  1. That roar at the MCG when Trenners runs back onto the field for the first time in years...
  2. Just answers questions in a huge roundabout way, and spouts coaching philosophies. Blah blah bloody blah
  3. Must sign him. So, so lucky that Freo have turned to poo, otherwise, after yesterday and games like essendon, it would have been very easy for him to leave.
  4. So do we wait Rewoldt retires until we beau the Saints? Rediclous. A victim of our own hype again, both from the media, us on demonland and the players own belief.
  5. Jake Spencer being back is huge for our depth. If Gawn did go down, heaven forbid, he is at least something. i shudder everytime I see frost or pedo rucking when Gawn is on the bench
  6. Because st kilda needed a key forward to replace reiwoldt more than they needed another mid.
  7. it works when we do it. So let's do it against Richmondm not like when we didn't do it against Essendon.
  8. Why the comedic response? Where you been the past 8 years bud? we are on our way but have a long way to go yet. Beating Richmond on the big stage Sunday night would be a start, losing would just confirm their laughter as being justifiable. Small steps for us
  9. Just to get you even more excited for Petracca. I texted my mate who plays for the Collingwood VFL side and obviously played against him on the weekend, asking how is he to play against and this was his reply: "honestly, he is a beast of a human. He could play inside mid and a mid forward as he was taking pack marks and also getting clearances. Honestly he is something you should be very excited about, he is very hard to play against." For the record, that last Melbourne player he played against that he sent me a text message like that about was none other than Jesse Hogan. Not long now boys and gals.
  10. We are aware. Someone please tell the players.
  11. they met Kent last year, he was tearing them apart, much so Richmond weren't enough so eh decided to tear his hamstring apart also.

  13. that's what worries me. Hopefully we have learned from that. I think we are a good chance to win, but a certainty? No.
  14. hmmmm, every Richmond forum i've been on has them "crapping" their dacks and already admitting defeat. Which for us, isn't a good thing. We never win as favorites.
  15. On the Richmond forums, they are all wigging out about Garlett playing as they don't have a match up for him. So i hope to god he is ok and can play.
  16. just doing his bit and playing his role at the moment. Is capable of more, and it will come but at the moment he is just playing role which is great for the team.
  17. http://www.afl.com.au/video/2016-04-17/brayshaw-piles-on-pies-misery
  18. i think we will see the end of Grimes. Surely he will explore free agency. We just have too many younger players who are quicker, with better disposal and decision making etc. A sign of the failings of MFC of old.
  19. LOVE that... Gawn... is coming to power, and could very well be the number one Ruckman by seasons end (touch wood). Sadly Goldstein beats him in terms of around the ground marking, tackling, goal kicking etc. but as a ruckman in the purist form, Gawn is currently number 1. Viney... is getting the recognition that Nathan Jones should have got the past 6 years. Absolute beast and now adored/admired by the likes of Robbo, Healey etc. Not saying i love them and value their opinions, but they do have a fair influence in the AFL media. Watts... please, please, please keep it up for the rest of the season/career. If anyone deserves to truly make it, it is you. MUST play well on the big stage on Sunday night. The whole of Australia will be watching due to the public holiday. IF he has arrived, that will be the stage to do it on.
  20. i agree with you, he isn't more important than them--not yet anyways, some day he potentially will be. This is the toughest week i can remember for our selectors, which isn't obviously a bad thing. For me, the outs would be: In: Garlett (if fit, fingers crossed), Vince Out: Hunt (just bad luck), Oliver (rested) Bugg is safe for me, he does a lot that doesn't get credited (tackles) and we need his "rough and tumble" approach for Richmond, i also assume he may run alongside Cotchin/Martin if required. Richmond are quite small now too due to their injuries, so it'll be interesting to see how many talls we go with, whether we try to "out size" them, or match them in smallish height.
  21. Ok. So...Brayshaw is best 22, and shouldn't be an unlucky soul. There are others who should/could be replaced before him and, to continue using your more polite terminology, it wouldn't stand as an improvement to the side if he was replaced, as his regular involvement in a lot of our goals on Sunday depict.
  22. Those who are wanting Brayshaw dropped are foolish. Watch the highlight of all our goals, he is involved with a lot of the passages of play which led to goals. He is still building his tank due to an interrupted pre-season, but his polish is too valuable to our side. If he is fit and not concussed he must play.
