  1. Well he was employed as a .... https://www.melbournefc.com.au/teams/afl/coaches/troy-chaplin
  2. Nothing better than someone trying Gotcha, so with that when did McQualter start coaching at Melbourne oh that's right 2024 what year is it now so one year and how long has Chapin been at Melbourne 2016 and stated out as a what https://www.melbournefc.com.au/teams/afl/coaches/troy-chaplin How about you compare apples with apples not pears.
  3. So he's been there for how long I think he's seen the problems first hand for several years.
  4. And yet he's the forward coach the buck stops there full stop.
  5. Big difference one is the gameplan, two the players they had to work with we have had this problem for 3 years it's not like it just started this year, and what doesn't help is a one paced midfield with poor football decision making and poor football skills by hand and foot, if and I mean if this season becomes a complete mess I would be looking to trade some bigger names out to get what we need, before tasmania come in.
  6. 8 hours ago, Macca said: We need better key forwards I'm not enamoured with Turner, Johnson, Jefferson or JVR. Maybe we could try Kentfield? Kentfield, I have a rap on. He just needs good coaching, loves a contest, has a good football instinct, but needs time; get Hawkins or someone like him down there to mentor these young players, same for JVR, Turner regarding Jefferson, I'm not sure if he will make it.
  7. Use Turner as a lead up player but no use leading when the midfield can't kick to you.
  8. Yes the backline was under the pump but a big part of it was the midfield, lack of run turning it over so often the ball keeps getting pumped in we have a one paced midfield, a forward line that's stagnant but let's see what happens next week.
  9. Well a lawn bowls side would have been more competitive than what was offered today.
  10. If it affects you to much you don’t play simple, remember Brent Moloney did that against Geelong and got criticized for being selfish for playing the game.
  11. We were like the dogs. Everythingg fell in plac,e so yea,h we snagged a fla,g then sides worked us ou,t and we kept playing the same brand.
  12. Lmfao I said that in 22, and 23 on winning the flag in 21 and got attacked for it glad someone else said it...
  13. Max cannot jump at centre bounces anymore and he's good when he can grapple with smaller body Ruckman Xerri is not one of those.
  14. I cannot wait to see what the defenders say about this performance; wet last week, I didn't have enough sleep, or their loading, spin it all you like. It’s woeful, one-paced midfield being showing up again.
  15. Do we have a midfield coach?
  16. Tom Hawkins said the same thing, everyone can see it but the coaches, midfield is one paced have said it for the last couple of seasons being shown up again.
  17. So I guess all the reporting of the forward line movement pre season was just fiction back to being witches hats.
  18. Don't worry Pickett will kiss it better...
  19. Good to see we are back to 22,23 and 24 football stagnant.
  20. Zac Jones made some howler decisions but no doubt about he goes at it hard.
  21. Vic park was no picnic either....
  22. The one problem with fritta he likes things going one way not much chop in the wet but on the other hand he does some great things when he gets his way, he is one who should never pass the 40 metre area playing all day.
  23. Fritta is the 3-4 player in the forward line and should be used as such but until they learn JVR has never been and never will be a huge pack mark player so hopefully Chaplin can get sort this forward line out.
