  1. Wow... looks like Gazza has done alright, hope The Sculldog doesn't see this!! http://www.heraldsun.com.au/entertainment/confidential/gary-abletts-2m-mansion-in-the-sun/story-e6frf96x-1226126786767
  2. He said he thinks he will stay. Then said he hopes he will stay. Then said he thinks he hopes he will stay. Said MFC has done evertything possible all up to Scully now.
  3. A statistical example of how I believe Scully is being judged harshly: Tom Scully vs. Dustin Martin: Games TS: 31 DM: 42 Ave Disposals per game: TS 21.3 DM: 21.1 Ave Marks per game: TS: 3.3 DM: 3.0 Ave Goals per Game: TS: 0.2 DM: 1.0 Ave Tackles per Game: TS: 4.4 DM: 3.4 Considering many believe Martin is Gods gift to mankind, the stats would suggest that Scully, who has been battling injuries all year, is tracking along just nicely.
  4. Everyone seems to have a different view on the Scully Saga. I'll be devastated if he leaves and I think paying him double now would be well worth it in the long run. I think people have looked at his last few games and forgotten why he was taken at Number 1 and is so highly rated. Need to remember that he has had a very interrupted season with injury – only played 10 games. With a full Pre-Season I think he will be blitzing.
  5. Far too many people on this site completely underestimate what Jones beings to our team each week.
  6. Cant remember exactly how it was said, but on Footy Classified last night they mentioned Jack and said that he was as absolute ripper and nearly harder than his old man already.
  7. Mate, I think you are getting carried away. We have had an equal season with Port although we have won eight games to their two? Port have lost 11 in a row including a three week patch where the lost by a combined total of around 380 points. Our ladder position does not "vastly overrate our season", 12th is exactly where we are at. We have put away the crap teams at the MCG and got thrashed by anyone close to the top of the ladder.
  8. Yep Garry said $6M only for the back. Hankook was still on the front of the jumper held up.
  9. Well smart arse I think I may know something about it since I've been playing in it for the past 20 years. Please tell me where I have said that what he said is appropriate?
  10. Its not your standard football field. If I’m playing on Saturday and someone tells me they are going to rape my mum, I punch them in the face and an all in brawl follows. End of situation. This happens in AFL and there are fines, suspensions, unhappy sponsors, unhappy members, an unhappy board, media reports followed by an investigation etc. These blokes are not down the local club anymore, they professional athletes, competing in a multi-million dollar highly professional environment. What was said was unacceptable in the AFL and the punishment deserved. If you don't like it head down to your local ground and be as derogatory as you like, be warned though, you might end up with a sore face.
  11. What about Aker? He was good in that ledgends game....
  12. Mate I've played footy my whole life and I can tell you, saying you want to rape someone’s mum is not acceptable at a Clayton vs Noble Park game never mind in the AFL where there are highly paid professional athletes competing.
  13. He is also 2nd for goal assists and 3rd for inside 50's.
  14. Its more fun than talking about Scully and Fev.
  15. 1. Jimma 2. Trengove 3. Scully 4. Watts 5. Moloney 6. Jurrah 7. Jones 8. Malthouse
  16. From MFC site. Gys out for season: Round 22 injury list Brad Green (soreness) - test Jack Grimes (foot) - season Gysberts (wrist) - season Jurrah (hip) - test Maric (ill) - test Newton (foot) - 1 week Spencer (knee) - season Struass (leg) - season
  17. Joel Selwood on Footy Classified said he feels that he owes the club and that he and other players are happy to be paid below the odds to keep the group together. Great attitude to have, probably easier to have this attitude at Geelong at the moment though.
  18. Putting whether we deserve it or not aside, if we win big the next three games (Tigers, GC and Port), and Sydney get thrashed by the Saints and Cats, even if they beat Brisbane we could sneak in on percentage. Say we were coming off three huge 80+ point wins going into the finals, confidence is high.......
  19. So if there is no "charges" laid then all these incidents are okay are they? I'm not totally against getting the Fev, especially if he really has turned it around, but you can't just palm off his past indiscretions like they are all nothing. They were bad enough to get him sacked from 2 separate clubs. As I said earlier could be a great story, but I'm pretty wary. Maybe Fev's dad has been reading Demonland today: http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-premiership/brendan-fevolas-father-ange-urges-struggling-melbourne-demons-to-offer-fallen-star-an-afl-chance/story-e6frf3e3-1226114997332
  20. Correct. If it did work out would be a great story though hey? Would there be other clubs interested?
  21. That Ox is now solely a member of the media. The fact he played for Melbourne makes no difference in this matter.
  22. My Opinion: Sylvia - Must Keep Bate - Trade Newton - Delist Davey - Keep - been one of our best for many years. Has had a bad interrupted year but let’s not over react. Maric - Not sure..... Campbell - Delist Bennell - Keep Morton – Trade
  23. Haha imagine young Jack Trengove yelling at Fev telling him to pull his head in... would need the Russian standing behind him as a body guard I think.
  24. With Fev there Fitzpatrick or Cook may not get the chance to overtake him. Say Fev was at Richmond, is there a chance the Jack would have never got the chance to shine on his own?
