I think it will take two picks out of 26, 33, 43 and 50 to land Brown. Unlikely to be 26 and 33. Won’t be 43 and 50. So likely something in between. 33 and 50 would be nice.

Was rapt when he slid as far as he did in the draft. Got ourselves an absolute bargain. He was excellent in his first season and looks as though he will have a long and successful career from here. Wouldn’t surprise me if ends up as one of our best midfielders in years to come.

It may end up being portrayed differently in the media but Tom wants to stay at Collingwood. As has been reported he may be squeezed out. I’d say in the last week or so he’s had a discussion with the club and gone from “not going anywhere” to “going elsewhere if forced to”. Absolute amateur hour at Collingwood at the moment. Morale would have to be extremely low.

Mahoney on trade radio has said Melbourne acquiring Treloar is unlikely.

Collingwood list manager just said on trade radio that discussions surrounding Tom Phillips have been around his role at the club. No mention that he’s on the trade table. As I said in the Tom Phillips thread, my source has advised he isn’t going anywhere.

Things can change pretty quickly but at this point in time I have it on the best authority possible that Tom Phillips will remain at Collingwood next season.

HUGE get. I don’t think some on here quite realise how important this is. For years we’ve had no issues getting it into our forward 50 but conversion has been the issue. This guy is the answer to this massive problem we’ve had. The only query was whether he was okay injury wise but our medical team has given him the tick of approval so it’s full steam ahead. What a signing he will be, great stuff Dees!

Big yes to Jack Higgins. He would be a walk up start in any team’s best 22 aside from Richmond who prefer Castagna, Lambert, Bolton and Rioli. We saw how valuable the discarded Butler was for the Saints this season. I rate Higgins even higher. Would be rapt to see him in the red and blue.
