  1. 'Would leave CJ on the side, yes, he makes mistakes but plays like King wants to play, and at least he gives his all while chasing or competing. I watched Petty just jog along, then tried to chase a Fremantle player when it was too late. I have more of a problem with Lever and Salem: when the heat is on, they try to take the easy option.'
  2. I agree with Windsor on the wing, as for Roo, presented a day-and-night difference in how the ball was delivered to him. In the first game compared to Saturday's game against the Saints, the ball came in quickly, and he had space. Saturday's game saw the ball bombed in, reverting to last year's style. King mentioned that he was interested to see if they would do that under pressure, and he found the answer: they did. However, they should learn from that.

Well, you know nothing about football; that's what good teams do; they adjust. Now I know they are getting used to the new style, and during that game, they reverted to the old style of bomb kicks down the line, but I doubt you notice that.
  4. King was out coached, now im not one for stats but to allow 69 more uncontested possessions means players are not manning up when not in possession or they are ball hunting and I would love to ask the coaches why particularly in the first quarter they didn't stop the bleeding and why the let it go on.
  5. Not for here...

Viney would have been as useless as an ashtray on a motor bike he is to slow aginst teams that run and move the ball quick.
  7. Truth is they reverted back to last year, King was out couched when the heat was on in the first quarter, Lever, Salem, Sparrow are just to slow to react, Freo was rucking to Gawn players allowing freo to have free space and ball hunting, but this is a reality check to where we are but change will come.

If we minimise the margin that will be a bonus. I'm leaning that way myself I think we are still suspect with opposition outside run, but once they adjust to the game plan they are trying to use it will be a lot easier to defend and attack.
  9. I thought this rule would hurt Max but maybe it might help a bit, going to interesting watching how it plays out but I love the rule the only rule I hate is the stand rule and hope they get rid of it and revert back that if a player moves of the mark they can move sideways to have an even chance.
  10. Well there were a lot of good and some bad, but I loved the fact they took it on and they were better for it, it showed when you allow players a chance to show some flair they are better for it, I was a little concerned in the last quarter they start reverting back to the old style for a bit but then got going again, you can see how May kept the backline together as Lever was all at sea, Salem does some good things but undoes everything in one hit, but it is going to take a little while to bed this gameplan down and we will cop some hidings along the way but it will get better once they learn not to allow the opposition too much freedom but I am still amazed at coaches allows the opposition loose players across the backline but then again that's today's football.
  11. When is a coach going to decide not allow the switch of the ball across the half back line to uncontested players shut it down, man up for god's sake.
  12. Heard that before, but in saying that Wonder if Oliver is still into bikes in Sydney...
  13. The only rule i hate is the stand rule the ruck rule and the free kick between the arcs is ok.
  14. I cannot understand you have that many coaches in a coaching box, and not one person would say, "Let's man up a bit" in the forward line. The Pies' rebound off the backline is their strength, allowing guys like Daicos and Pendlebury to be able to run free. It is just stupidity. I'm sure sides will address it sooner rather than later.

  16. Trac was mainly playing between the arcs, you play him the same as Dacios you just sit on them go where they go...
  17. I have said this since I started following footy, as it allows me to look at things a little deeper. After the first 6 rounds, some sides are a little slower to start, while others burst out of the blocks. The competition studies ball movement from the clubs and reacts to it. After that, you get a good idea.

  20. Picket Fence to do a nude run around the MCG at half time when Jeffo kicks 4 goals in a half against the pies....
  21. Just a question can we still recruit a player if we have any player goes on the long term injury list.
  22. Well, if it's the best for him, no problem. He has served the club well since joining us and was a pivotal player in the backline for us. Well done, and may your next journey be a great one for you.
  23. All CJ has to do is learn to slow down when kicking my concern his kicking style he puts a lot of hight on it.
