  1. Shouldn't the OP now be changed to Stringer vs Wines? We can add Toumpas back in at a later date if he decides to compete.
  2. Plowman actually sounds like a similar player to the young Rivers. Apart from the foot skills.
  3. Has been mentioned and I was keen on him earlier on. Arguably the best kick in the league. But someone made a very good point that he is probably the kind of player who looks much better in a very good side. Thinking about that, I don't think he'd be a good fit for us at the moment.
  4. We're obviously negative, but this whole thing just shows how damn sensitive we are too. Both signs of depression, so perhaps our supporter base as a whole is suffering from the black dog. He pointed out a fact, which was substantiated by many members on this forum telling the rest of us that they've sent Paul emails full of tears and disappointment. This is exactly what he was talking about. He'll continue to coach us and we'll continue to improve, and in the meantime I hope he changes his email address so he doesn't have to deal with the fruit cakes of Demonland constantly harassing him.
  5. I have to agree. In the past, there were a number of players I was attached to and hoped we wouldn't trade. Now there are only two or three that I'd be disappointed about losing. Anyone else can go, for the right deal and for the better of the side as a whole.
  6. Cause and effect. It's a bit hard for the supporters to pull themselves out of the depression and suddenly act as though everything is dandy after everything we've been through. We do our best and I like to think that the supporters of other clubs wouldn't be as resilient as we have through so much shite.
  7. You really don't like the skipper anymore, do you?
  8. His spawn may have two heads, or two sets of hands. It's a gamble really, though an extra set of hands may come in handy clunking a few marks at full forward.
  9. According to Carey, Mitchell wouldn't get a game in any other side besides Hawthorn. I had hope for Newton but he's been underwhelming. Future is cloudy.
  10. Awesome effort and will be 200 of the toughest (mentally and physically) I've seen. Not many have done what Jones has done, through such a dark period. Hoping he has a blinder after a few quiet ones.
  11. Unnecessary. And good riddance? He already left the MFC. All the best to him.
  12. Shows how horribly exposed we become when Jones, Vince, Viney and Cross all have 16 or less disposals. Just weren't working hard enough to get their hands on the ball yesterday and when they fall down, the midfield has no hope. Special mention to some horrendous turnovers and butter fingers from Cross. He's starting to slow down unfortunately.
  13. 'Perfect modern wingman' is a bit ambitious. Was good last week, showed a little bit today. Is still a 'may keep' for me.
  14. So the players are tired... Are they really tired of earning hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to offer the same pathetic rubbish every week? They literally get paid obscene amounts to give us and the wider AFL community absolute drivel. These guys should be so ashamed of themselves. I understand that it is a hard gig, but for [censored]'s sake, neck up and show some heart. How can our guys walk around with their heads up after this consistently happens?
  15. Voted to keep, want him to go. Offers nothing we don't have and his up and under kicks are utter dross.
  16. Upside means nothing until we start winning more games. North and Richmond are competitive and beating top four sides. We aren't.
  17. I hope for your sake you aren't addicted to anything other than Demonland, h_h.
  18. Wingard's head and neck almost got caught in a very bad position with that bump from Hodge. Split second stupid decision from him but I hope he gets a few weeks for it.
  19. I too remember reading this. And I apologise to rpfc for remembering it.
  20. Nice thought, but we really prevented any chance of that through atrocious drafting and arguably worse development. Here's hoping that dream will be fulfilled with the nucleus of Hogan, Brayshaw, Petracca, Salem, Viney, McDonald etc.
  21. He is definitely struggling. Looked a different player when I watched him. One does wonder what happened to his AA form.
  22. Rivers took the chance that was offered, to leave a workplace that was in turmoil. I'm sure a lot of people here would take the same offer if in a similar situation with their place of employment. Don't blame him for leaving and really enjoyed watching him play at Melbourne.
  23. Good list management and making the most out of a [censored] up system. I'd expect us to do the same if we were in a similar position.
