Short Boundary Throw Ins
Nah that was a joke when they tried that, just have no contact until the ball is thrown in and no grappling first one that does free kick soon stop that.

I believe he was short of the mark and moved to the right as if he was outside the 5,

Short Boundary Throw Ins
Speaking of throw-ins it's about time the AFL changed the rules for ruckmen no more grapling it's a blight on the game there should be no contact until the ball is thrown in, i also agree with La Dee no more nominated ruckmen at ball ups just throw it up and if a third ruckman goes up pay a free. P.S. Also, get rid of the stand rule. Players are getting too much of an advantage.

Guess you missed the turnover ones then.

Maybe he could teach a few others to do the same, switching the ball would be so much easier.

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
You can only play against what's put in front of you, and let's be real, Sydney has a big injury list, and the two suspensions didn't help their cause. Their form on the G is not that flash, but it was good to see some positive passages of play, hopefully giving players some confidence in themselves to keep moving forward. The big test will be against the Pies, Suns, and Crows, which will show us we are among the top teams.

NON-MFC: Round 11
Three of the takeaways from that match and the pies are also doing is limiting the easy kick outs from the opposition and not all forward line players pushing up the ground to be in the contest and players not being sucked into the contest when they don't have to, we did something similar in the last quarter last week and I hope that continues.

NON-MFC: Round 11
Dogs are getting sucked into contests and trying to play on without thinking, handballing to know one in a good position.

Jeff White - Analysis
I'm talking about the analysis like white explained, there is a couple that do it and I know this one waffles on at times but Brereton is good at that, but agree with you about the rest.

Why spend any money on innovation above and beyond paying the bone headed ex footballers who clag up the coverage of the game. There is but that's not what the media want, people want to hear controversial side of football.

Jeff White - Analysis
Great analysis and it was good to see him mention about not getting sucked into the contest and hold, this is what the pies are doing, you watch Nick Daicos will lead his opponent into the contest and then peel away same with Josh it's smart play just hope we can continue to do those little things.

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
12 hours ago, MrFreeze said: I think Lever comes straight in next week, he pushes Windsor out of the backline. I would also drop Sharp and Spargo. Any of Viney/Pickett/Langdon could fill the HF spots. Windsor can play a mix of HF or wing. In: Viney, Lever Out: Spargo, Sharp Would like to see Windsor back on the wing rather than play in the backline, with the swans down players courtesy of the tribunal and their form at the G. This is a gettable game if they bring the same effort as they brought against the lions.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
Well that was a pleasant surprise and the boys should be happy with that result and would loved to have listened to Fagan talking to his group after the game when you play like millionaires when the game is on the line that's what you get, as for our players I enjoyed watching the difference some of the younger players, Lindsay, Langford, McVee, Windsor, Melksham who can dispose of the ball with a quick motion and decision making compare that with Gawn, May, McDonald etc who hold up the ball. It also showed up the skill level between the sides I still cannot understand how layers kick the ball so damm high when transferring or when there is a loose man who has to wait for it and it ends up holding the play up but overall it was a good second half and good to see them pushing to the end hope that is the standard from now on.

So you can't answer the question then that's ok thought it was a simple one apparently not.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
Then you are looking at the game only as a supporter of the club only and not looking in general to see how other clubs play the game but I ask when you are watching the game what do you watch for?

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
Did we win the flags in those years did we must have missed them.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
No, have said since 22 on this site and every year after that you could see the change and what sides are trying to do and how we were going about it.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
Guess I can see into the future then as I could see the gameplan was not going to give us another premiership with this group with the same gameplan then, the decline was there to be seen so tell me where I was wrong....

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
42 minutes ago, Roost it far said: This theory is hogwash. Injuries cruelled us in 22 and 23. Sheesh in 23 you put Petty, Melksham and Gus in that side and we’re every chance 2 flags in the bag. Yes 24 and 25 were and are disappointing but we’re midway through transforming our list and game style. We’re miles from a basket case and whilst I don’t disagree FD changes are needed we’re on the right path. Remember we’ve also dealt with Oliver going off the rails, Petracca missing half of last year and losing Gus 5 years early. No club recovers from that overnight. Imagine taking Daicos, Pendlebury and Sidebottom out of the Pies' side in 23, do they win the Flag? Hell no, not even You clearly wear rose-colored glasses too often. I said after round 10 in 2022 that we would not win another the flag; the same in 2023 and 2024. Blind Freddy could see that, and stop using Gus as an excuse for the club, as unfortunately, Gus was always one concussion away from having to retire for his health. And If you cannot see how the game has changed since 2021, well, I guess that's your problem. As for the point about the Pies, one doesn't know, and we never will, if they would or wouldn't have won the flag, but they changed their style for that flag, and they have changed again, and good for them. We have had problems in the forward part of the game since 2022. Goodwin has said that for the last three and a bit years, so tell me what has changed since then that has improved the connection. As the game has changed, Oliver and Viney struggle when the game is played on the outside and not in a contested situation. Max unfortunately struggles when he plays against ruckmen who jump into him at the center bounce, which takes away an advantage. As I have said, Stevie Wonder and other posters could see the faults, except you, or you don't want to accept it. FIG905B1_NL.pdf
