Reasons for our Inaccuracy?
Damm simple, just run in straight over the man on the mark just kick it don't move on an arc.

CLARRY IS NOT A TAGGER
Because you have to find another role for Oliver, the game has changed for teams. It is now a different game than in 2021, and if it is not played in a contested way, all Oliver does is chase his opponents' boots. Look at how the Hawks run for a lead at kick-ins. For example, in the first quarter, down the ground vision at a Dees' kick-in, Kossie could have peeled off to the right into open space, but the kick-in went to the left to a contest. When we transfer the ball, it's a stop-start motion; there's a lack of players who can kick low passes. The list goes on, and for God's sake, can someone adjust JVR's hand position when marking? He's not trying to catch a cricket ball.

Goal Kicking - Bring back the fatties
The one thing why the past forwards kicked so well was they all kicked straight over the man on the mark not the hard really, the only reason they kick in an arc is to try and get extra distance with the ball.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs West Coast
While the win was good to see we only played the bottom side and only won by five goals so let's keep this in perspective now comes the hard part of the draw and that will determine what happens after that, I thought Viney did a good job on Reid overall Max was brilliant Turner should always be on the lead as a forward, Rivers should be banned from making any football decisions where he has to think Kossie is another one he is an instinct player, but the lack of forward craft is our Achilles heal but as the old saying goes you can only beat what's in front of you.

TRAINING: Thursday 1st May 2025
2 hours ago, Redleg said: I am still pretty upbeat about this kid. Really looking forward to seeing him after a full pre season and the rest of this one developing at Casey. He might be our next smokie along with Sesto. I agree, he has a football brain, hard in the contest. What he needs is good development by the club, and that's the bit that is letting JVR, Turner and Luker down. You could also include Jefferson in that.

The Next CEO
Not having a football background these days as the CEO is not a disadvantage as the role has changed. It is more commercial now, and the reality is CEOs carry out the board's direction and implementation of the agenda that the club sets, ie if the club wanted to sack a coach that would have to be done at the board level, not him alone, he must raise concerns and ideas to the board and it is up to them for approval or rejection. The club has appointed him, and it is up to the club to support him in all areas till he gets a handle on all parts of the operation. Good luck to him on being appointed.

The Next CEO
The last part if that is why Carlton bought in Brian Cook to stop that interface.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond
18 hours ago, Pennant St Dee said: Coached Luker in development squads and played him at CHB a fair bit. Reads it well and always attacked the contest with intensity. When he played at CHF or FF always hit contests hard and really good with follow up efforts. Concerning about Jeffo as intensity is a difficult trait to ingrain within a player long-term if it’s not in their DNA I like Luker, and with some proper coaching, he could be something he has the first ingredient as a competitor a bit of c... in him he also has a good football brain but it will all come down to coaching the same with JVR and fixing his hand and arms position when the ball comes in hard and fast so he marks with one grab.

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
If and only if West Coast plays the way did against the Bombers we will get exposed on the outside as the Eagles will fling the ball outside and that's our Achilles heel midfield pace but if the Eagles play like Freo did get sucked into a scrap well that will favour us, will interesting to see if their ruckman will jump into Max to nullify him at centre bounces.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond
I'm sure people don't look at the game in how in unfolds if Jesus was there he wouldn't get a touch the delivery its rabble their whole half was complete rubbish and a circus.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Because freo played a shocking gameplan against us Longmuire did not do a good job against us.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Oliver can as well.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond
The trouble is when you win like that, you have to take into the effort from the opposition, and by that score, there was not that much considering they only kicked 3.7 for the game.

TRAINING: Wednesday 23rd April 2025
1 hour ago, Adam The God said: Yep, I've always liked this model mate. I'm happy to play two talls as well, but I really don't like the three tall forwards. It places too much forward pressure on too few, and encourages long bombing to talls that draw the ball. I'd rather play two talls and have one as a genuine second ruck who can hit the scoreboard (JVR hopefully), much like Collingwood with Cox in 2023. Well, if three talls encourage long bombing, it means poor coaching and gameplan. Then you can't blame the players, or they are not doing what they are supposed to, which would it be?

Max Gawn shanks left - AGAIN
Here is a thought maybe just run in over the man on the mark it's a proven goal kicking technique.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
43 minutes ago, dees189227 said: It was nice to see our forwards not get in each other's way today. Our tackling and pressure in our 50 was great. Something fritsch has to learn to do No, but we saw two players with locked arms around the ball trying to take it off each other. Maybe a visit to Specsavers might be in order.

NON-MFC: Round 06
Not all of it was that was just one part.

NON-MFC: Round 06
Well, I must admit I haven't seen a lot of Collingwood games, but it appears they have changed the gameplan again. One has to be impressed with it .......

Recruiting - where did it all go wrong
It all went wrong when Goodwin failed to see the changing trends of football in the 22 season and onwards Stevie Wonder could see we needed outside pace in the midfield and move the ball with quick pace and skill instead still wanted to play the inside contested ball down the line football and blind faith that it would work. Our forwards line has struggled by this ball movement and will continue to do so until they get some help on how to get separation skills running patterns and body use against their opponents, they also need to stop allowing the backmen to easily transfer the ball out of the back half with ease thus allowing the transfer of the ball across the H/B line while everyone is on one side of the ground, it is damm frustrating to see the ball move towards the forward line and all you see is opposition numbers by 2 and 3 players. Max unfortunately cannot jump at centre bounces anymore and is unable to give advantage to most of the time and therefore is a libility but he is great around the ground he needs help and not just JVR, Viney, Oliver gets shown up when it's not contested all the time and are just chashing stops now does Goodwin go for broke and introduce a new midfield and forward line and stay the course or just go the same i guess we will find out tomorrow
