  1. Totally agree I have said it on this site since 22 you could see it pan out but they just played the same way with the same problems but posters kept saying we are all good, well it's bitten us in the butt.
  2. So you want to compare our list with North's then and you think it's comparable, and then let's compare the the two clubs then shall we, from when clarkson got there and Goodwin from 22 it's been downhill since.

North was a basket case until he got there. he has a bunch of kids that are going to take time to develop, but there are signs, unlike us, a premiership in 21, and are going backward at a speed of knots.
  5. So, the umpires are to blame for a poorly skilled side by hand and foot; a side that struggles with football nous and a game plan that's not working. But it's the umpires' fault, they make fewer mistakes than players. It's time to drop Salem, revamp the midfield, and persist with it for the last five games. As for Jefferson, yes, he had some bad moments, but give him the last five games to confirm whether he can make it. In the end, this club needs to make some serious decisions at season's end, and it must take the hard decisions to fix it.
  6. No it isn't.
  7. I understand the support for Oliver, and he is still one of the best below-the-knees footballers since Greg Williams, but he is a limited footballer with average kicking skills and is not a great decision-maker when the game is not contested, like we played in 2021. Today's game has exposed him for that. Could he be more dangerous playing with another coach or club? Possibly, but the fact is, as I have always said, we have a one-paced, poorly skilled midfield, and until we address that, we will struggle to compete for the flag again. If the club thinks he needs to move on, I'm not against it. The same goes for Viney.
  8. And people said that about Jones doesn't always work out.
  9. Well it's a win but against a side that is young and along with us have a lack of skills and clearness with the ball, the pleasing thing for me from this game was Jefferson where I didn't see much in the past was his preparedness to initiate body contact but today we saw some and he was also good on the lead which could be beneficial for him moving forward. As for Tristan Xerri, while he will be suspended, it was not an intentional act, full stop. We are well behind with skills pace and gameplan compared to the top sides but let's hope the last 6 games are competitive.
  10. If only we had changed after 22...
  11. Yeah because Dacios has such big body for a midfielder...
  12. Big difference between playing a midfield role and a Backman's role fitness wise the time against Daicos you could see that would have thought they would have worked on that pre season obviously not.
  13. Well, I will tell you one thing about Kentfield, he would attack the ball a lot harder than Jefferson to make a contest at least.
  14. That's not his problem it's the hunger for the contest that's his problem and will hold him back.
  15. If the club is serious, then you cannot play Oliver and Viney in the midfield for the time being. It's time to change it; they are too slow, lack football awareness, and have a lack of skills. All Viney wants to do is play rugby again instead of focusing on football, and as for Oliver, if the game is not a contest, he chases his tail. As for Jefferson, he has no thirst for the contest. Early in the game, he just jogged along, not even bothering to chase an opponent, and for someone who wants to play at a high level, that's just not acceptable. Well, at least the game was not a blowout. They kept trying, but the lack of skills and football nous is amazing for professional footballers.
  16. So what you are saying is he has short arms and deep pockets or a cold?
  17. Only if they can develop him and I'm not sure of that.

He lost a third of his body weight and all his muscle tone. When he returned well into the preseason MOST OF WHICH HE MISSED OUT ON he was unrecognisable, literally unrecognisable. He was so weak it was an effort for him to PUT HIS [censored] SHOES ON. Yet you’ve no qualms about bagging him? He’s a kid ffs. Considering what he’s been through it’s a huge achievement he can play at all. Well said people forgot about how sick he was and as we all know if you miss out on a fair chunk of pre-season it puts you back a fair way.
  19. He is one of the most underdeveloped kids on the list. he has good attributes, like contact, good football brain, good kick and has a good bit of dog in him. If you watch Casey play good sides with our delivery, Jesus wouldn't get a kick there.

Sounds like Rivers will be sent back to defence in place of Windsor. I assume T.Mac is back in for Lever and Jeffo in for JVR with Tholstrup in as likely sub - Lindsay back starting. I especially liked hearing that Goody intimated that Viney may play forward - been calling for that for some time as he actually is a very accurate shot at goal - he just can't hit up targets with ease. And what benefit would Viney be playing in the forward line, average overhead mark, cannot kick over 45 metres out, not quick on a lead?
  21. The facts are that God wouldn't get a kick in our forward line with the lack of kicking skills and decision-making by the midfield players bringing the ball in.
  22. How about they just get the technique right? That would be a start.
