The Pies approx two seasons of experience ahead of ours on the day. Their Team Rating a long way ahead of ours with the Pies having 7 of the top 10 rated players. Turnover Kings... Sparrow Langford, Rivers, Allan Quaynor, Sidebottom, Big Max Stopped Nick but Josh got off the leash. Our highest rated player was Clazz... THIS Club is way too subservient and meek. Easy push over which starts at the top. It's no wonder we get rolled in the big games by officials on and off the field. Club just doesn't stand up and fly the flag.

He eventually wakes up but usually once the game looks to be gone. Not proactive enough and far too often fails to see the holes / gaps / potential moves that could win you the game early enough

Turner up forward for Petty pls Simon.... for the 100th time You won't win too often with that set up. You might have a chance with the alternative.

This is true but a decent Tall forward (or more) should be able to win the odd 50 / 50 in contested marking when the ball's coming in like that. Instead all we have is Max on the odd occasion he's pushing forward. But he can't kick goals either.

There's a few others here that think the same also Mr Fence! Easily pleased. I feel sorry for the rest of the team up the field as we have nothing dangerous on offer (Tall forward wise) up forward

He sums up the MFC to a T. Gets to the right places and gets on the end of a few but presents Zero threat with ball in hand. Offers so much but far too often disappoints with disposal and decision making.

Regardless of what people say, Clarry's still our best INSIDE mid (when his mind's switched on) in terms of clearance, distribution and chaining out from congestion. Not hitting the heady heights of 2017 - 2023 very often now but still our best mid. We're missing the extra rotation / hardness that Viney brings at the contest also. Not his delivery i50 though 😅

He's not allowed to play foward Mr Fence because Petty's doing such a great job and Disco's so valuable propping up our flakey D

Can't take a contested mark i50 or kick a goal to save themselves. Only chance you've got is get Petty & Fritsch outta there and leave Kozzy, Turner and Melk down there. Run the ball in, change angles and don't bomb ...and / or mids kick the goals themselves

He doesn't kick goals Dub, doesn't take contesteds very often and can't run out a game beyond about three quarters

Never in doubt Goffy. Remember that whenever you play the Filth you are up against a very biased League here. They WANT the filth to win as often as possible and gear the whole competition / fixture to ensure that happens more often than not.

As i've been saying for years.... the game is governed very diff when you play the Filth

There's no point bombing the ball out of your D vs the Pies as often as we do. You're just playing into their press and great set up behind the ball. Gotta be willing to chain, run and overlap into transition more often or the game's as good as done.
