Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
7 hours ago, Pates said: There are people I want to leave the club, Chaplin is most definitely not one of them. He is (to me) our only highly rate assistant. I hope that whoever we get in is able to worth with him and I would send him back to being the defensive line coach. I wonder if his immediate refusal is more to do with him knowing the direction the board want to go down and he's basically saying "I'm not going to waste my Chaplin has been there to long toome to go.

NON-MFC: Round 22
Jesus, one day a coach will let players actually be allowed to think instead of handballing to players in a worse position. They are so robotic in their actions, they don't even look to see the dangers of it or if there are better options.

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
And if they do then that's a backhander to supporters they get paid enough to do what they are employed to do.

How you doing?
1 hour ago, Previously known as LITD. said: Then again I just read Simon saying....... I’m disappointed because I think we’re a hell of a lot closer to turning our club and team back into a contender again than what people think, So there's that. Then he was delusional about the midfield and forward line the players skill level by hand and foot and decision making one could see the game change in 22 onwards even he admitted problems with connection with the forward line and what changed how have players been educated on forward craft not one has stood out, this fell on him, now I'm happy that he guided us to a premiership with the gameplan that worked for us. Still, if you you cannot evolve as the game changes then you fall behind now I didn't see the sacking until or maybe at the end of the year if at all but it's done and now we move on.

What role did Alan Richardson play?
6 hours ago, The Trunk said: I can’t believe with the decision to sack a Premiership Coach that a Board (even Melbourne’s) would take such a huge decision without input from either a senior player (Max no way) or GM Football. Richardson would have heard the “noise” that major change was coming . It will come out in time because leaks always happen at Melbourne but if this is the case this reeks of Dean Bailey / Cameron Schwab ie we got the wrong man. Watch this space Gee, I remember the same club when the players ruled the roost. It took Peter Jackson and Roos to sort that out, whether you like it or not, it's a business. Players are employees, and they will be coached by a new person, and they will adapt or move on or get moved on. That's football.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
They gave Goodwin chance he just didn't move away from 21 football the game did and it showed.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?

Simon Goodwin Sacked
Those having a go about Casey should get a grip, do you really know think that the home base issue just happened over the last few years we have been a caravan club since we left the G we had our chances over certain periods of time now people think this will happen now caulfield will still be a few years away if it goes ahead so if you are complaining about Casey what do you suggest they do, borrow anywhere from one hundred million plus to build one we are where we are deal with it.

Simon Goodwin Sacked
While I was surprised by the announcement this morning, the bandaid has been torn off moving forward, but I would like to say thanks for your time and effort, and you will always be in the history books as a premiership coach, and that can never be taken away. Sometimes in life you believe in something so hard you lose sight of the end game and get caught up with it and are unable to see what the problem is, which I'm afraid happened with Goodwin, and therefore his downfall. It will be interesting to see what direction the club takes.

Caroline Wilson’s article 2 August 2025
What do the runner and welfare officer have to do with a player being substituted? Nothing. An acting person in a position applying for another job, and you think that he missed out because he was at the club was the reason... laugh my [censored] off. Having a new CEO not starting until September is not ideal but not earth-shattering; he will be well-informed about issues, and we have had someone doing the role. The position we are in regarding football is entirely on the football department, and they should have seen the warning signs three years ago regarding game style and player performance. It's time for a reset, but it's apparent that Goodwin will maintain the status quo. As for Trac, he will only go somewhere else if the club decides so, not him. The same goes for Oliver and Viney, but I could move on from those two if any party is interested, along with Salem and a couple of others.

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Why look into the future when you can live in the past....

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
If Petty is going to play forward he has to be a lead up player not a pack mark player when he has done that he has had better influence than what he is doing now.

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Post of the week, People forget that when football was invented, even the men took years to become efficient in their skills. As the game evolved, so did the players. Women, until recently in the grand scheme of things, only started playing this as a semi-professional game. Wait until the new generation of girls comes through the ranks; skills will improve enormously. Girls' football in the junior ranks at some clubs is outnumbering the boys, so it will get better as more money is invested in girls' football by clubs with coaching and resources. People just have to be more patient.

From anger to action: A call for constructive feedback to leadership
Why do you need to do this when members can email their thoughts directly themselves if they are concerned.

From anger to action: A call for constructive feedback to leadership
It's a waste of time. Half the posters think there was nothing wrong until now, and the other half could see that there was something wrong two years ago. Besides, I don't think it takes a rocket science expert for the club to realize that people are angry. However, now is not the time for the club to react to the media's timelines. I just hope they change things up regarding players for the last four games, but I won't hold my breath.

TRAINING: Monday 28th July 2025
15 hours ago, Kev said: They certainly aren't the feared midfield they used to be. Goody played many of the squad out of there optimal positions as he looked for answer. Just hasn’t worked. I remain optimistic. Would love us to find a forward that becomes feared and produces consistently good performances. The game style by other sides started to change in 22 and onwards, contested football down the line to contest was our strength, and not much high-quality skill by hand and foot, and quick running wasn't needed, now it is. We have been found out on all levels. The next four weeks should be about changing things up, but I doubt they will go too far with that.

Salem is the other i put in the out list as well he treads on water when he chases the game style has gone past them them been great servants but they are not going to deliver another flag with us with the way they play.

TRAINING: Monday 28th July 2025
It's not just the running Kev we cannot have Viney, Oliver and Trac as a starting midfield they are one paced lack of skills by hand and foot and football nouse, time for a change, Trac to play more forward than midfield can Oliver learn new skills and not just be a contested player not sure and Viney well been a good player for us but don't think he can play another position in the side, come seasons end it will be interesting to see we're the direction the club takes.

Brad Greens letter to members
49 minutes ago, beelzebub said: There wasn't any mention of the Board Meeting or what they might be addressing. He managed to drive right around that. We aren't stupid. The club has long taken many of us for fools. All I'm saying is that posters wanted something to happen now, and that can't happen until the board meets. All he did was acknowledge the issue now, it's over to them.

How can he inform supporters anymore than he has until they have their board meeting?
