  1. I think now that Kozzie has signed Lamb will do deals for those players they want to keep and leave the others till after the season.
  2. I love the fact that MFC kept on saying that he will stay and some journo's saying he is gone, also the doom and gloom on this web site without a shred of evidence of him wanting to leave. I guess LJ left a bad taste in the mouths of some supporters but he got so much cash that he could not turn it down in his home town.
  3. I think he may go into the midfield some time in the current season.
  4. I have watch his progression from an VFL star to an AFL player who is getting better and better with each game this season such that he has so far cemented his place in the AFL team.
  5. On Monday night the boy became a man in the last quarter were he thru caution to the wind and went for it. I believe he will gain a lot of confidence from this performance, but he has still a work in progress.

Kalani looks so much like his dad.
  7. The Herald Sun reckons Kozzie has agreed to stay at the MFC and is only dealing with them for a 4 year deal.

I guess it has origins in basketball where the bounce pass was used regularly.
  9. I realse every man and his dog wants to know whether Kozzie wants to stay or go. I believe the MFC has tabled an offer and he must now decide whether to accept the offer or make a case for a better offer by the MFC or other suitors with performances on the field. Only he knows and obviously has not shared the information at this stage, so we must not panic before he actually comes out with the answer
  10. GPS data is skewed by players when they kick a goal they rush off the ground to the bench
  11. I watched the replay and thought that Judd McVee was very good and is progressing nicely towards a very good AFL player. He seem to be gaining confidence with every game and now takes the game on when he has the opportunity, before the season I bet no one could have imagined his improvement to this stage. Both JVR and Judd will now play in their home state in front of family and friends.
  12. For JVR this was a good beginning but he needs to follow this game up for 20 rounds plus finals. I liked his game but we should not expect him to be a clone of Schwarz or Neitz at this stage, since the bash and crash nature of the game may take a physical toll on this young man. The MFC got it right with his development in not rushing him into the team like they did with Jack Watts. I hope he has a long and successful career at the MFC studded with premiership medals, AA's, Best and fairest, Brownlow and good results in the Coleman.
  13. Darcy is more of a Michelin Man than a Goodyear
  14. Jackson and Weideman are no longer MFC players I don't wish them ill but some players want to go home or a new start and we cannot judge them after 1 game. They will either prosper or fail but they wont be doing it in MFC colours.
  15. For a first game by a rookie it was great and if he can continue that type of form JT did it again.
  16. Very impressed with Judd McVee his rise has been meteoric this season hopefully he can continue and not do a Gysbert.
  17. Chandler on tonights game is a should be a lock for next week but Laurie will be on a knifes edge for the game next week with players like Viney, Fritsch, possibly Salem and May to return spots will be up for grabs.

When Jack Martin wanted to go to Carlton and Adam Cerra also we dodged a bullet as both were overpaid for what they bring to the table.
  19. Both Chandler and Laurie will need to show something at AFL level to be given a contract extension this year.

Rather than replacing Collingwood I prefer Fremantle
  21. He was pick 2 but big forwards take time to mature his years at Brisbane was like Watts at Melbourne thrown in before he was ready. At the Bulldogs his position was never secure and thrown around in various positions forward and back to fill holes.
  22. I watch the highlights and the ball movement was better than 2021, the handballs were over 10 metres long giving the clear receiver a better go at disposal under less pressure. If we can replicate this in the season we will be a much better side than 2021/2022. The young players like McVee and Woewodin did not look out of place.

I spoke to Geoff Tunbridge about the match and he related to me that Norm Smith trained the players very hard on thursday night at the MCG which very muddy and the players were flat as a result, Norm Smith did not make that mistake again in 1960.
  24. I like the current highlights and he has grown from 182cm to 185cm but he looks taller and stronger. His disposal was elite in the highlights. I think last year his form was solid but not flashy now he has confidence in his ability to take the game on which makes his game better.
  25. We have not even seen 1 round of 2023 and some comments are predicting Fremantle to drop but there is a major difference between practice matches and the real thing since coaches experiment during this period to see players play in different positions. Fremantle has a very good onball players who as the season progresses will get better with games since most of them are very young. I hope they drop but no matter what we have 2 first round picks and 2 second round picks and looking at the herald sun this morning there is a lot of players to like in the top 40.
