I've been a detractor but totally agree with this. He's unfortunately a pinch-role player. Week-in, week-out he isn't the greatest because of many of the reasons noted - his disposal and his natural game being a man-on-man one rather than a floating one. However, as a one-on-one full back against the gorillas (Hall, Fevola, Brown, Tippett, Lynch et al) he is absolutely amazing. That's his role, and why we didn't play him against West Coast and park him on Lynch is beyond me. I'm a little disappointed, but not overly so, since I think he has good trade value - particularly to GWS (another first round pick, albeit a later one?)

It's more the exact working - you can have two clubs have vastly different values for a player. I don't know whether it averages out over 'round' or whether it is done off exact pick number.

I believe how it works: - Club nominates player as F/S - Clubs much then nominate what pick they would use on him if he were to be available - Club must then use their next available pick on him Not exactly sure how it works if there are two F/S picks in the one year, though - although Billy Stretch is the year after isn't he?
