Forward Coach
Can someone fill me in if we have a permanent forward line coach yet, as I believe Scarlett and Hawkinds are part-time?

Calling all pre-season track watchers ...
To save people reporting here for the first couple of weeks in advance here is my training report, The boys look in better shape than last year. They were running harder than they had in last year's preseason. Recruits look bigger than I thought. Coaches were more engaging this year. Training the house down big year coming. Players have bulked up. End of report.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Lmfao, I know. I blame Goodwin in part for this; his last couple of years had the smell of when the players ruled the roost before Roos and Jackson got there, and behaviors were excused. But there must be more to this.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Grieving, he's a football player for Christ's sake not a family member or friend move on.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Should have changed it after 22..

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Jesus, anyone should think Oliver died, get a life, football is a business, and these things happen. Oliver made his own bed to lie in, just hope he stays away from motorcycles....

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Very simple, Jack Steele has very similar stats and more goals.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
One would hope he stays away from motorbikes......

His running patterns will change to be more attacking, that's today's game styles, as it is now opposition sides run off him, If that's all you think Oliver can do, why has King, as far as we know, want him to play a different role.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
That's because of our game style, not what suited him. If anyone thinks he will go to another club and play the same way, they are wrong. Most stats are a load of [censored], full of cheap possessions. Then, take into account wasteful disposals, wrong decisions, and where he gets them; certainly not in the front half. That's running patterns, pure and simple. The same goes for Viney: if the game is not a contested game, scrimmage to scrimmage, he's a liability. Can Oliver change his role? The answer is yes, it just takes hard work.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
58 goals from 2015 to 2025; is that a good stat for an elite midfielder? Stats are mostly a load of [censored]. People complained about Daicos not winning the Brownlow, but he couldn't win his own B&F. As I have said before, Oliver is one of the best below-the-knee players since Greg Williams, but he doesn't hurt you forward of the ball. Daicos has kicked 63 goals in four years now; if we could have a mix of both players into one, that would be a dream. Sometimes people need new challenges, and if he stays, he might become an even better player. If he wants to stay, all he has to say is 'I'm staying.' Full stop.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
He's a ball hunter with poor footskills and decision maker and how do you know if he couldn't change roles?

There were numerous times when Kozzi was the best for us in the middle, speed, break away, disposal, linking up . Yes, and where does Kossie do the most damage, as a forward or a midfielder? While he has the pace, he doesn't have the endurance. He is an impact player. Yes, he can sometimes play in midfield, but he's not a full-time midfielder you take away a 40+ goal a year player to play in short bursts.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I should have said that if they can develop Oliver with more ball skills and running patterns and improve his football awareness, he will improve significantly, but if they don't, he will remain the same, and that is on Goodwin.
-
Farewell Clayton Oliver
Kossie does more damage as a forward than as a midfielder until he is taught the craft, and I'm not sure that even then, if Oliver goes to another club and they develop him with more skill and running patterns, he will just stay at the same level. Goodwin has a lot to answer for there. This is going to be an interesting year.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Doesn't go well for Viney either because he's slower than Oliver and Trac with the same skills. People are now seeing what people have been saying for the last couple of years a one-paced, lack of skilled midfield.

2026 Rule Changes
I would have gone further, Ruckman are not allowed contact until the ball is thrown in from boundary throw-ins, and no grappling at centre bounces. It's a blight on the game.

2025 Grand Final
Scott was outcoached especially in the second half, dangerfield, smith shutdown ball movement delivered with purpose and bringing in Neil for the second half instead of starting him a genuis move.

2025 Grand Final
Food poisoning.?

NON-MFC: Finals Week 03
It's an embarrassment to the game full stop.

NON-MFC: Finals Week 03
If he gets suspended for that play the grand final in dresses.

Robbie Flower
I called him SOG, SON OF GOD. He was the best pound-for-pound footballer to ever play the game, both hands and both feet, a great mark. There will never be enough superlatives to say about him.

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
Poor McClure he's been wrong so many times it's now becoming boring he's trying to make stuff up to deflect the [censored] he has been saying.

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
You did watch our one paced lack of skills midfield didn't you?

The audacity of a bloke to go that deep into a process only to expect us to wait to see what the other hot chick has to offer. We have to start acting like we have more dignity than that. Hopefully this is another fail in a litany of Aussie rules failures for FIGJAM I look at another way Buckley was honest in his conversations with them, as they with him, as he was meeting with the Tasmanian officials on Wednesday, we chose not to wait, and thatโs fair enough, and so they made their decision, no big deal.
