Shocking and it all started with the Kozzy nonsense

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
Why is AJ spoiling from behind in a forward marking contest with Petty going up in front?

Ghostwriter can you get to Choco pls and ask him to get Kozzy to fix his goal kicking method pls. Clearly no one in the FD is doing much about it. His desire to rush that shot effectively cost us 12 points there and now we've lost the momentum and gotten their tails up. That aspect of his game is just too amateur for this level and is costing his team badly

I'm enjoying the Camera work which at least is authentic 'Shaky Cam' vs the fake post production shaky cam (cinema verite) we often see.

Razor has clearly explained this on numerous occasions. Basically if you kick it up the line (regardless of the type of kick and where it's being kicked from / to) and it bounces roughly parallel with the line (doesn't have to be perfectly straight ie; it can move around left right or whatever...it's a general rule not judged on a ruler's edge as such) then it's not deliberate. So if you kick it from near the line and it runs / bounces a few times and happens to roll over the line, it's not deliberate. You have to be kicking it in board (starting well away from the line eg; 20 - 30 meters or more inside) and angling it towards the boundary line for it to be any chance of deliberate. It's the angle you kick it on that matters. However, there's also the situation where players may intend to kick up the line or even in board but are swung around or impacted in the tackle off balance and it just happens to to go out. The umps need to use their common sense and understanding of the nuances of the game in these situations. Trouble is their understanding is often hit and miss or poor here as well! Unfortunately umps adjudicate it very diff between themselves and depending on which team's doing the kicking. There's also the situation that the ball can start off bounces parallel to the line but then the line curves inwards because it's an oval and the ball can't help but go out. That shouldn't be deliberate either. me posting to the wrong thread mono

TRAINING: Friday 30th May 2025
Why are we seemingly pushing Kozzy through into this week if he's in pain? Surely it would be best to manage him this week and get him cherry ripe for KB? Not only that, it usually doesn't pay off playing injured players assuming he IS carrying something this week.

NON-MFC: Round 12
That's the first 'not standing' penalty against the filth tonight on about their third or fourth breach. I have to laugh cause when Scott complained about how often they were doing it many weeks ago, the team they played the week after (was it Norf?), copped about six 50 meter penalties. Meanwhile the team that caused the origin of the complaint to the AFL (ie the Filth) are, for the most part, allowed to continue on their merry way.

Yet again the filth's play being governed completely diff to the opponent. The Filth- Kick off the ground on right angles to the boundary, no one near it. Throw in. The Hawks - kick of the ground in congested loose ball contest goes forward 25 meters perpendicular to the boundary line, bounces about 4 or 5 times before finally rolling over the line .... deliberate.

NON-MFC: Round 12
Gunstan still has all the tricks and cunning ways that see him often make something out of nothing. Still a very handy forward. The Hawks lack a genuine tall lead up key forward though.

NON-MFC: Round 12
You have to hard tag Sidey & Nick to have any chance of winning surely!?? I know Nick is a difficult option to do that but at least cover off old man Sidey

Yeh you can hear the sound dropping in and out every time as well. They're struggling to get the balance right between the volume of the studio commentary & the live sound from the ground. I assume the latter being supplied to them via Channel 7 feed? Amateurish stuff 👎🏻

Vines would seem to be a straight swap for Spargs. No appearance today is a worry though. Having said that, he still might be a good chance. I don't think Vines needs a match sim hit out in order to know what's required. The other side is, the FD might be putting him in cotton wool and looking towards Monday week's block buster.

He will not be a second ruck for long Adam Thing is, are some suggesting we get him in as (almost) a like for like replacement for Max (in terms of impact / dominating the match)? I doubt there is anyone that can do that at present including LJ. On his best days yes, he is probably very influential and effective. But for mine he still does a bit too much picking and choosing when he brings that. If it's not so much about LJ then, do we just get the best available ruck around and spend the rest of our tickets on getting a brute KF that can add a few extra goals to the score alot of the time and help lock the ball i50 more often?
