  1. The trouble is when you win like that, you have to take into the effort from the opposition, and by that score, there was not that much considering they only kicked 3.7 for the game.

It places too much forward pressure on too few, and encourages long bombing to talls that draw the ball. I'd rather play two talls and have one as a genuine second ruck who can hit the scoreboard (JVR hopefully), much like Collingwood with Cox in 2023. Well, if three talls encourage long bombing, it means poor coaching and gameplan. Then you can't blame the players, or they are not doing what they are supposed to, which would it be?
  3. Here is a thought maybe just run in over the man on the mark it's a proven goal kicking technique.
  4. No joke you have your opinion I have mine.
  5. You are kidding last year for me.

Something fritsch has to learn to do No, but we saw two players with locked arms around the ball trying to take it off each other. Maybe a visit to Specsavers might be in order.
  7. You answered your own question they don't get it....
  8. Would be playing at Casey for the last 2 years if it was me...
  9. Not all of it was that was just one part.
  10. Well, I must admit I haven't seen a lot of Collingwood games, but it appears they have changed the gameplan again. One has to be impressed with it .......
  11. It all went wrong when Goodwin failed to see the changing trends of football in the 22 season and onwards Stevie Wonder could see we needed outside pace in the midfield and move the ball with quick pace and skill instead still wanted to play the inside contested ball down the line football and blind faith that it would work. Our forwards line has struggled by this ball movement and will continue to do so until they get some help on how to get separation skills running patterns and body use against their opponents, they also need to stop allowing the backmen to easily transfer the ball out of the back half with ease thus allowing the transfer of the ball across the H/B line while everyone is on one side of the ground, it is damm frustrating to see the ball move towards the forward line and all you see is opposition numbers by 2 and 3 players. Max unfortunately cannot jump at centre bounces anymore and is unable to give advantage to most of the time and therefore is a libility but he is great around the ground he needs help and not just JVR, Viney, Oliver gets shown up when it's not contested all the time and are just chashing stops now does Goodwin go for broke and introduce a new midfield and forward line and stay the course or just go the same i guess we will find out tomorrow
  12. Sorry, it is a lack of talent if the club is serious hard decisions need to be made on senior players by dropping them, Viney is a liability in the midfield Oliver just jogged around chasing stops we have players who lack football smarts, and we were in the right spot right time for a flag and it's gone downhill since, Goodwin mentioned the problems with the forward line in 22 onwards and it's been the same thing and we haven't solved it now.
  13. Sorry you are wrong it is a lack of talent and skills and run, as I said in an earlier post decisions on senior players need to be called Sorry, it is a lack of talent if the club is serious hard decisions need to be made on senior players by dropping them, Viney is a liability in the midfield Oliver just jogged around chasing stops we have players who lack football smarts, and we were in the right spot right time for a flag and it's gone downhill since, Goodwin mentioned the problems with the forward line in 22 onwards and it's been the same thing and we haven't solved it now.
  14. This was easy to predict what was going to happen the game changed we didn't you cannot keep going to the well year after year with a one paced poorly skilled midfield and a dysfunctional forward line now the club has to make some very hard decisions on some senior popular players, the question is do they have the balls to do it.

The way we are set up with no clear exit does him no favors. Hope to god we end up with Longmire before Windsor gets destroyed. A lot of similarities with Gulden in the sense he was drafted as a an agile wingman with great agility with little experience as an inside on ball player. Longmire turned an already elite outside player who can hit the 45 degree kicks with ease into a crucial piece of the Swans on ball brigade. If Windsor can become half as good, I’ll be happy. Well funny about that there were people on this site thinking that was going to work never was going to work Windsor is an outside player with a run
  16. Years wasted under Stafford he has no clue on body positioning where to lead poor hand and arm positioning, time to get Jonathan Brown, even Fev who is still doing it to teach these guys 34ba813fef5bfe0cd7e7d5a1da46d56b.mp4
  17. Their young kids are progressing ours haven't.
  18. We had one of those this year
  19. He is a witches hat tonight not even bothered to run flat out.
  20. I imagine a lot of supporters will passover tonight to watch.
  21. Well, knock me down with a feather. ANB has improved his skills, and here is an idea: all our players do a pre-season with another club before the season starts.
  22. 1 hour ago, Earl Hood said:   I think Viney has to go as a mainstay of the midfield. He has been a great warrior for us, but the game has evolved and he hasn’t, either because he can’t or he won’t. I find it difficult to understand how a footballer at the elite level hasn’t got the peripheral vision and poise to pick out targets around them. I know not every mid can have the vision of a Pendlebury but surely you can try. And that’s the worry for me, that Viney doesn’t even try and fail but continues to just blindly throw it on his left boot to nobody in particular. It’s been an issue for some time. I still have flashbacks of that last dumped kick against Carlton with 30 seconds to go, straight to Walsh? while Tracc was running loose on his inside calling for the handball and us going out in straight sets in 2023. Can he play the defensive small forward role with brief stints on the ball? I believe he deserves the chance. I agree with you, except for his playing as a small forward. He simply does not have the smarts, and Backman would simply run off him. He has been a great player for the club, but sometimes you have to make hard decisions for the team.
  23. See Fev even shows how easy it is. 34ba813fef5bfe0cd7e7d5a1da46d56b.mp4
  24. Max is a liability at centre bounces now he unfortunately cannot jump and just trys to body his opponent and opposition sides have worked that out, and I will say it again we have a one paced lack of skills midfield and that's being found out against sides that will transition the ball with pace. Some serious questions need to be asked: can you continue to play Viney in the midfield? How does one change Oliver's role because all he is doing is chasing stops, giving him a hard tag, and he cannot cope? The next 4 games might dictate what direction the club takes.
  25. I agree about burgess he was a bigger loss than we think.
