I seriously miss Hogan. You can't teach his contested marking craft and body work. Most forwards just don't have it in their kit bag and rely mostly on burst speed, leading patterns, some agility, timing and blocks from others. The stand and deliver that he brings is invaluable. Tex & Hawkins the other two stand outs in this aspect atm when fit and on the park.

Look i'm still working through what that looks like. I'm gonna do a power of work and lean in to this though. I'll hold discussions with the war office and consider the direction i'll take that is ultimately best for the team before responding further. HB & run from the peptides in that second was mostly of a very high standard. The filth had no answers and aside from a few dumb kicks they had their measure. A long way to go and plenty of work to do on his kicking and frame but Caddy is looking a likely type even at this early stage.

Demons 13 vs Lions 7 We are effectively already into the early stages of a mini rebuild and probably another two pre-seasons before bringing in the right talent, building up a few of the existing ones (Windsor, Jeffo, possibly Kentfield, Brown dog & Sesto) that will see some sort of turnaround. A recovery of sorts possibly well into 2026 and beyond it seems.

Absolutely. He's a mile ahead of Petty in the lead up, kicking & finishing stakes in a forward craft sense and sure, he may not last more than one match for now but we aren't in contention and Petty has proven to be a massive fail as a forward. Petty will need a drastic adjustment to his set shot kicking action if he's to ever become a dangerous forward. Atrocious. And that won't happen overnight anyways. Will need weeks of correcting on the track with the right guidance from a pro. No harm in giving Jeffo a look / see against one of the worst teams in the comp. Let's see where hiss development's at and give him a chance to show his wares. He gets to see the next level and the intensity / work rate required to perform there. Goes back and works his bum off again. Another pre-season in the gym and away we go in 2025.
