Around the grounds.
I remember trying to get in before the game. A bit of a hit and miss but the smell of the eucalyptus oil was something I won't forget.

CHANGES: AFLW Rd 03 vs St. Kilda
Covid paranoia will make the changes for next week. And why would you drop Fitzsimons ?

Around the grounds.
Ah yes the old suburban footy grounds. I have vague memories of Glenferrie oval but I was young back then, My favourite ground was the lakeside oval. Can srill remember the freezing days watching the mud splash standing near the Melbourne grog squad behind the goals or being camped under the channel 7 rickety stand on the wing. The 2 I hated the most were Kardinia Park and the Western oval. Don't know why it is just the way it was. Vic park, Windy Hill and Moorabin were a breeding ground for the most despicable urchins to be bred in Melbourne but they did have that interesting factor to them. Yic park was definately the end of the sewerage grounds in Melbourne. I have a fond memory of the Junction oval especially as it was the only place I saw a live premiership. Prahran in 78 Princess park was the most soul less and boring place as well. I do miss the suburban grounds.

GAMEDAY: AFLW Rd 2 vs Richmond
Solid performance and another win away from home. Hore, McNamara, Paxman, Hanks and Fitzsimons were probably our best. Goldrick as well. Second quarter very good but we took some nana pills at 3/4 time and snoozed a bit. I look forward to going next week.

GAMEDAY: AFLW Rd 2 vs Richmond
Goldrick, Mcnamara and Colvin are good ins but the loss of Gay and Scott is a worry.

Part 3 - Top 100 Demons of the past 50 years
Again an interesting read. There were 4 players, all in a row that I would question especially in the 41 to 60 brigade. These were 49 to 52. Would definately have Grinter inmy top 30. He had the rough man attitude thrown at him but I thaught he was a sensational player as well.

Has 186 been laid to rest?
Unfortunately for us poor MFCSS sufferers the tragedy of 186 cannot be fully put to bed. However there is some slight relief in that every time we play then I just want to see us hidiously dismember them.

VOTES: AFLW Rd 1 vs Western Bulldogs
Agreed.

GAMEDAY: AFLW Rd 1 vs Western Bulldogs
Reasonable first half but pretty poor second half. Our skills seeemed to drop off but it is only round 1. I thaught Zanker, both Pearces, Birch and hanks were our best players. A win at the western oval is a win so gladly take it.

COVID Disruptions 2022
If you turn up to play a game and you have a bit of a cold then most likely you will still play. As it stands now what is the difference with covid ?

GAMEDAY: AFLW Rd 1 vs Western Bulldogs
Goldrick and McVamara should be in the side but it is not a bad side anyway. Have the dogs ever played us at Casey ? Anyway my jury is still out on Harris so I wouldn't be surprised to see Gay down to FF and Zanker in the middle. Also Tarrant and Birch is a very good FB line.

Hunt v Bowey and Hibberd v ??
Hunt instead of Hibbo. I am not a Tomlinson fan although he played well at the start of last year. That briefly sums it up.

Part 2: Top 100 players of the past 50 years - 61-80
An interesting read. I would have Peter Giles adn Matty wheelan easily in my top 40. Brad Miller in the top 100 is, I will put it politely, odd.

Top 100 Demons of past 50 years
Excellent thread deespicable. The one thing that got me from your 81-100 was Stephen Icke. I thaught he was a great player and prbably in my top 50. But it is all opinions and an great read.

Anyone for cricket?
A convincing win in the end. Hope the team stays the same. Good to see Green get a couple of wickets. Hope Harris will do something with the bat next test.

Anyone for cricket?
Close to a 200 hundred lead. Should not lose from here. Warner was fairly lucky today but there will be questions over Harris and Green. Locally Harris has been inconsistent with the bat and Green right out of form. Hope they keep their spots though. Great innings from Head.
