Casey Scorpions v Collingwood and Debt Demolition Day
angrydee replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Get your facts right. -
If you can't be bothered reading all of it, don't comment.Peter Ryan is the afl.com rep embedded with the club - he's the Peter MN refers to in most of his pressers. He knows what he writes about. But you who obviously knows more than anyone else would be FAR better informed. FMD

Until Davey kicked it down a hawk throat and he's the besr kick in the team.

It was one of the best 95 point losses I've ever seen as well. Mind you, I've played and watched footy for around 60 years and have probably only seen,at most, maybe 3 or 4. 94, 96 maybe the same So it was definitely in the 3-4 best 95 point losses I've seen. None were good though

Ah binman, I too hop off the reality bus at the end of every season and start to suckle at the breast of fantasy that is known as the preseason. It doesn't take long to hop back on. Unfortunately the bus hasn't been going snywhere for some time. The depot's being repainted and refurbished. Perhaps that will attract an experienced driver instead of the P platers that are normally hired

Hawks beat them by 85 pts in Tassie

If rumours are to be believed, we may have to learn to play without him there. This is an opportunity for someone to put their hsnd up and demonstrate that they're the man for the job. Oh well - one can dream
-
The rumours doing the rounds for the last month have been consistent - that the inept one will be sacked after the QB game. It can still happen.

And he hasn't played a 100 games yet and has just turned 25. Yet to hit his peak.

Well WYL, I do watch every game and still rate Neeld below Denis Jones. The players do the basics badly - poor development and coaching. The players seem scared to take responsibilty - fearful of making errors which, of course, leads to errors - poor coaching The players kick to positions rather than to where players are spreading - poor coaching The players guard positions rather than opposition players - poor coaching When momentum is with the opposition, the coach moves too many behind the ball - poor coaching The coach seems slow to sense momentum shifts. Neeld seems like a good bloke with a fair long term strategy. He doesn't have the experience or knowhow to implement it. IMO, if he is kept on til the end of the year, the players will be very used to playing to almost empty houses and we will lose another million bucks. If he's kept on, I hope I'm wrong. When we do win the odd quarter, it seems to be because the opposition cruises (or in GWS's case - tires). When the coach gives them a spray (v Freo and particularly today), we are then blown away again.

Take your hand of it

Did anyone watch MM's presser yesterday about how he changed his gameplan from what he told the players when he first arrived. An experienced premiership coach knows when and how to bend. "It's about how to best use your list and to make footy enjoyable for them to play"
-
You can watch it grow at the G during the gsme

Happy birthday to both of you youngsters. 50 - still just juniors

Putting too many players behind the ball plays into the hands of the good sides - particularly good kicking sides like the hawks. It also destroys the structures that they are trying to implement. It's just defeatist. Too many times the players kick to a position rather than to where their tea mates are actually running. Too often they are scared to take responsibility and just give the ball off to get rid of it. These are fundamentals that a coach is responsible for-to make the players less fearful of making errors.

Would the mods please do something about unleash hell and his personal insulting and abusive posts. He claims others aren't making arguments. His answer to anyone who disagrees with him is to abuse them.

Agreed, redleg. Fitzy kept presenting, chasing and never gave up. He's operating at vfl speed and must be guven 3-4 games in a row to see if he can make it. Gawn and Fitzy are our future ruck combo. Grimley has had 3 years at Box Hill and Fitzy has more upside given his illness/injury riddled career thus far. Just needs some continuity and luck in the future.

"I think we're are a real chance at making the finals in the next year or two" said he during the week

According to reports he will re-sign within two weeks

Amazing - when the bullies were being compared to us, their coaches said bring on the heat, we're here to win all our games. Our coach just wants effort and keeps lowering expectations until we eventually might meet them. So the bullies win two in a row and we will be satisfied with a ten goal loss Go figure
