What I would do if i was in charge of the MFC This season: Put Warnock in the senior team for the rest of the year and tell him he is playing for his spot on the list Put Chris Johnson in the senior team for the rest of the year. Put Dunn in the senior team for the rest of the year Give Garland another 1 or 2 taster games Rest Jeff White. Play P.Johnson and M.Jamar every week in the seniors Rest Neita (I don't want to see him limp to his 300th game, in a game that I hope we lose) Let S.Neaves be the main ruckman for Sandy Tank round 22 Post season: Delistings: Pickett, Ward, Neville, Ferguson without any hesitations Delist Warnock if he doesn't show he can make it as an AFL player, if he shows a glimpse, delist Bizzell If medical staff thinks that Holland can make it another year, keep him given option to retire depending on how their body is shaping up, but if looking ok, give them one more year If Holland is being kepy, delist Nathan Brown In total 6 delistings. Rookie list: Upgrade Neaves to the senior list Retain Hayes for 2008, if he expresses a desire to make it as an AFL player Delist Hughes Watch Bode for remainder of the season, to see if he can cut it at AFL. If so, upgrade him to the list. Trade period: Offer Miller and Jamar up for trade (recognition of fact that they will most likely be unwanted) No trading for players 25 or over No trading away any of our 3 top-20 draft picks (exception if we can lure a superstar type player eg. Judd, Pavlich etc.)

Stuff Pickett Bring in Dunn - he did a good job on Cornes at the G. shouldn't have been left out of the team in the first place Don't drop Buckley, just started to find himself at AFL level last week, starting to show promising signs while i'd like to keep giving CJ a go, there just ain't room for him in the team Ins: Bruce, Dunn, Bell Outs: Ward, Brown, CJ

Not that I ever want to be in a position of defending essendon, I’m not sure what choice they had (I’m sure we’ll know more when the press conference comes out). I’m sure carlton sacking pagan, made them hurry up their decision. They decided not to renew his contract for next season, naturally he probably does not want to stay at the club any longer, with that decision already made if i was an essendon supporter, and they were gonna get rid of sheedy anyway, i'd be outraged if they left it too late in the season to be able to compete with the other potentials in the coaching market

had great potential - but hasn't turned it on in years now if home issues are a problem now, they will be much worse if he is living with melbourne thanks, but no thanks

Great read and well done calabreseboy on getting quoted in the article

For what its worth, I think Bizzell should be re-signed for another year But he is depth at best He had a great game on the weekend, but that was playing loose against the worst forward line in the comp, missing their best forward. As a loose player, he is really good. As an accountable defender, he is adequate at best No way will Bizz get a game, when we are at full strength

Spot on Jaded - Juices work rate when we didn't have possession was fantastic to watch - kept on chasing all night

I still think we are looking too small down back. Miller named as an emergency, is he a chance to come in ... or is Neale gonna pull a surprise for us in his last game. Newton to FB!!!

Zebras v Bendigo Bombers [Reserves Game]

It irritates me, that Frawley was dropped from the Dees lineup. and now has to sit out of footy for the weekend, cause Sandy has a bye -
COLIN WISBEY'S 2006 NATIONAL DRAFT PREDICTIONS
IWAP replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Actually i think McLean was one of his biggest mistakes. He put a big question mark on him when we drafted him, and now admits that he got it wrong -
I really don't think he is that bad. Anyone would have a tough time coaching down at Freo, with the way things are there. I know its a technicality, but he is their most succesful coach. At the end of last year everyone was talking him, and Freo up. Now that Freo are doing poorly (mind you still a lot better than us), people love sticking the knives in Would he be my no.1 choice, no But i could think of a lot of worse choices than Chris
-
What a fun project !!! 1. Scott Thompson, Woey, Simmonds 2. (I take this question in a positive way - think they will get delisted, and would love to see them get another go) Ferguson, Ward, Bizzell 3. Brock McLean, Nathan Jones, Colin Sylvia
-
Id welcome him at the club, if the selction committee thought he was the best man for the job
-
Woey was a great player, but i think its time for him to wake up, and come to the realisation that no one will pick him up for next year He was a slight chance of getting drafted at the end of 2005 He was a 1 in 100 chance at the end of last year, if there was a team desperate enough He is absolutely no chance whatsoever of getting on an AFL list next season, despite the no. of 40 possession games he gets in the WAFL

Has had experience as an assistant coach at Fremantle and at Melbourne, as well as coaching Claremont However has never played AFL at senior level. Would this be a problem? Can't think of too many senior AFL coaches, never to have played at a senior level. Wayne Brittain?
-
Are we sure that Riley isn't a candidate for the job in 2007? If he thinks he is a chance, might he do the same as other potential coaches? hope not If i remember correctly, Greg Hutchison applied for the full-time role at season end. Didn't get it, and left the club

An open letter to Paul Gardner

Bandwagon, Think Grant Thomas leaving St.Kilda Think Terry Wallace leaving Bulldogs Hell even think Neil Balme getting sacked from Melbourne Trust me, this was as smooth of a coach depature as you will ever get -
Thanks for the 10 years Neale You got us through some turbulent times off-field You put up with a lot of things at this club that most other coaches would never have to deal with You got us to a grand final, when we had no right to be there You helped developed some talented youngsters who will go on to great things for the MFC You deserve the dignified exit to the club You'll be getting a large round of applause this Friday night, from me at least

Surely we are not that stupid?!?!
IWAP replied to The Backyard Charizard's topic in Melbourne Demons
Bit harsh IMO- considering he was a good player wearing the mighty Red and Blue for what its worth i don't think he is the worst coach going round - but think when we have to make the decision, there will be better choices available -
DD - if Carlton fail to win any more games, i insist that we tank round 22 so they don't get that extra pick
-
I like Yze - but not as a replacement for Neitz I understand the "Its going to be wet, use less talls" approach but its not that wet out there, for a Melbourne Friday night in winter and our forward line is already short - Robbo will be the only tall - and i wouldn't even call him that
