Well, this is going to be an up-and-down season until they fully nail the gameplan. The top teams will expose us on the turnover until they tidy up the defence. CJ has terrible disposal caused by rushed kicking when he can just slow down with it and can get out of position early. Howes panics when under pressure but will get better during the year. The good news is that there is a bit to like; forward entries are a hell of a lot better than the last few years as they seem to be trying to look for someone in a better position. The overlap was chalk and cheese compared to the last four years, and as they get fitter, it's going to be fun watching us do what sides have done to us. Shame about Kentfield; he, Roo, and Brodie will change the dynamics a fair bit, allowing Fritta, Kossie, and co. freedom to roam around. All in all, a great start, but we will soon find out how far we have come.

Next week should see a bit better of a tightened game plan, still too many skills errors by hand and foot, but then again that's a work in progress. My only concern is they will get caught out on the switch of play by better clubs, but it was good to see better movement of the ball. It was interesting watching Moose in the ruck; gee, there are some really good signs there. He will get better as the year goes on.

Players will be able to jump higher and into Max with the ball up at centre bounces Max will not be able to grapple with his opponent.

With the new centre bounce ball up, Max will struggle in that department around the ground and boundry throw ins he will be OK.

On Ah-Mu, i think there is a bit to work with if he was on the list he is only a kid plenty of time for development in him.

I watched the first half today. It is still a bit of dancing with your sister, but one could see the difference in how they transferred the ball across the ground instead of stop, wait, look, and go. It was go straight away. There was some good positioning by the players getting out in the open and players kicking or handballing straight away, and some better skills with hand and foot. Jefferson, I want to see under some real heat to convince me he will make it, but he looked a hell of a lot better in the contest. The downside is some players still make bad decisions and try to take on everyone (Pickett was one) when there was no need; they turn back into trouble. But with the way King wants the sides to play, one has to accept players will make mistakes, but hopefully, they will be a lot less later on. Full marks to King for bringing freedom into the side, and although there will be ups and downs during the season, I think we will be okay.

What's the bet most of the posters you showed have white hoods...

Viney will struggle with this game plan unless they find him a different role.

There is a massive masive difference in gameplan and style and it's good to see.

With a bit of development and some imput from Scarlet we might see a different Jefferson hope the penny drops for his sake.

And a club still has responsibilities for its health. Unfortunately, these types of issues are affecting all clubs. We don't know or need to know as long as the club takes action to help. As for sponsors, we are alright, but the club relies on supporters to join or go to games. If you are not winning, fans drop off, and we are not alone in that. Supporters could see that the last 4-5 years weren't working out game plan-wise, but Goodwin stuck with it, and we are paying for that now. Let's hope a braver and more modern game plan and development will allow supporters to see some hope going forward.
