  1. I'd say the AFL will probably be footing at least part of the bill.
  2. No more saviours, I just want a coach that can coach please... or milk that tastes like real milk.
  3. Probably agree with this. Wouldn't be disappointed with any of them though. This is great - we seem to have options in regards to experienced coaches and guys who actually seem to want the job. Bit of a change from last time!
  4. This is just going around in circles now. Basically I think Royal should take more accountability as to the development of our players. I agree that we have a lot of players that just aren't good enough, but this is where a midfield coach should be able to help them develop into better players. There are plenty of guys on the list who aren't getting the best out of themselves (and haven't in the past), even though their 'ceiling' might not be that high. I can see that you don't think Royal should be responsible for this but that's fine, it's your opinion. Furthermore I just think our structures at stoppages and spread is just pathetic - again these are fields where Royal should be teaching the players. As well as that, you are fine to judge Neeld on performance (wins) however Royal escapes this judgement. But that goes back to the 'spuds vs development' argument so I'll leave it at that. Good day to you Rhino Richards, hope it is a pleasant one.
  5. I didn't say anything about form under Neeld. We were talking about what Royal has had to work with and his tenure has extended before Neeld and whilst Jamar was AA. During this time our midfield has always been terrible. So when it is convenient for you, you are willing to underrate players that have actually been pretty good at times. Moloney has had very good seasons, even though he has dropped off now. Sylvia had all the attributes to become a midfield gun but hasn't; that must be due in some point to the person who is supposed to be developing and training our midfield. Also I see you ignored my point earlier about how we set up at stoppages... even spuds can be set up well enough to stop the opposition players getting the ball so easily, as they always have against us. However Royal (if he actually is trying to teach the midfielders anything), doesn't seem to know how to direct them.
  6. Ah, Royal has had an AA ruckman in Jamar as well as pretty good players in Jones, Moloney and Sylvia. Hasn't really helped though has it? You can't sustain your argument so resort to potshots, you know I didn't expect anything more from you mate. There isn't really much point in having a debate with you.
  7. I'm guessing that my guess that Royal as the midfield coach, is responsible for the performance of the midfield is pretty accurate. As Neeld was judged on performance, each assistant should be responsible for the performance of their area and judged on this each season. Royal has overseen a terrible midfield for a long time, it only makes sense that we bring someone else in to have a crack. I remember that under Ratten the midfield was much better, and we still lacked that star player. At least he knew how a stoppage should be set up.
  8. Hang on, so I say that Royal should go, and then you say that I 'don't have the understanding'... and then you explain that Royal will be axed by the new coach. How come you can judge Neeld on performance and not Royal? Is Royal not accountable for the development of young midfielders? We've had talent come through but they haven't come on, clearly has something to do with what they are being taught or told.
  9. Jeez you are becoming less and less coherent. Moloney's record of immaturity? How can someone expect to lead an AFL side when they do things like this? Or crack it when they are told to work harder? I liked his passion for the club but he really doesn't think about the impact or consequences of his actions. Maybe he could have captained the side if he was a bit more diplomatic, took on what Neeld said and tried to work with him but now Brent won't captain [censored].
  10. Give it up mate, the guy you are defending has already proven your own argument wrong but you seem to not have noticed...
  11. He'd be sensational I think, however as I asked in another thread, do people know why he would want to leave Richmond at this point in time? Has he stated that he wants to coach again?
  12. Royal has been an enduring factor while we have been shithouse and especially our midfield has been shithouse. He really has to go, he has to be judged on performance at some point too.
  13. I think he means experience by age in this case. Also he has played quite a bit of footy even though it isn't senior AFL. I don't think Couch will come in unless another midfielder goes down - Magner should come straight back in though. I can see Craig dropping the underperformers quickly though, such as Tapscott.
  14. What I think will be interesting is Craig's player selection each week. I reckon this will really show how much he backed Neelds approach.
  15. I'd love if we got Choco, however why would he leave Richmond where he has a good thing going and has surely just started a new contract?
  16. That would be the most straightforward way to do it. We must try all of the best options first - leave no stone unturned.
  17. And people wonder why he wasn't given the captaincy...
  18. Neita has done a lot more good for the fortunes of the club too.
  19. This must mean you are adept t_u. Lodged your application yet?
  20. I think Ratten is a definite possibility, Ayres is a dark horse. Choco Williams would be my pick.
