  1. Agreed. Watts didn't have what it takes to be a true professional. He had all the talent, but I think his heart was never 100% in it. Not too dissimilar to Hogan. Stretch lasted on our list 2 years longer than he should have because he had all the desire and was a total professional, but he didn't have the talent to make it. Sometimes talent and desire don't meet up and that is ok. Not everyone is Clayton Oliver.
  2. So it basically sounds like, thanks for paying a million dollar for priority 1 for the last 90 years while we sucked. You WILL get a ticket if you register, but that ticket could be standing room only in left toilet cubical. May the odds be with you.
  3. I think the only likely change is Bedford for Spargo, if Spargo doesn't get the all clear. I understand he can play without a voice, but a specialist may deem it too dangerous if he cops another blow to the throat. Could cause serious long term damage to his vocal chords, which is obviously not something they will risk.
  4. We are clearly dragging some carcases to the line, so it makes sense that Tmac is not playing. How many half fit players can you play together before it all blows up in your face?
  5. So Goodwin has decided that to take the best ruckman in the league away from the ruck and play him in the forward pocket was not a sensational idea? If only he read Demonland. Yep, the time to debut JVR was 6 weeks ago. It's too late now. You cannot bring in a child to play a key role against men who have 200+ games of experience behind them. The best thing about Melksham is that he knows how to drag the interceptor away from the contest. JVR would have no idea how to do that yet, and he isn't proven enough to demand a key defender on him. It is a super duper risky move, that could actually set him back. However, it's balls to walls time and we have everything to lose. So if they do bite the bullet I will support it.
  6. I agree. We waited years not to be rubbish. We missed out last year on watching our team win a flag. Why the feck would you not go this week? The only barrier I can see is money. Tickets are not cheap and maybe people want to save their money for the prelim in case we make it. But otherwise, I cannot see why you would choose to stay home.
  7. A very simple and quick way to end the Zorko debacle is Viney to lay a bone crunching tackle on him at the first bounce, Dees win the clearance, bang goal. That will shut them up REAL quick. I have a lot of time for Fagan. I think he is a really nice man and I think the players love him for good reasons. But their team has become a bunch of faux tough guy fools who call themselves Barometers and sport rats tails like it's 1987. Maybe if more of them concentrated on footy like Lachie Neale, they would actually reach their potential. Their list is stacked with talent, but not with leadership.
  8. Low chance of rain at best. Unless you are made of sugar, I believe you (not you specifically, but everyone), can withstand such horrific rainfall.
  9. If you took a piece of bread, lathered it with butter, and covered it in melted cheese, it would be an equally physically menacing ALF player. Not everyone has what it takes to be an AFL footballer and that is ok.
  10. Maybe Clarry and May can play a double header. Can't see Casey losing then 🤣
  11. I would be shocked if we get more than 60k to this game. Weather looks bad. Brisbane fans won't travel in numbers. Melbourne fans have maybe partially given up. 60k would be a good outcome. We will get 90k if we make the prelim against Geelong.
  12. So will they buy a new camera or two, or will I still be forced to pay $15 a month to watch everything freeze every 3 seconds on Kayo while some drunk is recording the game on his Nokia 3310?
  13. It is a big risk to play him in a do or die final, when he was in average at best form prior to injury, is already slower than the Titanic and is coming off a very very serious injury. I think playing JVR would be less risky, and we know the coaching department won't pull that trigger.
  14. Everything went right last year. History is not repeating itself, and sadly neither are the results it seems. We are hobbling to the finish line.
  15. I am not saying it can’t be done. But it’s difficult. Besides we have Trac Fritta and Spargo under injury cloud. Winning this will be a miracle.
  16. Beating a side 3 times in the same season is a hard ask. I also worry that our players will go in with the mindset that we've had easy kills against them twice and it will just happen again. The only thing working in our favour is their deplorable MCG record.... which sadly is almost as poor as ours has been recently.
  17. Score review to see if the severed limb touched the post.
  18. My stupid niece is having a birthday party during this game. What a selfish 4 year old!
  19. I love M50 it’s where we seat every week. It’s right next to MCC and the Melbourne bench so you see a lot going on. Sometimes the sms is very slow to arrive. You should be able to login to your ticketek account on your phone and download from there.
  20. Also I roped my husband to attend and he has only ever seen us lose live once. You're welcome everyone!
  21. No $93 for premium level 1 tickets in M50 $193 doesn't sound right. I paid $472 for 5 adults.
  22. OK so I finally got in. On the browser not the phone this time and got the same seats as last week. If you select Premium Member Allocation you can choose the bays. I chose M50 as this is our regular bay and it gave me 5 seats together which is a miracle I will take.
  23. Been in the queue for 15 minutes. I HATE [censored] Ticketek!
