The Australian flag is the one with red, blue and a demon on it, right?
-
This was when we were hit by draft penalties Thompson at pick 16 was great recruiting, better IMO than all players you listed bar Kerr. Our next picks were 62, 73 and 84. Very rare to get decent AFL players that low in the draft

I'm sure it wasn't either. But even if it was heavy drinking, it still highlights how lenient the previous punishments have been at the club in comparison. Who knows, if they had been harsher in the past, maybe Shaw and Didak would have thought twice about being so stupid

I find the Rhys Shaw suspension confusing You can be an accomplice to a drive by shooting ..... and not get suspended You can drive a car, have an accident with almost 3 times the legal BAC .... and not get suspended But having a drink when your injured? Suspension 2 games
-
He also refused to confirm that we would be moving into the Olympic Park precinct

2nd best. Thoguht Hille was the player that stepped up for Essendon when they needed it. We only dominated when Laycock was in the ruck

Williamstown won by a couple of goals. Not sure how any of our players went
-
I haven't consulted the stats, but i'm sure you'll find that the effectiveness of Black's possessions were well below his usual best Dunn the new Cameron Ling

Went to the game, but had trouble seeing play on the other side of the field - so may not have had the best picture of the overall game but my votes are: Bate - 6 Wheatley - 5 Green - 4 Miller - 3 Dunn - 2 C.Johnson - 1 Apologies to P.Johnson, Garland and Davey

The sign Filth cheer squad held up at the end of the match.
IWAP replied to Red and Blue Bloke's topic in Melbourne Demons
I didn't think there was anything wrong with the sign, apart from the fact that it was a bit dumb (hardly surprising). Apparently Gary Pert has issued an apology to Paul Macnamee over it -
Looks like Morton is also in the INS

While its an interesting concept, I would have thought a stadium this size would be too expensive to justify for 3 or 4 home games a year, and the local VFL team playing once every 2 weeks
-
I agree. Without the benefit of watching the replay, I thought Bruce had a pretty good game. For the most of it, worked very hard, and disposed of the ball reasonably well. Had a few noticeable shockers which I think tends to bias some views around here

Great career Neita, thanks for the memories

I find this quite surprising to hear, cause I was listening to the MMM coverage during the game, and he was getting quite excited over Aussie's possessions. One of his co-callers asked him if he was the new Leon, and he said something along the lines, that he just could be
-
Does anyone know if we are still linked with this youngster (from the NSW scholarship program)? He should be eligible for the draft this year if memory serves me correct
-
Neitz, Yze, Robbo, Bruce, Green, Whelan

I agree, I was really impressed the amount of times he chased opponents when we didn't have the ball. Unfortunately I think a lot of that running was wasted. There were a few times where he sprinted after someone who was clearly too far ahead to be caught. He needs to learn when to chase, and when to conserve his energy, ala Davey. That being said, given his last quarter performance, fitness doesn’t seem like it is an issue Where does everyone see his future position? Is he destined to be a goalsneak, or might he develop into a midfielder down the track?
-
Miller was fantastic. But i've been fooled by his one off performances before He needs to show it in a few consecutive matches, before I'll get excited As good as he was yesterday, i'm not overly optimistic

What a win !!!!!! Does it get any better than today? To all those supporters, who support the Dees week in, week out, putting up with such crap footy all year, copping pot shots from other supporters and the media This win is for you today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we're gonna finish bottom, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate this result

This is one player that gets me turning up each week to watch him develop. Still gets beaten in a lot of contests, but that’s to be expected because of his age and development. Has a great attitude, gives it his all in each contest. Seems to have a pretty decent disposal, and knows how to kick a goal In a season that has been pretty disappointing all round, its nice to have at least one thing go our way. Second round of the rookie draft? What a steal!

Win vs Bulldogs last year the most costly in the clubs history
IWAP replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
That was my immediate reaction too !!! -
I think your right. From memory, Rivers seemed out of his depth in those games
