  1. Unlikely as they've just signed Gov for 5 years at $385mill per season and the compo pick they'd get for Gaff would likely be around mid 1st round
  2. Good suggestions BA
  3. Wise, every club has very good players in contract that could still be traded. 'Actually available' is is a bit of a furphy. Technically, Hogan is contracted and not 'actually available', but here we are, discussing it! And it's worth noting that Hogan is not ready made, he still has major deficiencies that are currently preventing him from reaching near his peak. But the potential is certainly there. As I've said, I'd like to retain him and work on things he can improve, but in a year's time if his contract expires without re-signing, that may be moot. Look, just because Hogan is a young, key forward kicking 47 goals doesn't mean we can't have a reasonable conversation about his worth to the team and his value on the open market, especially given the yearly rumours. It's tiresome reading some posters outrage, belittling and name calling when these types of discussions arise. And yes, I know I'm no angel. ?
  4. Except if you look 2 posts above yours you'll see I state facts which also contradict Garry's MFCSS. Nothing is more boring than posters telling others what to do or how to think.
  5. Except we are currently a top 8 team (FYI we are 7th), might still make the finals and have defeated teams that were top 8 when we beat them. See how the facts have a habit of getting lost in all the negative emotion?
  6. And if my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle. Playing injured us no excuse once the white line is crossed. If injured, rest him and play someone else. Clearly I'm not as wedded to keeping Hogan as some on here. I'd prefer to retain him, but if the price is right and he is having 2nd thoughts, let's do it. For this season, I'm more worried about the long bombs i50 and our inability to convert set shots.
  7. That part I agree with.
  8. Nice hyperbole Wise. If Hogan stalls to recommit and the right trade can be done, he is certainly tradable
  9. I'd say Gawn and Clarry are the only two untouchables ATM. I'd rather keep Hogan, but if he was thinking twice about his future at the Dees and we could extract Cerra (or similar) and a good pick out of Freo, then why the hell not?
  10. Maybe we should get Neeld back, hey Garry?
  11. PLEASE STOP THE LONG BOMBS INSIDE 50!!!!!!
  12. GWS 'fans' in Canberra are the worst. Don't pay attention to the game, talk loudly about their legal jobs, don't know the players, like to gloat, have no idea what the club song is at the end, Took all my might to stop BBO from eating them whole a couple of years ago. He was that angry.
  13. Not the first time we've suffered a loss from wasteful goalkicking this year. Delivery inside 50 and set shots are an ongoing issue for us.
  14. And if Viney's foot continues to play up, who's our captain then? Honestly, you could throw a blanket over all of our leaders and it would be empty.
  15. I was particularly pleased at how our forward entries repeatedly picked out Aliir or Heney with aplomb
  16. We seem to have too many of 'those days' mate
  17. I think you've covered all bases there Nasher. My resting heart rate just shot up. Thanks
  18. Not sure where we'll finish or who we play, but i reckon this mob are steadily developing an 'anywhere, anyone, anytime' mentality. Building to something special, certainly not complete, but not far away. Maybe not this year, but something is different this time. I believe.
  19. Moonshadow is impressed.
  20. Thanks for the report Big Russian. Please post more.
  21. What's with the talking about yourself in the third person Biff?
  22. Even the Damien Barrett on afl.com.au can see clearly!
  23. Relax, we've got this....
  24. Very good DA
