  1. Sheedy as an assistant on 2019??? Now I've heard it all. As an occasional crafty spruiker for Essendrug he has a place. Not at Melbourne in 2019. Won't happen.
  2. That there are only two Tigers and zero Eagles is telling on the value of experience
  3. Our tails?
  4. I'm sure Ethan can find a spare lock-up cell for you Andy. If Tmac kicks the winner again you might need a room like that for protection.
  5. Two main Melbourne papers reporting it is something, Wise. Of course Worsfold will play a straight bat, did you expect him to say they've reached agreement already? May amount to nothing. As I said, strange things happen in trade week. From The Age: "The Bombers are understood to have Greater Western Sydney midfielder Dylan Shiel on their radar with the coach trotting out a familiar line when asked about reports they were interested in the 25-year-old Giant." If we supposedly have $ in our cap for 2 stars, why not Shiel? Or are we just happy to let Essendon stroll past and snaffle him with ease? (yes, I know, that's probably hyperbole)
  6. Bingo! Reports have Essendon in negotiations with Shiel. He's exactly what we need. Hogan to Freo, Freo first two picks (6 & 24) to GWS, Shiel to Dees. I do not want Hogan to leave, but sometimes strange things happen in trade week
  7. Impeccable as always
  8. That's a pretty good question DZ. Maybe they assessed it could do no more damage. Given our run of foot injuries, they would surely be on edge and cautious at the first sign of discomfort, which Jesse said was Q2
  9. We are interested in Sam Collins and Marty Hore from VFL apparently. Hoped to get Collins as DFA, but must go in the draft now. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/free-agent-target-collins-sent-to-the-draft-20180813-p4zx9t.html
  10. Third rounder. Approx pick 43, of little use in a trade
  11. Ah yes, the blazers. Didn't someone find one in an op shop down Frankston way a while back?
  12. I didn't hear him say it was big or small on TF. He said he'll know when he speaks with docs tomorrow
  13. Announced he wants a trade ??
  14. Just interviewed on Talking Footy. Very nervous, not a great speaker. Was asked about staying long term at the Dees. Gave the well rehearsed, straight bat response. He's Gawn!
  15. I opened thinking this thread was about old dee's birthday
  16. 10/10 for spelling!
  17. Stick a skewer in the bastards eardrums before the game. Can never be too careful
  18. Go to your account (top right three horizontal bars) then ignored users, then type in "sir why you little", and select "yes". ? ?
  19. I blame the ghosts I saw in SWYL's mate's house! ??
  20. God I love the ignore function
  21. With his contract expiring in 14 months I'd say common sense would be to consider options rather than shouting outrage. If he re-signs, good. If not, what are some of the possible outcomes (apart from many on this thread crying in a foetal position)
  22. Geez you're stubborn Wise! I said earlier, the line for untradable (whatever that means) should be Oliver and Gawn. And Hogan hasn't kicked 50 in a game (!) Or even 50 in a season yet. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, particularly with foot scans in play. I thought BAs suggestions plausible. To some extent, contracts mean zilch. GWS may want to retain The Rabbit or Whitfield, but if... if they want out a trade is likely. 'If' being the critical word. Apparently Gov jnr at Adelaide will be doing just that in October. Strange things happen at trade time. Hogan's current contract finishes in 14 months. We might be forced to trade him out. What is he realistically worth on the open market and what trade scenarios could be worked? Or shall we just keep our heads in the sand...
  23. Well argued
