  1. Exactly P_Man, although I would remove the mention of their depleted side, seeing that ours is even more so. It has annoyed me that the media use that as an excuse for the Bummers. I hope you're right, but nothing I've seen so far this year has given me ANY cofidence towards having consistency. This week as much as Adelaide, the players were reacting to criticism. I won't have any confidence at all until they perform well without needing to be prodded by criticism, and so far this year they haven't done that. I'm not trying to take away from a great, positive win, just trying to keep my hopes and dreams in perspective so I'm not disappointed as much as I have been so far this year.
  2. Thinly veiled dig eh! I like it, he sure proved last night why he would be sorely missed.
  3. Fantasic insight, thanks alot.
  4. I like him, and would love to see him back in form, but I can't see why we would make any changes for the Collingw@@d game, other than for Sylvia if he can't get right, but considering it was just a corky I would imagine he would be fine.
  5. Yeah, just water. God I hope he brings that DB to the games each week from now on, much more endearing to supporters.
  6. Didn't show as much as Howe, but very solid debut, and I really enjoyed it. Even despite the missed goal.
  7. Howe good is Howe. Sorry, I just couldn't help myself, I'm giddy with glee
  8. You may be right, but I don't know whether that would work. As to whether we extend him, well one win does not make the decision. It took alot of bad performances for me to decide I didn't want him any longer, and whilst this week has helped his cause, it won't in the longrun if it is a one off.
  9. I have loved him for years, and am so happy to see his efforts at training really starting to pay off, been a revelation so far this year
  10. Thanks eth83, it has really got me even more excited to make the trip from Sydney to the G for QB Monday week. I can't wait
  11. Exactly Nasher. Also helps that I've a number of mates who support the Bummers
  12. Thanks DL, now I just hope we can play like that next week when I make it to Melbourne for my only game of the year. GO DEES
  13. Thought you were on crack earlier in the week Choko. Credit where it is due, you were on the money. And christ I'm glad you were
  14. New guys were absolutely stellar. Evans, Nicholson, Gawn, Strauss and Howe all fantastic. But equally as important, Green, Morton, Jones, Martin and Rivers all shone. What a wonderful night.
  15. 6 - Rivers 5 - Green 4 - Jones 3 - McKenzie 2 - Bennell 1 - Martin
  16. Enjoy that mate. It's my birthday and the best prez I could've asked for. Such a great win, and soooooo stoked with how great the new players were. Nicholson, Howe, Evansand Gawn, really good.
  17. You're right. I've never seen that before, because for some reason Bailey has tried to hide it. It is really good to see, and great to see him reacting with passion to what was a great win.
  18. Ooooooh yeeeeah baby..... best birthday pessie I could have asked for
  19. You are right, but the whole point of the thread, if you read it, is that regardless of the result the boys deserve some cred for the way they have gone about it.
  20. Demon Premonition, I wish you and your wife all the luck in the world mate. Nobody deserves this scourge that is cancer, and I pray it all works out for you.
  21. Haha, thanks mate. I won platinum dining passes with the NSW Demons player sponsorship, and had a choice of this week, or next. Almost wishing I had gone for this week now, would have been great. Although with the way our new kids have stood up, we might have a good dip next week.
  22. You're preaching to the long converted here hardtack. I am just SO happy to finally see them playing like this. And on my birthday to boot, makes it all the sweeter!
