That list line is pretty much it. If they were in our worst few players we'd have a pretty damn good list but the fact is they are both borderline best 22 which means we just don't have the players required.

Broken arm or broken leg? They are both not up to it in the long run and the quicker we replace them on the list the better. We have such a substandard list it's not funny and these guys contribute a lot to that status.

Garland is a better player but lets not sell Maxwell short, he is a premiership captain after all.

I was more thinking Primus, that article the other day was an elaborate ruse, taking the spotlight further away from him.

I don't think there'll be any doubt over desire to win after the whole tanking saga and the attitudes of the players after losing for so long - they must all be desperate to win by now, they just aren't good enough to do it yet.

How is that comment biased? It's a pretty fair point that you can't tell 10 games into their respective careers who is going to end up the better player.

That doesn't really make sense... Davis was a good player before that. Strauss has shown virtually nothing. If they think Lucas is a squib, I'd happily trade Strauss for him. But this probably won't happen because there is no reason as to why Strauss would have any kind of trade value.

Scharenberg is a tall defender isn't he? Why on earth would we draft a tall back who has been nothing more than solid at the championships when we have the shitte$t midfield in the league? It's gotta be Dunstan for me, or if we manage to pick up another solid body in trade/FA Aish or Kelly.

I'd take most blokes for Strauss, really didn't think he'd have any value at the trade table. Where do these 'big rumours' stem from?

So if we are getting rid of Spencer, Fitz and Jamar, are we expecting Gawn to hold down the ruck duties alone for the next ten years? I don't know how you come to the conclusion that Fitzy is a spud after he has played the best of his 7 (just seven) games at the top level and has dominated at VFL for so long. His development for such a young ruckman is going very well. We should definitely jettison Spencer however if Spencer is retained and Fitzy keeps up his good form, he (Fitz) could be useful trade bait.

Casey isn't AFL Sat, it's a big jump and Strauss doesn't have what it takes at the top level in my opinion.

Warren got delisted last year jazza, it was a bit of a surprise as they were so keen to sign him up in 2009 and he was still doing quite well in the VFL 2011/2012. Had a leg break in 2011 I think. So far this season he's had 41 goals from 12 matches so he should be looked at by at least a couple of clubs. I don't think he has been adequate in more than two games (Hawthorn and WBD) and next year once we have a developing player vying for his spot, he'll probably be a waste of a spot on the list anyway.

Rodan has played one, maybe two good games. I'm sure his impact off the field is good but we can't afford to carry him and Davey for another year when both of their careers are heading for the end. I think we will hold on to one of them next season, if that. I'll include Byrnes in this too, though he'll probably stay for another season as he is a little bit younger. We definitely need to go for at least one small forward/mid in the draft or trade period. Maybe Ben Warren? Dominating the goal kicking in the VFL.

4 rucks is the prime number I think. Spencer should definitely go as imo he number four on that list. It's not really that we are top heavy but have a number of good talls to choose from. The fact that we have barely any midfielders to rub together makes it look more so.

I love watching Dawes after the ball goes to ground in front of a pack - he is the first to react and barrels forward towards the ball in a dead straight line, and you can just tell that he is hoping someone will get in his way.

I think last night definitely adds a bit more weight to this argument. He has the players playing with a lot more freedom and flair straight away which is great to see. What really stands out is the presenting - it has improved tenfold and that stupid bombing long to packs has lessened, but still used when needed. I wouldn't be disappointed at all if Craig ended up coach, he certainly seems to be able to interact with the players. Listening to Gawn post match last night on SEN, he remarked that Craig is the funniest bloke he's ever met. It's really good to hear these things as the communication seems to have stepped up a notch and the players definitely react to him. Even if Craigy doesn't get the senior role, I do hope he stays at the club in some capacity.

Though we needed an inside (Viney) and a highly skilled runner (Toump) in the last draft, let's not pass up on Luke Dunstan this draft plz.

Don't worry, we got our Wines in Viney, whom I think will show himself to be a better player in time.

For the next two years... unless we want to pay out his contract.

Let's not forget that Jack is only 22. For a big man his development is above where it usually is for a bloke of his size. There is still plenty of upside to come.

You make some good points here but I can't agree about Watts. His four goals and more importantly excellent presenting got me more excited to be honest. I think it's great seeing back in the forward line because he looks so much more natural down there and more confident. I think he'll be a valuable asset as a high half forward/winger in the future rather than in defense.

Terlich is so much better than Morris it isn't funny. Classic Richmond supporters... someone gets 8 touches a game and runs through people and he is suddenly a star!

I love this man! He is tough, skilled and composed. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him play... We've actually drafted a well rounded player!
