This club has been on a downward spiral ever since Bailey started cleaning out all the experienced players. Neeld has followed suit and done exactly the same thing plus adding aging hacks & rejects to replace Rivers, Moloney, Petterd & Martin. The recruiting is shizen. We are stuffed, period.

Surprisingly Patrick Smith was on our side this morning talking on SEN. He believes we might just cop a wrap over the knuckles & nothing more because the AFL created the tanking environment and then chose to ignore it when it was clearly going on with more than just one AFL club. They would clearly be hypocrites if they just singled out us.

Just saw Cam Pederson's brief highlight package on MFC.com. Looks impressive, good hands & can kick too. I''m happy with the swap for Gys considering we can land another good midfielder with Pick 4.

Strange to see a coach drafting mature aged players for a change. After going through the Bailey years where he was hell bent in getting rid of everyone experienced and refusing to draft over the age of 25, this could be just the stimulus we need to rise up the ladder.

I agree he could be handy if he comes at a cheap pick. I like his clearance work, could be just what we need out of the centre short term.

I heard Denham also this morning. Started his conversation off with his Melbourne Bears smart ar&e remark. He wants us to win more games in a season by now recruiting more kids. Considering we have now lost a heap of experience in Rivers, Moloney, Green & Jurrah this philosophy would makes us even more vulnerable to bigger floggings.
