too early but no choice but to try now. McAdam for Chandler. Probably a week too early but if he can't perform against North he probably won't later on against better teams and this could be the confidence game he needs to have! Ditto Fullarton. Chandler's form in the last seven weeks bar one game is not AFL worthy, big stint needed at Casey to work on many aspects of his game in the second half of season and go from there. Sestan for Laurie who has been unable to take the next step so far and unsure as to why he was selected in the first place. Woe as sub Tracc out is obviously a massive blow. However, this last part of the season imv is more about Goodwin's ability to see the light and realise that he needs to bring in some fresh players who have shown a bit at Casey and get some leg speed across HB (Moniz) and even in the middle (Kolt...not super quick but a step up on Vines & Clarry. Plus Rivers who does have the burst speed) where possible. He has trialled the likes of Pickett and ANB through the middle which is great but too much CBA time for Pickett is robbing us of his small forward abilities and the odd goal plus the preesure he brings i50. Tale away serious minutes from our number one pressure guy inside 50 and good luck with that! Bringing in Rivers for some serious mid minutes to counter some of Pickett's should help us correct this over balance and improve our forward set up somewhat. Hopefully Melk is back within three to four weeks, including a few at Casey, and that way we have back up for and pressure on McAdam or Chin.
  21. There's still a case for at least one mid field bull. Cripps - No Cripps no Blues success imho. Walsh is good on the outside but he feeds & relies off Cripps hard work in and under quite a bit. Viney - before being injured this year). With his decline (and or tagged out of influencing matches) goes our season. Clarry - before his fall from grace... as per Vines Danger - Cat's decline since his injury no coincidence Libba - not so much a bull but he does the same thing, first use extraction and he is the best in the comp at that this season. The best clearance average in the AFL, daylight the rest. No coincidence they are rising again post his return. Rowell Green Miller I get what you're saying and yes we are devoid of the more outside bias types you are referring to. Especially now that Tracc is done for the year, we simply have to get Rivers into the middle to play some serious minutes and see how he goes. If we don't i fear we are in for more horror in the back half. Also important we start blooding the likes of Kolt & Sestan in place of Billings & Laurie. Will they have some shockers as well? Absolutely. But their upside potential is a mile ahead of the former two if we persist with them and don't [censored] the bed and send them straight back to Casey after their first few weeks as we tend to do far too often with our rookies. Talk about a confidence killer.
  22. You must be watching different Casey & Seniors games to me DS Brown yes until last week. That's not.to say he is good to go for seniors either. We don't have all the intel the club has. Fullo was fine in both roles and certainly didn't play scared. Did he look to protect himself in some ruck contests where the bounce meant he had little chance of getting a tap to advantage and instead probably going to get crunched by a much bigger bodied oppo ruck? Of course. I'm not sure we could do worse than Petty & Disco unless you and i lined up as replacements.
  23. That's 100% on the money. A big campaign by the AFL HQ ring masters. And a complete capitulation / MIA by the Demon hierarchy. Where was the representation?
  24. Round 13, 2024 MCG - Magpies vs Demons Contrary to OhMyDees summary of Wheeloratings's player ratings... i had the bottom 10 rated players (excluding subs) as a 50/50 split between both teams. We also had 6 of the top 10 rated players Where we did get smashed was of course our usual achilles heel up forward Namely conversion - Pies 74% vs Demons a paltry 29%. And % of inside 50s that resulted in Goals - Pies 28% Demons 13% Just more accurate and efficient inside 50 Combined Ratings Player Rating Rank J Howe 4.950 1 Max Gawn 4.875 2 Josh Daicos 4.825 3 T Rivers 4.750 4 C Salem 4.475 5 B Maynard 4.025 6 C Oliver 3.875 7 K Pickett 3.800 8 P Lipinski 3.650 9 S May 3.625 10 A N-Bullen 3.300 11 T McDonald 3.200 12 J Noble 3.150 13 D Moore 3.050 14 S Sidebottom 3.050 14 C Dean 3.025 16 Ed Langdon 2.925 17 J V Rooyen 2.850 18 H Harrison 2.800 19 F Macrae 2.750 20 D Cameron 2.625 21 Jack Crisp 2.600 22 Nick Daicos < 68% 2.550 23 N Kreuger 2.500 24 J McVee 2.325 25 J Bowey 2.225 26 C Petracca < 40% 2.175 27 W H-Elliott 2.150 28 L Sullivan 2.075 29 C Windsor 2.025 30 B Fritsch 2.025 30 B McCreery 1.875 32 H Petty 1.875 32 T Sparrow 1.850 34 Bobby Hill 1.800 35 L Schultz 1.800 35 I Quaynor 1.725 37 Jack Viney 1.625 38 B Howes 1.625 38 K Chandler 1.600 40 B Frampton 1.500 41 O Markov 1.225 42 B Laurie 0.90 43 D Turner 0.50 44 J Billings > 45% 0.43 45 Jack Bytel > 15% 0.05 46 The Pies just pipped us with their team rating by a meager 2%.
